Worst dry cleaner I have ever used. Deserves zero stars for both quality as well as customer service. I brought several sets of bed linens and a large amount of table linens (table cloth and napkins) to be cleaned and pressed. In total more than 40 items. Aside from two sets of bed linens that I had brought for routine weekly cleaning, all the other items were brand new and straight from the packages, and I had merely brought them to be cleaned and pressed prior to the first use. I was horrified when they were delivered back to me. Almost every item came back stained with stains that were not present when I entrusted them to Kim's Cleaners. Bed linens had large, rust-like (brownish orange) patches in multiple places. They also had dirt and grease stains. The linen table cloth and linen napkins almost all had scorch marks all over them. When I dropped them off, I specifically pointed out that the table linens were made of linen and not made of cotton. These are all costly, fine linens, and I explained the materials at drop off, asked if they felt comfortable cleaning them, and was assured that yes, of course they could. The employee at Kim's Cleaners (Steve) attempted to convince me that these marks were from starch spray that had been used, and could be easily removed. After asking Steve questions about what had happened, why someone would deliver my items back to me knowing they looked like this, and other questions, Steve became aggressive and started responding by asking me questions like, "do you really expect your linens to remain clean forever?" I also pointed out stains to him (I had put stain tags on each area there was a stain in order to easily identify), and he refused to acknowledge the stains were even there! Despite the fact they were visible to the naked eye. He also attempted to trivialize the stains, claiming they didn't even matter, and told me several times he "didn't have time for this" and that he "had work to do." I was shocked that a dry cleaner would act this way. I refused to provide him the items to re-clean as I no longer had any trust in him. I brought my items instead to my normal dry cleaner (they are fantastic--the only reason I didn't bring them there to begin with was because most of my items were brand new and there was no reason to spend so much to clean and press them at my amazing, but costly, normal dry cleaner) and they confirmed to me that the scorch marks were in fact scorch marks, as I believed them to be, and not just stains that could be removed as Steve had tried to claim. These folks do the dry cleaning for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, so they are experts in dry cleaning, unlike Steve, who knows nothing about dry cleaning and nothing about customer service. Kim's Cleaners is the worst because while no dry cleaner should be expected to guarantee that they can remove stains, no dry cleaner should be expected to create stains and permanently damage items. read more
