The staff are all super nice! They always check on you while cleaning tables, and they're really easy to talk to. The food is pretty good, I'd say maybe 8/10 depending on what you get. I typically get the broccoli chicken (after one of the servers suggested it, I tried it and was hooked pretty much instantly) and sometimes we get the crab ragoons, which are always hot and fresh. The restaurant itself though... It needs to be redone. They need new lights, new chairs, new tiles on the floor... It looks pretty raggedy. I have to take a few seconds once I walk out for my eyes to adjust to the light outside. They've been under new management for a while now, and it has sincerely improved. We used to not go here because of people I know getting food poisoning, but the food is actually both edible AND delicious now. If you've gone in the past and found it was bad, give it another chance now! I'm giving four stars instead of five because the inside of the restaurant could be a LOT better. The stereo playing 99.9 in particular is a little annoying sometimes. read more

The staff are absolutely cold and RUDE anymore. All I can taste in the food these days is salt, salt and more salt. You can tell no care goes into how food is made since Ms. Kim retired. Then again, I'm expecting professionalism out of Sabine Parish, so shame on me. read more

Ate at Kim's today. Everything was absolutely amazing!!! From the appetizers to the lo mein to the main dishes and fried rice. All homemade and nothing out of a can or pre made! My family will eat here over and over! The fried broccoli was our favorite!!!! read more

Oh My Gosh! Ate at Kim's this evening and couldn't eat that which was on a plate. Beef cut into bite-sized bits on a bed of totally raw cabbage is not teriyaki steak. Most of the beef in the beef chow mien was gristle; the "vegetables" were composed of more cabbage in a gloopy sauce--YUCK! Kim WAS back but is gone again and so am I. Sorry. THE WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. The "chicken" lo mein I ordered HAD NO CHICKEN IN IT. Also, my "lo mein" was actually just spaghetti noodles smothered with soy sauce. The egg drop soup was a tasteless, bland atrocity regardless of the hair in it. The pork fried rice had a total of three less than baby sized pieces of pork. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like the Kraft sauce off the shelf at Walmart. My water had no ice. In addition to the extremely low food quality, the service was horrible. No one asked how the food was or "can I get ya anything else?" (probably because they knew how awful the food was) The only food item served at this restaurant that was up to par were the fortune cookies. THANK GOD THEY DON'T MAKE THEIR OWN FORTUNE COOKIES. It's a shame Yelp won't let me give them less than a zero star. read more

Food is always hit or miss. I order the same thing every time and I'd say once out of every three times will actually be decent. I was approached and harassed by another customer last time I went to pick up a take out order and no one bothered to ask him to sit down or leave. Kitchen staff was goofing off. Won't be back. For a small town, I was very pleased with my experience at Kim's Kitchen for a late lunch during the week. The menu is so diverse with breakfast served all day, American cuisine, Chinese, and Korean. The wait staff were very friendly and the cooks seem to enjoy themselves. I love to know the staff at any business can be happy and enjoy themselves while working hard. I ordered the bulgogi which was delicious and my husband had a very large breakfast plate to include an omelet and sides. The price is great. The reason I give 4 stars is due to overall less than adequate aesthetics of the restaurant ( decor, inside and outside of the restaurant and menu could all be given more attention in order to appeal more to the customer). I've been eating at Kim's for years. My boyfriend has even worked there and we eat there. The food is great, but I'm going to be completely honest its hard to find hardworking people to work there so every so often you get some jerk come wait on you but other than that every one especially Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Chong are very nice!! I suggest the Beef and Onion on the Korean menu with Yakimondos. read more
