This clinic is always so welcoming and fast. I'd recommend coming here for any STI testing and treatment, especially amongst LGBT.

There is a ballad waiting to be written - something along the lines of Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's…read moreRestaurant Massacree" perhaps - about this woman who is strong, obstinate and disturbingly determined. The ballad should also be about the place that heroically enabled her stubbornness and resolve. Here's the raw data, and wildly, every bit of it is true. I pieced it together after speaking with about a dozen people. 10 weeks after having undergone two heart procedures, my nearly deaf 93-year-old mom sets out on her own for an adventure. Her goal? The scrumptious lox bagel at Mary's Cafe. She missteps exiting the car and... kaboom! She falls and breaks her hip. She is literally across the street from St. David's Medical Center. A kind man rushes to her aid. Together, at her command, they get her BACK IN THE CAR. SHE DRIVES HERSELF ACROSS TOWN AND GOES HOME. There, she realizes that she can't get out of the car. She is half in-half out. After ten minutes, an innocent passerby in our quiet residential neighborhood hears her bleating plea and - again - at her command, helps get her back in the car, whereupon mom DRIVES HERSELF ACROSS TOWN AND BACK TO ST DAVID'S. It took three nurses and the manager of concierge services to extract her from her old beater Honda - the one with manual door locks - and it ended up in valet parking alongside the Porsches and a Ferrari. Mom would go on to have a nine inch nail inserted in her hip and spend two weeks at St. David's, one week in the Medical Center and one week in St. David's Rehabilitatiom Hospital. Here she was treated with dignity and compassion by every single person we encountered. And there were tons of them. Every effort was made to make her feel comfortable. Cozy even. The staff made her laugh. Encouraged her. Listened carefully to every word she said. Her in-house doctors watched over so thoughtfully. The physical and occupational therapists helped her to understand that she *could* meet her goal of regaining her independence. Yes, there were times when a nurse promised to bring her something and then forgot, but really, things couldn't have gone better. The food? Not too shabby, and if you are a visitor, there are alternating pop up caterers for things like sushi, Indian and Mexican food, every week day. Parking? Free if you're over 65. Just scan your driver's license instead of your parking stub. And my mom's old beater Honda rubbing shoulders with the glamor cars in Valet? I drove it out myself... free of charge.

When we got there, checked, escorted to radiology, i was informed they do not do that procedure at that location! I had to reschedule 3 weeks later at the south location. This time I prepped ($167 sutabs) the night before. We are driving there the morning of the procedure when they call me to tell me they ran out of barium yhf day before and will need to reschedule! Absolutely incompetence! Do not recommend them!!

I became his patient during an ER visit that turned into a two-week hospital stay, and have returned to the Cardio Texas practice for followup visits going on three years now. In the hospital he was a real presence with whom I had regular contact, not just the behind-the-scenes doctor who shows up after much suspense to dryly dispense bits of test results and prognosis. He personally supervised some of my in-hospital testing, something I don't think I've ever experienced in my years of helping my parents navigate their hospital stays. I would frequently hear his voice down the hall and the nurses would joke about his intensity, always with fondness and respect. On visits as a patient at Cardio Texas, I again hear his voice echoing up and down the halls as I wait for my turn in my exam room. The man never seems to slow down. His NP assistant Beth and nurse Lori have been faultless from the beginning. I've never had any significant problems with scheduling or any other aspect of my experience as a patient. I believe Dr. Chafizadeh is one of the principal doctor/partners in the Cardio Texas practice. From what I've experienced, I would presume excellence from any of the doctors associated with Cardio Texas. If this review seems effusive, let me assure you, every word of it comes... wait for it... from the heart *rimshot* - Cheers!

I'm a 100% disabled Veteran with cardiac issues (very high burden of PVCs). I reached out to Dr…read more Burkhardt for a second opinion and understood that this consultation would be at my expense. I've had two telephone calls with Dr. Burkhardt. The first was a consultation (second opinion) which took place on 12.27.24, was billed $157.20 which was paid in full on 01.10.25. The second call was on 01.24.25 and lasted less than 1 minute - yes, less than 1 minute - as shown on my telephone records. I also received a bill of $157.20 for this call. I disputed this charge as being excessive and had a back-and-forth with the clinic, and their third-party billing office, for finally on 03.10.25 I was told by the billing office that the new amount due was $21.60 which I paid over the phone. However, I have continued to receive bills for $157.20 and have had numerous calls with the third-party billing company, as well as the practice, and there has been no resolution. The practice manager, Rachell Thomas, has not returned any of my voicemail messages regarding this matter. No one can explain why I was told the total was $21.60 nor how the $21.60 was applied since the remaining balance is still "$157.20 - the original amount. No one can explain how the amount due appeared as '0-30 days' one month and the very next month it appeared as '120+ days) and was turned over to a collection agency! Fortunately, the third-party billing office has been trying to help and recall the bill from the collection agency and put a 'hold' status on it until I can get resolved. The billing company needs authorization from the clinic manager to adjust the amount due; however, the clinic manager is completely non-responsive to my calls or messages from the billing company. Today, I left yet another message for Rachelle Thomas, clinic manager and, based on past experience, do not anticipate a return call. In researching, I have discovered many patients who have had issues with billing - including those with insurance who were told by the clinic that insurance would cover the charges only to discover later that it was not covered and the patient is 'on the hook' for the charges. While the care/treatment provided by Dr. Burkhardt may be 'top-notch', please be aware that you may have continued cardiac issues from dealing with the billing issues and lack of response.
