I went here during lunchtime for a private room business event. I decided to get the crab meat Rangoon nachos since they were recommended in the reviews. Order, give them your phone number and they text you for pick up when it's ready. The entree was prepared quickly and was enough for two people or more. It was delicious but had too much cream cheese for my liking. Finding close parking during lunch time is difficult. I parked at the 219 N. Grand River garage and took a less than 10 walk via the Skywalk. Competitive prices, clean and good service. I would return.

Still love Kin Thai. The Rangoon nachos were so interesting! The orange sauce had a little bit of kick that kept it interesting. HUGE portion!

Thought I was going to be getting a boba tea, when you are ordering a boba tea you might expect it to come with boba right? Wrong. The drinks that are advertised as "boba tea" actually do not include the advertised "boba" and it is actually an additional charge. As for the matcha tea itself, it's overly sweet with a gritty texture and obviously is made with poor quality matcha powder and does not taste how quality matcha should. You would expect to get better quality product and accurate descriptions of said products when you are paying $6+ for a it! Will not be returning unfortunately...

Food was good over all. The PadThai did have a little heavy on fish or oyster sauce. I do not eat seafood so I probably was overly sensitive lol. Medium heat was great and after 3 bites the heat took over and I was in other by the sauce. Would eat here again

    oversweented guava fruit boba

Extremely petty owner yace hang would not let his workers switch a bad drink they made for me. NO boba stores would ever deny that but this restaurant does. Guava drink is too sweet and one sip proves that. Will not be returning.

I don't approve, way over priced for what it is. Trust me, I don't mind spending. But for what it's worth it seems like a rip off.

The decor was pretty cool, had a mixed jungle theme mixed in with some Christmas spirit... we couldn't stop looking around at the decorations. The service and food were amazing. They have a ton of unique dishes mixed in with some Thai staples. We had a veggie curry dish and some pad thai. The portion sizes were just right and the spice levels were perfect. Definitely recommend! We will be back next time we are in the area.

So...Order was taken and the wait was long..I was fine with that because... good food takes time!! First came the rangoons and they were exceptional!! And if the story ended there it would be 5 stars! But the story does infact Not end there. First two entrées were served and 25 minutes there were 3 more and 40 minutes after that the 6th entrée was served. 3 out of the 6 were messed up 2 were great and 1 was absolutely not good. Our drinks were never refilled and for all this I got the pleasure of paying 267 bucks.. its truly not about the money. As I still gave 25 percent. Its about lack of value. I felt that the local walk in Chinese takeout was the same if not better for 75 percent less.. when 5 out of 6 people leave there not happy it definitely doesn't build good memories. Thank said I wouldn't go back.

Deceptive Businesses Practices. Not to be trusted!!…read more I was really craving some good Thai food, so I walked 15 minutes from my hotel to this business for a takeout order. I ordered the gang musmun. When the lady rang me up, the order total seemed high. When she handed me the receipt to sign, it was an even higher price than what she had just stated a moment earlier. I asked her about it, and she told me I had been charged a dollar for the takeout containers. Nowhere on any sign or on the menu does it state there is a charge for takeout containers. I'm pretty sure she was just padding my bill to benefit her business. Outrageous!! After walking so far, and still having to walk back, I just decided to pay the bogus charge since I was tired and hungry. As for the food, it was disappointing. Watery and too heavily seasoned with fish sauce. It tasted like bland heavily salted water. Very disappointing as I've had some amazing curries in my life and know good Thai food. This was not good Thai food. Not even close. I can't judge an entire restaurant based on one dish, but I can tell you, based on this one dish I would definitely not return. That's apart from the bogus extra charge to my bill. As for the restaurant itself. It was dingy, run down and not clean. The menu I was handed to look over was filthy and sticky. I used hand sanitizer after touching it. So gross. Very disappointing experience. I am in Lansing frequently for work and will never return to Bangkok House. If you are in the area looking for Thai food, there are two other restaurants within walking distance, I'd try one of those first if I were you.

End of May will be your last opportunity for an unknown time. We splurged since it might the last time. We stared with the appetizer sampler and it was all delicious. All of it was fresh and delicious. Crispy crab rangoons, moist chicken satay, fresh spring rolls, egg rolls with chicken and some meat rangoon. All complemented with three different sauces with one being a sweet peanut butter sauce. Yum! The Red Pad Thai is amazing as usual. The fresh topping with the flavors from the noodles and sauce go so well together. The peanut curry with chicken were flavored with just the right amount of peanut flavor and spice! I substituted the white rice with their fried rice for an additional $3, but it was sooo worth it! Normally it was only an additional $2 but eggs, enough said. The service was pleasant as usual and never did we need anything. The place hasn't changed much over the last 10 years but you don't have to when your food speaks for itself. The place was good for one to a large group and is always clean Go give it a try before they are possibly gone forever.

If you've never had Thai food before, they can make recommendations based on what you like. Just ask. Thai food is generally spicy. If you generally stick with medium spice when it comes to Chinese or Mexican food, you'll want to try mild spice when it comes to Thai. We will definitely be back!
