We needed a little refreshing treat after a long day of unpacking and this place definitely hit the spot! There is SO many flavors to choose from. Italian ice and 'SnoBalls'. We are familiar with with shaved ice where we are from but tonight we wanted the very very thin ones which is snowballs. Italian ice to me is a thicker heavier shaved ice. I was taking pics and the owner Margie came out to see if we had any questions. I assume we looked confused as there was 2 different kinds of choices of shaved ice. She explained the difference and we did indeed make the right choice :) she was SO nice and friendly. When I'm telling you this, I'm not lieing. What a gem!!! She even let us try the Italian ice which was amazing as well. I even joked in a few years my son should get a job here ;) it's a laid back atmosphere with tables, bean bag game/cornhole. When I noticed that my change was wrong I asked the lady about it and she gave me back my $50 saying we don't accept $50s, why not tell me before taking my $ and shorting me of my change? Since it's Mother's Day and hot that day there was a long line. There was no way of telling if the orders they bringing out is yours. People are just grabbing it thinking it was theirs since they're just calling what it was. My orders took a long time which is understandable because there were so many people, but when I noticed that the people after me got theirs, I talked to the lady and she said someone took my order. I saw it when she called it out but I didn't think that was mine since it was one snow cone with blue raspberry on one side and strawberry on the other side, with sour worms and no sweet cream, so I explained to her that wasn't my order. They made me a new one and apologized. While we were eating by the truck, I overheard another guy with his kids asking about their order since the people after them Got their order and they didn't. They need to give out order numbers or take their name down. Also receipts would be nice to make sure they took the right order and add up the correct amount. Also the lady taking orders should tell their customer how much is the total of their order each time, before taking their money or card. it took me a minute to realize she short me on change. People work hard for their money, it would be nice to know that they're paying what they really ordered, not getting short on change or not paying short for the order.

They have now called 78 and still no ice cream and no coke float. How does this make any sense? And she's rude because she's mad she had to remake someone's snow cones, cool I'd be upset too but at the end of the day I don't understand how an ice cream cone can take longer than ANYTHING else to make. One Ice Machine? In This Heat? Bold Strategy…read more I drove an hour in the middle of a heat wave like I was on a mission from the shaved ice gods. I pulled up to Waves Shave Ice in Holly Springs, ready to cool down and live my best life. Instead, I got a front-row seat to a sweaty comedy. Stood in line for over 60 minutes under the blazing sun -- no shade, no misting fans, not even a warning flare. Then, just as I get close to the window... "Sorry, our ice machine just broke." Ma'am. Sir. ONE ice machine? In the peak of summer? With this kind of traffic? Y'all need at least two, maybe even three. This place is too popular to be operating like a home kitchen with one blender on life support. They need to treat this like a concert venue, not a lemonade stand. Invest in backup machines -- or at least an emotional support popsicle for the folks in line. I left hotter than I came, spiritually and physically.
