They changed the sauce, and I'm still undecided if I like it. It was far less salty then the last time we ordered. It's a touch above mid.

The Tangy Crab was a home run. We were there for the crab legs and that's exactly what we got. The bar had a bottle of prosecco that wasn't on the menu. Getting to have bubbles with our crab legs just topped off the visit. Saraphina was our server. She's very soft spoken but an absolute gem. It's an hour drive from my house but I will definitely be back when I'm the area.

At first I thought the Seafood Boil were run by Vietnamese, only to realize the restaurant was operated by Chinese cooks. Kid server recommended the Blue Punch and I ordered another Margarita Lime since it was Happy Hour on a Monday. I started off with a Philly Eggrolls...pretty mid...exactly what you'd expect out of a Sysco Catalog because c'Mon who in their right mind will hand roll a Philly Egg Roll...let alone trays upon trays everyday in the back kitchen. It was salty, and over powdered by wannabephillycheescakeness. Next the Raw Oysters...these were the highlight of the night...I know they may have been frozen..but in all honesty it's been 3 hours since I swallowed 6 oysters and I'm still alive. Probably the cocktails aided in killing any excess bacteria.. And onto the main entree, I went with their signature boil and just want to go on the record. The shrimps will taste better with head on. The crab legs were good. The thing I didn't feel was up to my expectations was their house sauce that they boil everything together in. It lacked a punch, it lacked flavor. There was an overall lack of Garlic, Lemon Zest, Lemon Pepper, White Pepper and Brown Pepper, and there was a lack of MSG, and also lack of cayenne peppers and ghost pepper powders. And because of this, I'm giving the Boil a grade of C. Service was A+ Cocktails were B+ Oysters were A Appetizers were C Boil was C So the average was 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5. I forgot about the lobster bisque...I know it's not real lobster, they usually put langastinio crawfish in there...but the soup was too Salty.

Here are all the things that went right: - we were immediately greeted by the bartender Jackson and presented menus and water and told about the featured cocktails -as we were deciding what to drink, I noticed a pretty impressive coctktail list and a list of some very good, rich red wines -the Angel's Envy Bourbon Berry Smash was delicious..spoken by someone who normally doesn't like bourbon but wanted to try an Angels Envy bourbon drink that was not too sweet. I chose the raspberry rosemary syrup as the berry of choice. My boyfriend had a well made gin and soda. -nice to see there were appetizer and entree specials. Makes you want to come back to see what will be on the specials list each week in addition to a nice well-rounded menu -Jackson helped us select among multiple good sounding entrees. As a pescatarian I wanted a seafood dish and decided on the suggested seafood risotto. My date was between a couple of fish dishes but after a discussion with the bartender and a further description he decided on the Maui Mahi with coconut risotto. We chose to split a salad rather than have an appetizer. -the meal--the salad came out on two plates so we did not need to divide the spring mixed berry and goat cheese salad. It was delicious and fresh and definitely enough for two side salads. We were also provided some warm crusty bread with olive oil and balsamic. Our entrees were of good portion size, visually appealing and HOT---not just warm---which I greatly appreciated and talked about after we left. The risotto was prepared perfectly by someone who clearly knows how to make a proper risotto--it was not gluey and set-up, but perfectly tender and creamy. The seafood was delicious. The scallops were seared nicely and not overly salty (something many restaurants don't understand is that you typically don't have to salt shellfish as it is salty/briny on its own). My boyfriend's mahi was sizable portion on top of an ever so slightly sweet and spicy coconut risotto. His was fantastic as well. We also enjoyed the sautéed zucchini that came with both..also nice and hot! -we had a delicious bottle of wine with dinner. After we paid for dinner and left with our remaining wine, we promptly came back in because of the heavy downpour of rain. We sat back down and finished our wine. The things that could be ever so slightly improved: -the lighting in the dining area is fitting of the decor and vibe of a nicer restaurant but the lighting at the bar is just too bright. Could maybe benefit from dimming them and possibly adding a few candals oe the small table/rechargeable lamps along the bar as it seemed wide enough. -the shrimp on the risotto should be two larger shrimp (8-10 size ) rather than the very small shrimp that don't seem to fit the vibe of the dish -there were only two options for dessert...maybe another one or two would be great -a little birdie told us that the restaurant will be having a happy hour menu soon (and a second location). We would LOVE for you to add some truffle fries with some sort of aioli...we can envision ourselves stopping in for those and some wine...often! Great addition to the limited higher end restaurants in the area. We look forward to many more meals there.

I was excited to hear that my family decided to meet up there for a post-Thanksgiving/birthday celebration for my niece the day after Thanksgiving. My brother arranged their private room for our group of 13 and it was a great experience. It took a bit for them to make sure the room was ready, but it was so cozy and pretty. The "happy birthday" menus are a nice touch. We were also able to bring in our own cake/cupcakes. We ordered some appetizers for the table - calamari and spinach artichoke dip. They were both good but the spinach artichoke dip was my favorite. The calamari was cooked nicely but a little bland. The dipping sauces were nice and a good variety. For my entree, I went with the Market Catch - king ora salmon. You can choose from several different options and select your preferred cooking method. I went with broiled and asked for it medium rare. Our main meals all came out at staggered times, but it wasn't too bad. I really liked the mashed potatoes that came with my plate. The fish was a little under seasoned, but cooked pretty close to medium rare. The portion size was great for me. Others had the fish and chips, shrimp and crab tortellini, seared scallops and risotto, etc. The shrimp and crab tortellini looked especially delicious! I didn't hear any complaints about the meals. I did have a bite of the clam chowder and found the clam I had to be pretty chewy and tough. Our server was really great the entire time, with refills constantly being poured and managing everyone's orders well. I would recommend this spot for a special occasion in their private room.

I saw through my DoorDash subsriction that they now have expanded delivery so placed an order for the Combo A (snow crab, shrinp, sausage) and the fried calamari. The calamari came with a sweet dipping sauce like you'd get with crab rangoon at an asian restaurant. Not impressed, but fortunately had some aioli handy. Much prefer the tempura calamari by Sushi Ya or Sansu, or Ruckus Ramen or Bravo. The Combo had the King Crab seasoning which was very good. But the crab legs was a total disappointment, offering maybe 2 oz of crab out of what was supposed to be a half pound. Skinny legs with no meat in them. Also seemed to be short on the half pound of shrimp. These looked to be about the 16/20 size which means there should have been 8 shrimp in the order. I counted 5. Finally there was way too much sausage relative to all the other stuff. I'd like to give these guys a shot so I'll probably order again but not repeat this order. One idea is to order a small boiled order with the seasoning, but get the crab legs at Meijer! Btw, you'll need to have seafood tools to get all the crab meat out (scissors, pliers, crab/lobster picks) . Very messy too! One thing I'd like to see from these guys is a raw oyster bar!

Same for the snow crab. When you break the crab legs the meat is stuck to the shell instead of sliding out of the shell. For the price they charge they should not reheat previously steamed seafood.

The restaurant side is super cute and decorated with a sea glam theme. Everyone was kind, helpful and welcoming! I placed my order upon arriving and it was made fresh and ready in about 15minutes. I decided on the fish and chips and added two pieces of shrimp. The meal came with tartar and cocktail sauces and cole slaw. The crisp on the fish is unmatched in the area, each bite offering the perfect crispy coating and flakey fish ratio! The fresh fish pairs nicely with a touch of lemon juice but if you want to send your tastebuds into a tailspin, consider adding a dollop of their tartar sauce...delicious! While the fish was the star of the show, the fries were adequately seasoned and crispy as well. The shrimp were nicely sized and if you enjoy battered shrimp, I wouldn't skip trying these morsels of sweet sea meat! The coleslaw is a good balance of zing and sweet and not heavily creamy based which was a refreshing change. My point..."Go Get Golden", you won't regret it!

Fish slices with preserved vegetable soup broth: Soup broth was rich with savory and sour taste of vegetables.
