Grateful for this shop!! Very clean, respectful gentleman, SF teams theme, spacious, easy to access and parking. Moving to Pittsburg meant getting a new barber for my Son. Which isn't a walk in the park for him. So we decided to Yelp some local places. I couldn't find one so I was recommended by my friend to check out her friends barber shop local to our home. (7 mins away!) I called around lunch to schedule a hair cut for my Son who is starting 7th grade this week. I was greeted by a gentleman who asked day & approximately time for a cut, after I said I needed the cut for today, he responded with they usually don't do same day appointments. I won't lie my heart skipped a beat, dreadfully because I didn't want to disappoint my Son. However instantly he said "I can book you today @ 7pm." I booked my Son's appointment with Tall Lou. He was great, very skilled, and good timing. Walking out my Son instantly said "he is very good I like him, I can trust him with my hair! We will def come back" Made my evening pleasing my Son. Don't go here unless you wanna be jerked around. called the day before and set an appointment for 9 am. I was there on time and nobody was ever there until about 10 and the one barber that shows up has another appointment at 10 I just ended up going somewhere else. I used to bring my son to this shop before the pandemic. The environment was great as the customer service. Today I came back apparently ownership changed and it was a lonely shop were my son was the only one. I'm really upset that my son's barber AJ was vaping as he was doing the cut and releasing the smoke in front of my son. So unprofessional and careless of his behavior. He did a bad haircut and on top of that did not comb his hair after. Is almost like he is woeking from a backpack. I hope the tools used on my son were at least sanitized properly. The place is filthy it seems that it has not been cleaned for days. Is so unfortunate that the new owner did not keep up to what the KINCHO'S name use to be with previous owners. The sad part is Luis being one of the barbers with the previous owners should at least try to do something for the place. I can tell they are hungry for clientele but if they don't make proper changes and be more professional the business will not pick up. I will not be coming back and I just hope the tools used with my son have been properly sanitized properly as it should with this pandemic. read more

I'm totally new in Pittsburg and I was pretty nervous looking for a new barber to cut my little brothers hair. It's Monday and I was searching all over Yelp for a good barbershop -- nobody picked up their phones (either busy or voicemail) and then I called this place and a gentleman told me to come in and that there was no need to make an appointment because all of the barbers were open. I went there 20 minutes later and it was really nice inside. I was greeted instantly by everyone and they had my Brother in a chair immediately. Again, I was really nervous and skeptical because we were in a different city and I can't trust anyone with his hair. Eddie suggested a few things on how he should cut his hair & I agreed. He started on his hair and I was so nervous, I was literally staring at him the WHOLE time he was cutting his hair because the previous barber cut him all over his forehead and put patches in his hair, he was in so much pain -- he was crying but in the end, he was all done & I must say that Eddie did the best ever on his Mohawk! We've been to 3 different men, but Eddie did the best out of all. My little brother is really picky with his barbers and he said that he didn't feel any pain at all. I am so upset about this barber shop because I like them . I know that they are the best in town. But personally I don't like that way how they handle their business. if you want to spent a whole day to get your hair cut, so use them. if you show up without an appointment they won't ask you anything... poor customer service. My understanding was that we didn't need an appointment. not all people know their personal numbers or even their business number. So if you show up without appointment you are SCREW. they have poor organization. In My third time there, I left that place so disappointed. i don't really care if they are expensive or even wait for certain amount of time, but when you sit there for two and half hours, and no one ask you s***" so then you start thinking that this is not even worth it. Also, they don't accept credit cards. What business doesn't do this in 2016? I wish I can say nothing but good things about them. but this time isn't the time. peace. read more

kincho takes care of me with no appointment...quiet place, cleans you up and has you looking proper for whatever you need.... for 20 bucks you can pretty much get whatever haircut you want.... Ive gotten 3 haircuts there and as long as you are specific with what you want you will be fine.... men get cut at a barber shop.....do it... razor edge and hot towel would be the only thing missing....ima ask about that next time.... read more

Maybe it's because the fight is tonight but it's packed. I called ahead of time and was told twenty minutes wait, so I went ahead and took my three year old in. Twenty minutes my ass!! First time coming into Kincho's my barber was Vick and let me say he's a HIGHLY talented young barber!!!! I asked for a bald taper fade and my beard lined up and all were PERFECTLY done. I honestly don't think I had any flaws in my haircut, it's great to see a barber be so precise and really care about the way he cuts! I recommend this barbershop and the barber Vick you won't be disappointed!! When I walked in I felt uncomfortable because the barbers there were talking about sports and marijuana with the clients. I can't relate. My barber could of trimmed my beard a little better. $35.00 plus tip is ridiculous for a fade and taper and beard trim. I sat in the chair and couldn't help but feel like I didn't fit in because the clientele is different and ghetto. The barbers need to be able to connect with their clients and not talk about cannabis clubs. The whole time I was sitting there all I heard was conversations about marijuana and sports FYI not everybody likes sports or marijuana people. My haircut was not up to par and I was not happy with my experience there I do not recommend this place to anybody save your money because $35.00 for a simple head trim and beard trim and taper is ridiculous. Be more professional and don't make the new clientele feel uncomfortable that's bad for business! That's all! read more
