I'm a new customer. I just was introduced to this restaurant. The first time no complaints. The last 2 times I'm just gonna say that the meat to rice ratio is out of order. I ordered the garlic chicken and I might as well call it garlic rice. At least get a scale so you can measure the meat out evenly. I was very disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Probably one of the better thai places in the area but I have definitely had better. I had the pad kee mao and was a bit disappointed. I felt that there wasn't enough sauce (I could barely taste it and there was none at the bottom of the container) and nowhere near enough vegetables. I had maybe 4 pieces of carrot in the whole dish and maybe 6-7 broccoli and some onion that was it. I'm used to most drunken noodles being full of vegetables (carrots, onion, corn, broccoli, green beans, etc.). Other than that it was quite good. Meh. First, do not let photos here fool you, we were disappointed to find this is solely carry out. I believe the existing photos are of the prior location(?) Tom Kah soup was lovely albeit pricy for the serving size. The Pad Kee Mao was plenty spicy but truly no flavor otherwise. Likewise the Panang Kai was spicy, but next to no other flavors...except sweet. I was also disappointed that there were not any other curries on the menu. Quick quality lunch meals. The price can't be beat for these quality meals. You get your dish, rice, those amazing egg rolls and a drink. Yes do try. I can agree with other patrons that the seasoning is lacking but the demo is not that ethnic and likely prefers blander dishes. It's not bland it's just not spicy. I enjoy it and feel it's well worth my money. I leave full but often order more of the rolls out of gluttony. They are fried crispy and the veggies are still full of spice and juicy. The sweet sauce is the right fit for it. The veggies in your dish, along with bamboo shoots will always be crunchy but hot, not limp or overcooked. The sauces always coat everything and are good to the last drop with the last piece of rice. The rice is often to the side but the meat, veggies and sauce are blended. Noodles will be well coated as well. I wouldn't say this is the best Thai but it has little competition in this area and I prefer it over much of the American fare around. I enjoy the plentiful meat in my dishes that are seasoned and throughout my meal not just a small pile on the side. I like my meat throughout this dish as it absorbs the flavor of the sauce better. The menu goes beyond the lunches and provides many options for the picky or allergic eater. My critiques are the limited hours and payment options. This is an ideal late night spot but it's not open late. Also they only take cash and while I know to bring it, it's not always convenient. read more

Love Thai food! I'm not from Lansing so whenever I'm there I try something different. I searched Thai food and this was in the general direction I had to go back towards home. Ordered over the phone and when I got there to pick it up there was a small line outside. I got in line and the guy in front of me acknowledged me so I responded with this place must be good if there's a line. He was like oh!, you've never been here before? He took me to the window and said you have got to try this and this and you have to order it this way. Well I had already ordered but since q regular had made thus suggestion I had to roll with it. When I got in and paid for my first meal I ordered a second the way the gentleman in front of me suggested. I live approximately 150 miles away.... so when I got in the truck I took a bite of what I had originally ordered and was more than pleased (Pad Thai, medium spice, chicken) then I opened and tried the suggested meal. I took one bite and closed the box and put it in the back seat so that I wouldn't be tempted to devour it. (Garlic chicken, double meat). Got it home and handed it to the wife where she decided she wasn't going to share! I look forward to ordering the second dish that was suggested the next time I get down there. read more

I have had Thai food all over this area but I think this place is the best. Cheap, incredibly fresh, and really tasty. My belly is happy and my mouth is burning with delightful pain! And I am no masochist! Had the pad kra pao (SPICY!) and the pa nang kai and both were awesome. Definitely worth the wait and tight hours. Do yourself a favor and come! Just be sure you bring cash as that is all they accept. read more

Overall: 3 This place actually deserves a 3.5, but we just couldn't justify giving it a 4. In Lansing, finding authentic ethnic food is challenging, and this place is probably one of the more reasonable Thai options. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a hole-in-the-wall in Bangkok (in the best possible way - cheery blue walls, authentic décor), but the food just didn't quite hit the mark. Food: 3 Food missing some bright sweet and sour notes, but otherwise reasonably enjoyable and fresh. Ordered the Thai steak (#5) and Yum Nua (#15). Both were a little on the small side, but were a good value considering they were mostly beef. The Yum Nua (#15) was better, and tasted like larb with sliced versus ground meat. Ambiance: 3 Atmosphere is very casual but cheery and clean. Think bright blue walls, carved wooden elephants, gold accents, and a picture of the king. Service: 5 Very friendly staff and quick service. They have pictures of all menu items. Value: 3.5 The dishes are pretty no frills, but it's so inexpensive that it's hard to hold this against them. read more

Stopped in for lunch not too long ago and ordered the Pad Pa lunch. Amazing value and the food was extremely fresh, not overdone or greasy like some thai places can be. The wait was around 30 minutes without anyone ahead of us, so if you're in a hurry it's best to call your order in ahead of time. The space is simplistic and the food comes out in take out boxes (no waiters etc.). You walk in and order right at the window and they only accept cash. I have been going here for quality Thai fare since 2010, and I've always been happy with the food. I love their massaman curry (#22 on their menu). The primary downside to this place is that their hours are somewhat inconvenient (they close at 7pm and aren't open on the weekend). It's also a cash only establishment.
