we stopped by Kim's during a recent visit back to Largo. Food was delicious portions were huge and the staff is great!! highly recommend!

Clean place with friendly staff...The Biscuits and gravy were quite tasty...The hash browns were fine....Wasn't a fan of the bacon...it was like way overcooked and had been sitting around...It was literally like I was eating potato chips. read more

Saw this place the last time we were out for lunch and decided prey it out. In assuming place with a nice lunch menu but they serve breakfast all day apparently Grabbed a cup of the chicken and rice soup to start. Delicious! Lots of tender chicken and great flavors. So I was craving a cold sandwich so I landed on the turkey and ham club. Piled high with fresh fixings. Came with fries which were good. Deb had the chicken salad. Pretty tasty. Kim's is not a fancy place; it's in a strip on Starkey Rd in more of an industrial area. Its size is deceiving, inside is pretty spacious. On a Sunday morning there was a good crowd and several servers taking care of the hungry diners. Dia was our server and we were happy to see her at this restaurant! (We remember her from another place) Nice menu, plenty of choices and the prices are more than competitive! (Actually they are low but don't tell them!) Breakfast was very good, eggs cooked as ordered, delicious vanilla French Toast, crispy bacon and the sausage links were tasty and not dried out! Love their menu, where the offer different items and quantities, such as one egg$, 2 eggs$, 3 eggs...where choosing the less quantities, such as one egg, sausage, home fries, toast is $0.50 less than the 2 egg version. Kim's is AOK Kim's for a late Sunday breakfast wasn't too busy since it was pushing closing time. I was warmly welcomed, nevertheless. The place has a nice atmosphere, and the service was extra kind and helpful. I tried my usual items to test breakfast. The scrambled egg was good but could have been a little fluffier. The thick slice of ham I got was well seared and very flavorful. The biscuit was fluffy Fand, as an added bonus, cut in half and toasted! The French toast was on the thicker side yet still cooked all the way through. Usually, it is soggy in the middle, but not here. The grits were the right consistency, but the flavor was flat. Adding some salt and butter helped, but that should have been done in the kitchen. While not everything I ate was excellent, it was close enough. I was willing to round up my star rating due to the warm and friendly service. read more

What once was Peter's Family Restaurant, is now Kim's Family Restaurant. They are open everyday from 6AM-2PM serving breakfast and lunch while also serving diner meals until closing. For breakfast you can get 2 eggs, biscuit or toast, home fries, choice of meat for $5.29. Of course all the breakfast staples like pancakes,french toast, waffles, biscuits and gravy, lots of omelets combinations, sinful Benedict's, and a variety of "slams." Lunch menu has many options ie: 1/4 pound burgers, variety of salads, fruit bowls, wraps, and sandwiches. They offer their "Homemade" meals until closing. Meatloaf, liver&onions, pot roast, chicken shish kabob, spaghetti & meatballs, chopped steak with onions, and fresh roasted beef, pork, and turkey & dressing. On this day I opted for lunch. A cup of their loaded potato soup and a hamburg patty melt w/fries and a soda.. The soup although flavorful, was too thick, more of a consistency of a thick chowder. My patty melt was just OK, the fries where not hot and tasted kind of old. Even my diet coke tasted kind of flat. About the service, I'll try to be kind now, lets just say it was on the slow side. So normally I'd rate this visit 2-stars, seeing that they just opened I'll be generous and give them 3-stars, with the hope that in time they'll iron out the kinks. read more

I just discovered this restaurant today when I was with friends of mine in largo The service was very good I had a few questions to ask the waitress of what she answered honestly which I appreciate it the burger I ordered was cooked to perfection at the medium or temperature I requested. They actually had my favorite. Western omelette sandwich! Nobody has that. Their French toast is yummy! the food is amazing, but one day I couldn't leave a tip when I ate there. I'm living in my car and used the only extra money I had to eat inside, and when I got to the counter, KIM asked me "your not going to tip her" which was weird because I tip if I can but living in my car is hard and I've ate several places and never been asked that, which was rude. the next time I went in there to pick up food and she didn't give me any eye contact and not even a hi how are you. I understand tips are important but also be empathetic for people who really can't especially if their loyal customers and come in a lot or order a lot like myself. can't be so money hungry. we're all living poor. read more

Hard to find a reliable breakfast haunt as an early riser in an area dominated by holiday traffic so I'm very glad to have found Kim's! The value can't be beat. If you opt for the specials they are consistently delicious and it's tough to beat dollar for dollar. Also, the restaurant itself is just a nice place to be. This place is a favorite with the 65 and older bunch. I had a quickie omelette with mozzarella and no seasoning on it at all I had to adulterate it with salt and pepper. I have water with my drink and there's something about the taste of the water it's not right I don't know if it's the ice cubes or the water but taste it when you come here and see for yourself. read more

My last visit and why. So two weeks in a row I've gone in and order a breakfast and side. I asked to have it a particular way. Well both time I asked for egss up and cirnbeef hash. With a side of chipped beef with the toast on the side. Both times I got sausage gravy. The first week it was over the hash with toast on the side jyst got the wrong topping. The second week I was sever two entrees on two different plate and again got sausage gravy. If you won't substitute say so. read more

Phenomenal service and amazing food. The owner, Kim, and her beautiful daughter were our servers, and they did not let one detail go unmet.
