This has gotta be my new fave restaurant. This weekend we were on a kick with trying new food. Today was Albanian food day. This restaurant I would say is off the beaten path. In Largo on a corner near a residential area next to an older gas station, you will find this brick building and this restaurant on its own. Walk inside and it is nicely decorated and you don't feel like you're in Florida anymore. You're definitely transported. I walked in, & let them know we are new to Albanian food and would love if they could help us order. They were so friendly and helpful. So much food here looks good and different. They have pics on their menu online. Pics are the ultimate game changer for us. It's a must have with picking food. We decided on two entrees this time. Lamb Shank with risotto for the hubby and Bronzino Mediteranean fish for me. Love love love these flavors. So much and not comparable. Definitely unique. We'll be back for more. It was just so good. Service was great and friendly and warm and helpful. Definitely a must try if you haven't been and would like something special, and tasty.

Wow, we just had lunch there yesterday and can't believe how good this place was. The owner was so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the ambiance was fantastic. Everything we ordered was on point. We will definately be back and bring some friends. Highly recommend!!!

Great family owned restaurant with some excellent food! Service was excellent for our large group. We really enjoyed the family feeling of the restaurant. We started off with the large sample appetizer and this was perfect for everyone to try different meats and cheeses. The lamb shank and meatballs (the appetizer and the meatball entree were very good) stole the show. The lamb shank with risotto was very very delicious!!!

We love to try new and different cuisines and cultures. So this fit the bill. Our appetizers were the meatballs, the cornbread in yogurt brine and cheese pasta in balsamic fig. The cheese pasta was hands down our favorite followed closely by the meatballs. The dipping sauce for the meatballs is reminiscent of tzatziki sauce with a kick. The house wine is a delicious red and very good. Highly recommend! We all ordered lamb dishes and it was all delicious. The dessert was baklava but not like Greek baklava, it was not as sickeningly sweet, and it had two small scoops of peach ice cream. Delicious!! Service was outstanding and the by the owner who waited on us. The atmosphere was authentic Albanian music and video of their countryside. A very good place to visit and enjoy a new cuisine.

    Oda's Mezze appetizer

Tried this place out while on vacation in Indian Rocks Beach. Food was amazing! Wife had the Bronzino which came with shrimp, too, both phenomenal. We also got the strip steak which was great and for my meal I got the Oda's Mezze, which is an appetizer that feeds 2-3 (according to the menu) and it was the highlight of the meal. Would work great as a table appetizer, for sure. Everything on the platter was awesome, the sausage being my favorite, the cheesy stuffed pepper being a close second. Service was amazing too, I highly recommend this place.

We had a change of plans and ended up needing to find a restaurant to grab food from to bring to a friend house for dinner. I was yelping what was good in the area and saw this place. The star rating was amazing, but there were only about a dozen reviews, so I was a little bit hesitant. Were they legit reviews, or were they all friends and family of the owners? We decided to try it out anyway. I mean, Albanian food is not very common, and I'm always up for trying someplace new. This place was amazing! I was sad that we couldn't eat there because it was so cute inside. They even have a little back screened in covered patio with nice views. The reviews I had seen on yelp had mentioned the lamb shank, so we got two lamb shanks, and the owner recommended the pork as a popular dish, so we got two of those, along with the byrek dish and bave dheu. They were out of the roasted vegetable dish. We had a drink while waiting, and we're pleased by the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner. We were the only ones in there when we arrived, but by the time we left, they had a couple of small groups of people come in When we got to our friends' house, we took everything out of the bag. The food was... Oh my gosh... Amazing! The meats were both well cooked, tender, and moist meat and the sauces were amazing! The lamb shank had a wine sauce and the pork chop had a cream sauce. I don't think there was a drop of sauce left on any of our plates. It was so delicious. The other sides were great too! And now our friends are planning on coming back as well - we were all blown away by this food! Definitely check it out! You won't be disappointed. (I wish I had a picture of all the foods, but we just ate it up too quickly.)

We chose to sit outside, and even with the Florida summer heat, the overhead fans kept the patio comfortable, making for a beautiful evening. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. We loved the complimentary warm bread served with seasoned olive oil--it was a huge hit with the kids before our food even arrived. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with two delicious dipping sauces. It disappeared quickly! For our entrées, the coconut shrimp was outstanding. The shrimp were large, coated in a crunchy toasted coconut breading, and paired perfectly with the orange blossom honey marmalade. The creamy garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and roasted tomatoes rounded out a delicious plate. We also ordered the crab cakes, which were packed with lump crab meat, perfectly seared, and complemented by the Creole mustard aioli. Our kids were just as impressed! The kids' fish and chips meal came with a surprisingly generous portion of flaky fish, crispy fries, and fresh fruit, making it an excellent value. Our other child ordered the adult cheeseburger entrée and couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. It was thick, juicy, perfectly cooked, topped with melted cheddar, and served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce and tomato. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. Combined with the relaxing outdoor atmosphere and exceptional service, Guppy's delivered a fantastic dining experience. It's easy to see why it's such a favorite on Indian Rocks Beach, and we'll definitely be back!

She was rushing me that I almost forgot to order the bland oysters and gross BBQ barely cooked bacon wrapped scallops. When I tried to back up to order the apps. She literally yelled. Are you not going to order your kids entrees? Like accusing me of child abuse. The table next to us looked up. Then when I tried to order my son's dish w sides. She kept insisting / yelling w wide eyes. It only comes w fries. And I explained I'm not ordering the basket of shrimp. I'm ordering the entree. When she finally listened. She apologized and realized how rude she was coming across. Probably bc both my husband and kids as well as the other table had awkward shocked looks on our faces. She was much more pleasant after that. I tried not to take offense. Maybe the fan was distracting her from listening as it was blowing us out of the restaurant. The fan was on so high w the AC that everyone was freezing bc we came from the beach w wet bathing suits under our clothes. The kids kept going outside to warm up while we dove for our napkins and other items that flew off the table every min from the hurricane winds. I mean fan. We asked if they could turn it down or off and they said the other table wouldn't approve which was funny bc their child was wearing a hoodie and had to also go outside to warm up complaining loudly he didn't want to eat his chicken. He was too cold. Clearly they would have not wanted that fam off. They also are child abusers like us. I'm leaving detailed of a review bc I want a reminder that $160 later for a family of 4 isn't worth this and to not repeat this mistake bc we visit this beach often. Definitely walk farther.

I love to get the warm lobster roll and it comes with a lobster butter. I like to get their coconut shrimp since it's hand battered on site and also their onion rings are also hand battered made to order. They have a really good smoky dipping mayo sauce that comes with the onion rings or fries. It is a very good sauce. I would say it's the saltier version of cane sauce and a small gear version as well. It's absolutely phenomenal. You will never find a better coconut shrimp or a better onion rings than here this place really does it very well better than any place I've ever had homemade. The lobster roll is very very fresh. I think this is the only place in Florida that does it the best I used to fly to Boston just to get a lobster roll and ever since I've been here I don't have to do that anymore lol. The environment was so cozy and magical. It was a wonderful feel and the food transported you to France. My spouse loved sitting in France outside and dining and the establishment reminded him of that. He lived there for several years. Then they moved to Indian Rocks Beach and since that move we had not been in. But a few months ago we found out where they moved to. Last night my son wanted to take us out to eat for Mother's Day since he has to work today. We happily drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there. The environment has lost its appeal and its mundane. Which is not the end because we came also for the food. My son ordered lamb chops which were one bite pieces of lamb on a the bone and there were 3. The gravey lacked any reduction and or flavour. It was pretty much tasteless. My spouse ate one of the chops to try it and agreed. I tasted the sauce off his plate. The cook on the lamb was good. My son was very disappointed as he loves lamb. When he said something to the women who owns it she brushed him off as it was no big deal and claimed no one has ever complained about the lamb before. Which is a blanted lie just look at the reviews. I personally find that hard to believe. I ordered Bouillabaisse, which is a personal favourite of mine. Due to her attitude towards my son I said nothing. I ate a few bites and took the rest home and threw it out. The scallops and shrimp are chewy. The monkfish was overcooked and the salmon was extremely fishy tasting. The only dinner item that was good was the Steak Diana that my husband ordered. After we ordered crème brulle missing its an upcharge for the flame it was served cold. The sugar crust was burnt and so thick it stuck to our teeth. We left part of it and all shared it instead of each of us ordering desserts. My son who paid thought maybe she didn't understand and thought he would say something before leaving because the meal at $190 with 1 beer in the mix was a bit high for food that was NOT good. She was cold and so what about it. So he left rather upset. Which upsets me. I find it hard to believe that being French or not one would care so little about their guests feeling were towards their food. For this reason we will not return. There are other French establishments that we can dine at and the fact that there is nothing I can't cook for myself. But sometimes I just like it made for me. It was for Mother's Day after all.

To our pleasant surprise, we were seated right away even though the restaurant was very busy! They initially placed us in a booth and we kindly asked if there was a table near the window since they had a great view of the water. The hostess checked and found us a table next to the window. Great start so far. Our server was pleasant, though service was a bit slow. But again, the restaurant was very busy so we understood and were just happy to enjoy a meal there. It was our last night on the beach and we were very hungry, so we decided to order a bunch of items: Espresso martini Bread basket Lobster bisque Smokin' fresh tuna spread Sushi Red grouper (catch of the day), Indian shores style with shareable side of au gratin potatoes Red grouper (catch of the day), wood fire grilled with mashed potatoes Shareable side of charred asparagus Our server spaced them out and brought out the drink, the bread, the soup, and tuna spread first. The bread was supposed to be sourdough, but when the basket came out I noticed it didn't look or taste like sourdough so we checked with the server and he informed us that they ran out of sourdough so they gave us basically a French baguette. This was surprising and quite disappointing because we should have been notified of the change right away. Also concerning for allergies, but fortunately, we didn't have any. Then came the sushi and finally the entrees. Almost everything was delicious. One of the grouper entrees was a bit overcooked, but we really enjoyed the sides. The espresso martini was smooth and strong. Even though I always make room for dessert, we decided to skip because by the time we finished our entrees, we had already been there for two hours. He helped us navigate the menu. The food and the wait time is what fell short for us. We were there for an over two hours. We ordered the Calamari appetizer. It wasn't as spicy as it was described on the menu. When we ordered our main dishes & Al a carte side items, the service slowed. Jerry visited our table a few times to note that he was checking the kitchen because our food was taking forever. We never even mentioned this to him. He noticed and kept checking. I appreciated that. For mains:I ordered a NY strip rare which was market price ($41) I found this out when the check came out. This was the longest and skinniest looking strip I've ever seen. The ends were completely overcooked. The middle was cooked properly so only part of my steak was edible. My friend ordered chicken Alfredo. This was the strangest dish. There wasn't even sliced grilled chicken on top. I would expect at least that from a high quality restaurant. Instead, there were chunks of chicken in it and some random asparagus. Out of the kindness of his heart, Jerry comped our appetizer and offered us a free dessert. It was a nice touch and we tipped him well. We asked for our dessert to be boxed because we were tired after the longest dinner I've ever had to wait for. This place came highly recommended and has great ratings, but I will not be returning. I hope you have a better experience than we did. Jerry was the star of the show here. Fantastic employee. The food? Not so much.
