this is after my "manicure", my nails looked like this before i came in....filthy place, dirt everywhere, rude nail tech that yanked my arms and argued with her daughter who was pissed that i came in because SHE wanted to get her nails done, and had to wait. my entire manicure, polish and all, took 4 mins less time than my boyfriends simple no polish manicure. just so you understand how rushed this was. the tools were dirty, the file looked older than me, and the only reason i paid is because my boyfriend's nails looked half decent. what a disgrace, i'd love to get this place shut down. DISGUSTING. edit: the owner just told me that this isn't the type of service they're known for, so why do my nails look like this? You can SEE where it wasn't cut at all, or filed!!! Dirt under my nails!! did i photoshop this?? i even left some yellow polish on that i got for proof that this was definitely after i left. Took her 5 min to do pedicure and 30 sec to do manicure. It looked like she is pretending she is working! Nail tools were not even touching my nails or toes. She did not care about the result that's for sure. I personally care about the look of my hands and they have to look nice and knit after the manicure!!!! If I'm paying 45$ just for them to throw a cute color on my nails I can do it myself for 3$!!! The girl started talking to me only when we got to tipping part. She was very nice than. Just went to Kim's nails and I will never go back. First they ask you to pick a fragrance for your pedicure, making you assume it is part of the regular $30 mani/pedicure. LuckiIy I asked and and found out that was the $50 pedicure package. No thank you. The girl doing my pedicure and manicure was very unfriendly. Did not speak one word to me. Stopped during the service to talk with other manicurists. I guess she can't multi task....talk and do nails at the same time. She put the clear coat on so fast she missed half the nail. As I read through the other reviews, I think a big part of the vast discrepancy between positives and negatives come down to one thing: expectations This is NOT the place you go when you want to spend all afternoon, lounging with your girlfriends for a relaxing spa day. This is NOT the place you go when you want to pampered for an hour-long pedicure. This is NOT the place you go when you want to learn your salon specialist's name, kids' names, grandkids' names, and be asked about your own family's life status each time you come in. This IS the place to go when you've had a long day at work and dinner has to be on the table in an hour, but you still need to fit in a manicure and there's no time to spare. This IS the place to go when your daughter has gymnastics class and you need to guarantee that you'll be back in 45 minutes to pick her up, including drive time. This IS the place to go when you rarely take time out for yourself and you need to spontaneously walk into a place to get a pedicure done before the next set of craziness hits. Bottom line....this place is all about efficiency. This doesn't mean they're going to cut all the corners and leave you with a crappy mani-pedi job that has to be redone in a few days. I've been here a couple times and the nail polish has lasted just as long as if I had them done at other locations. Don't be surprised to see timers hanging next to your pedicure chair, though, because they're expected to have your pedi done in 20 minutes (maybe it's 25?) and 30-35 minutes if you get the deluxe upgrade. This might seem rushed, but they still do all the cuticle clipping, callus scrubbing, etc., and ultimately, it means that there's pretty much never a wait if you come in here spontaneously. They'll either get you in immediately or within a few minutes. Just be ready to switch your feet in and out of the water faster than you're probably used to because they'll be bouncing back and forth between each treatment on each foot rather rapidly. As for cleanliness, the equipment sterilizers are visible across the back wall and the pedicure tubs will be thoroughly cleaned for the next customer before your own toenail polish has even dried. In fact, my only slight complaint is that because the "efficiency" bit is so clearly enforced, the manager(?) is often walking around, staring down at what each tech is doing. I'm sure it's to make sure "everybody is happy" and that all the techs are actually working quickly.....but it did make it feel a bit workshop-ish and unnecessary. Like I said above, you're likely not going to feel 'pampered' here, but it doesn't always feel great to be the number on a staff member's quota that has to be finished quickly either. If you see it all as business transactions, though, then it gets the job done....nails are done successfully and quickly, so the customer gets the service they paid for, and the staff member gets to move on to the next paying customer faster than they might at another salon. read more

Clean but subpar service with a rude staff! I was a customer of Kim's Nails in Delran for a period of time and stopped for more than 2 years. Why? The staff is rude and only concerned with getting you in and out. This is NOT ok if they do a sloppy polish, clip your cuticles too short, and ignore your requests. For a period of time, they had timers (yes, really) at their stations and pedicure chairs. The regular OPI polishes are old and clumpy but they continue to add polish remover to stretch it. One of the reasons a polish doesn't last. One of the ladies named Kelly, consistently over paints and has to clean your nails with remover over and over. The other older lady (not owner) is the worst. She is extremely rude and sprints through the service. I decided not to return after giving them another try when COVID restrictions eased. I talked to a friend and she had the same experience with the "sprinter" recently. Unbeknownst to me, she too was on the brink of looking for a new salon. OWNER: It is time to assess the way you conduct business. You are in a high traffic area but most times you are slow even before COVID. It is a repeat business, most get service every two weeks. You should make sure your customers have a pleasant experience so they recommend to their friends. Talk to your staff about making snide remarks (you too!), pay attention to customer requests, and take pride in your work. Doesn't hurt to smile either. I don't speak your native language but it is clear you and your husband are not very nice to your staff. I watch the way you interact and it is never friendly. I have NEVER seen timers in a nail salon, I can't imagine how that made them feel to be timed. I didn't like it at all as a customer. It was a factor in me leaving the first time. Lastly, your prices are cheap but the service is below standard. There is an abundance of decent nails salons in your area. Thankfully, I found a new one and will not be returning! They are super clean, polite, efficient and beautifully appointed. Why not have a face to face with the owner??? I think a review is more impactful. Hopefully they take heed. As a licensed cosmetologist, I can tell you this place is disgusting. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because my nails looked good in the end and the prices were cheap. They used CLEARLY used and not sanitized nail clippers and cuticle nippers on me. They used a disposable nail file on me (they are meant to be thrown away after EVERY use). the file looked like it had been used hundreds of times. Nothing to do with the services, but they had a fish tank up front that was way too small for the fish in it. Poor guys have no room. Edit: they claim they get checked by health inspectors but have they been checked by the state board? Place is dirty, and gross. read more

First time trying this nail salon as I'm new to the area!!! BIG MISTAKE!!!! I called first to see if they did "chrome nails". The lady told me that I needed to come in! (that should've been my first sign). As soon as I walked in, I was hurried over to a chair where there women showed me the polish. 60 secs hasn't even passed before the woman started taking the current polish off my nails! (I didn't even pick a color yet!) (2nd sign I ignored). The woman who did my nails (not sure of her name since they didn't wear name tags) was VERY AGGRESSIVE! First she told me that I shouldn't get the chrome polish that I picked out because it "doesn't look like the sample!) Then, she filed my nails wayyyyyy too short!!! I think she could tell that I was upset at this point! She tried to cover it up by adding gel to it (which she charged me for) then she continued filing away!!!! She didn't stop to tell me to wash my hands (like most CLEAN salons would do) but instead she kept hurrying through my nails!!!! (35 mins total time! - incl. full set!) This was the most unpleasant nail experience ever!!! If I wasn't in need of a manicure in such short notice, I would have taken my time to explore nearby salons!!! I will never return! read more

I recently went in for a pedicure and a my nails and dropped my cash that I was going to use to pay them. I had no idea I had dropped my money in the salon, so I assumed I left the money at home and used my credit card. I went home and realized that I had not dropped the money at home so I called them the following day for the $50 cash and they said that they would look and call me back. And call me back they did! First of all, if the owner reads this, I did notice you only mostly comment on positive reviews and I would change that. This one is not positive. I wanted to try a new nail place when I'm not near cherry hill, huge mistake. I am a gen Z/millennial who feels terrible complaining about anywhere, but just don't go here. Whoever my tech was was NASTY. She stood over me while I picked my colors, was extremely abrasive when she told me what to do, seemed annoyed by me, put the same color on my toes as my nails without even asking me so I had to ask her to take it off which made her more annoyed, and the appointment ended by giving me a different price than what was on their website due to a "Covid charge." A covid charge? I guess for the plexi glass they had to put up? that should have been on the website. The nail file, like others have said, looked extremely used and it was also a sorry excuse for a hand massage, like literally 10 seconds. I ended up picking colors I really didn't like that much because she was literally staring at me and I picked something I thought was alright. She did my toes literally under the table with my foot on her thigh which was super uncomfortable, in other salons even if you just get a polish change, they let you sit in the chair. These comments are so detail-oriented but a nail salon has one job and my advice is DO BETTER because there are a trillion salons in New Jersey. I understand covid makes everything different but just don't open up if you're going to give people a bad experience that they have to pay for (all of my comments are not new though, similar things were said way before covid.) Also, don't YANK MY ARMS and shout directions in my face. MY GOODNESS. After reading other reviews I'm not alone in this complaint. I honestly tipped her poorly anyway and I think that's the first time I've ever actually done that to someone, like, ever. I'm paying you for your services, please don't stand over me/rush me, sigh in my face, and act annoyed by me. These people are insanely rude. I have been coming to Kim's for about a year now for acrylics and gel color. This is a great place to get your nails done and it's super affordable! The staff are very friendly and always happy to see me, and refer to me by name each time I come in - which is something you don't see much anymore. I moved out of town recently and still come back every two weeks to get my nails done because I feel that I can trust that they will always be just the way I want them! My Mom's likes the place, so I came back with her and got an eyebrow wax. The same person proceeded to take my left eyebrow off. Literally. The owners said I did not tell her what I wanted done. I am really surprised at all these bad reviews. I've been going here for around 5 years, maybe even more at this point, and right now it's the only place I'll go for my nails. I do admit there is only one person I really like to have do my nails there, Lilyann, not sure how she really spells it. But she is the best and I always request her. Aside from that, I think the manager guy is very nice, all the ladies are always very nice to me even when I'm being picky, which I often am. If you're not happy with the service, ask them to redo it. My favorite was on vacation so another lady did it, I wasn't happy with the polish job and actually SAID SOMETHING nicely so she redid it, and then I was happy. If you aren't happy with something, you should let them know while you're there or go back and tell them nicely rather than just get mad and post a bad review. They will most likely work with you, I'm sure they'd rather keep your business. read more

I have been going to Kim's nails for over 6 years sporadically throughout the years . Mostly the same staff every time . Over the weekend I took my toddler to get nails painted for the first time . I was appalled by the owners behavior & nail technician . The owner attempted to grab the nail polish bottle out of my daughters hands . Apparently in recent days a child was in and dropped a bottle & it made a mess. While my daughter was getting her nails done she moved her finger , instead of saying something to her nicely she looked at me in a very nasty tone " tell her not to move " . I have been going for quite some time. Cindy is the only one who is diligent and does a professional job. The owner is catty and thinks we can't pick up her negative talk. In November my 13 year old recieved an 8 minute pedicure and her full set with gel was wrong shaped nail. I explained she wanted a ballerina shape and she got awful square. Too add to it, the girl forgot to paint her ring finger nails silver so she painted over RED polish with the silver and had the nerve to tell her to put her own top coat on at home. So much for a special treat for her first formal dance. Our next visit we both had appointments with Cindy and all was well minus the arrogant female owner. For this last appointment I called and made appointments with Cindy back to back. The owner tried to put my daughter with someone else. When I said no she argued with me that she never said my daughter had an appointment with Cindy. I ended it there and we walked out.
