Just a great place to walk or bring your chair and a book to read. The trails are beautifully, paved and marked enabling you to get a great workout if that's what you choose to do. If not, it's just nice to walk and see what's going on in the park. Me as a bird lover love this place because I've captured at least 40 different species of birds in the park at various times. What's not to love? The grounds are well kept and there is always ample parking. The trail is a really nice loop with plenty of trash cans and benches along the way. Perfect for a stroll with your kiddo or pup! The park is really nice as well. Plenty of space for kids of all ages. I took my 7 month old in a stroller to see all of the farm animals, took a lap around the walking trail, and ended at the infant swings at the park. A perfect afternoon! This place is great! $5 per car and lots to see and do. Parking -some walking but tolerable from their lots. Ages: good for 1 and above. Self guided tour, 2 playgrounds (next to each other) and lots of animals to see (sheep, cows, pig, goat, bird, rabbits) as well and decently up close. Bathrooms are open but limited to the parking grounds. Overall very much a recommend for affordable family fun. read more

In looking for a new farm/playground, I decided to make the hike towards Annapolis with my son to check out Kinder Farm Park. A few notes: indoor buildings, with the exception of bathrooms, are closed. Another observation from the day I was there: varying degrees of mask wearing: from none to under the nose to appropriately placed over mouth and nose. A picnic lunch is a great idea as there are pavilions and tables all over. The playground is farm themed and cute. There are musical elements as well. Lots of different options for slides and lots of ropes to climb on. Everything seems very new! As for the farm, we saw: sheep,goats, horses, cows, chickens, ducks, alpaca, rabbits, pigs, and quails. There's also a popular disc golf course here and lots of hiking. Parking is plentiful. There's normally a fee to enter but because it was Maryland Day the fee was waived. A whole day could be spent here so we will be back when we have the time to make a whole day of it again. read more

Whoa nelly! A GREAT playground ... stuff I've never seen! Huge tube xylophones, wooden xylophone, spider webs to climb on and slides of all heights. Fun for young ones but the sweet spot is 2 1/2 - 7 ... but all kids will love it . TIP: a cool place for young teens in less popular times. Looking forward to trying the trails with the dog and grand-'kinder'. The animal farm is way welcoming and an ez stroll from the playground ... parking can be a challenge on popular weekends but a nice place to walk around. TIP: if you are an old geezer you can purchase a lifetime pass for $40 (?). A good deal for anyone 'nearby' with the responsibility for entertaining kids without depending on screen-time. read more

What a great park! This is perfect for littles and older kids. It has a huge playground, farm animals, tractors to see, walking trails, outside sport facilities, hayrides sometimes, and holiday events. We love taking the kids here and it's worth it even for an hour! You do need to pay a $6 fee per car, but can get an annual pass that allows free entry to other Anne arundel parks as well. read more

Kinder Farm Park is a great place for the kiddos! The park has excellent playground equipment and cool musical instruments for the kids to play with. There were lots of animals to see - cows, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, turkeys, and chickens. Even though we stuck to the animals and playing, there were other options such as a disc golf and a trail! It is 6 dollars per car to go into the park or 30 dollars per year for unlimited entries. Took my daughter here for her 2nd birthday, and she loved it. So many things for her to do. We walked a bit, saw animals, watched the blacksmiths work, went down and hung out by the little meadow, and the playground! The playground is awesome. Three levels of equipment connected by stairs and slides. The main area of the playground even has a canopy to keep the sun out. I think we paid 6 bucks to get in but thats nothing once you get in. And they do offer a pass for the year. The grounds are very well kept, and the staff that you come across are all very professional and friendly. I would recommend this park to anyone with children. I'm going back some time soon for frisby golf...can't wait! read more

The playground equipment is phenomenal and really the coolest part of the visit. The kids were excited to see the animals. There were goats, chickens, pigs, and some sheep. Visited this park multiple times with my daughter. She's always had a good time and it's never disappointed. Our most recent visit was for their fall festival event. Whoa! The place was packed to the gills with people, cars, vendors, games, & other fun activities. My daughter and her friend got to visit the animals & visit the playground. There was so many parents & kids at the playground it was alarming to keep an eye on two girls running in different directions. We didn't stay in that area long. The event was really fun and we had no complaints. The animals was a highlight for the girls. They sold little cups filled with chicken feed for $.50 and it was fun to interact with the turkeys and chickens. They also go to visit with a cow which mooed while they were standing there. They it! We really like visiting this farm will definitely plan to visit again. read more

This park is so beautiful and very well kept. I attended a child's birthday party here so, we were able to be in the shaded area under the pavilion. Even the pavilion was very clean after all the bad weather we have been having. I also noticed plenty of trash cans and recycle bins around the park as well. I was hesitant about going to the bathroom because, well you know public park bathrooms are super gross and disgusting but this one wasn't bad at all. I would definitely revisit this park again and maybe bring my dog. Bring cash because there is a $6 entry fee and they also have a drink vending machine right outside the bathrooms. read more

This park is wonderful. We took our leashed dog with us( bring poo bags and water) even a picnic! The grounds are beautiful "fresh air" plenty of room for kids to run- frisbee golf- big playground and barnyard animals. We met a young man that was nine and a 4-H volunteer. He was carrying a beautiful hen named Starfire that he helped raise from a chick. He was very proud that he had earned a harness for her! What A smart informative polite kid!!! Nice park... (if I remember correctly, there is a fee but mil get in for free) There is a shed where there is a blacksmith... and he will tell the kids what he is doing... show him some work... and even allow the kids to watch him work. He makes all his tools.... just as a blacksmith is suppose to. There are some barnyard animals. Awesome. read more

I went today and while at the Visitor Center I was not greeted by the woman at the front desk. She did however, greet 2 men who came in within 1-2 minutes of me, and since the place is so small it was definitely noticeable. When I asked her about it, she told me that I was preoccupied which is why she didn't speak to me. Who knew that trying to get a stroller through the front door right in front of her was preoccupation and did not warrant the same treatment she gave to others? To think I got a half smile and she put her head down, but the other two people got a hello how are you, etc. It was very disappointing to have poor customer service like that a family-oriented place. The farm and park itself had a few spots to view animals and a playground for kids. All of it could use a little bit updating but it was still a nice spot with lots of green grass around those areas. Should I decide to go back I just won't visit the visitor center again. read more

Baby goats, vintage tractors, mooing cows, and all kinds of barnyard fun! My 13 month old loves feeding the little farm animals and running around in the wide open green spaces. I just adore seeing her explore! Kinder Farm is the perfect place to let your little kiddos run amok. They will never get sick of the animals and the scenery. One improvement I would love to see is a revamp of the playground. The swings area gets very muddy when it rains, and it just takes away from all the fun that the kids should be having. That, and who really wants their kid to be unnecessarily muddy after already smelling like barnyard animals, right? It's worth spending 2-3 hrs exploring. This is definitely our go-to park in the Severna Park/Annapolis area! read more

For a public park it is phenominal. I like the fact that you have to pay to get in because it keeps out the bad crowd and also you're going to be pretty sure that each child has an adult with them, unlike free parks where kids can walk from home to the park or just hang there after school causing trouble. The park is always clean and well kept. The swings could be repositioned to not be at the lowest part, water forms under the swings and we all remember how much that sucked when we were little. They also separate the larger kid play sets from the toddler sized play sets which is great for me because I have younger kids, and I don't enjoy watching them be trampled by school aged kids. This is not just a playground, it's a 4H sponsored farm as well. The local 4H takes care of goats, pigs, horses, chickens and sheep. They post on white boards when the animals give birth and it's really neat. Admission is like 6 or 7 dollars but it's per vehicle, not person. They even give you a reciept so if you leave, you can return for free. read more

There's a $6 fee to enter which is good since not just anyone can wander in. There were a few staff that were near the more open goat area, I asked one younger girl a question and she wasn't terribly friendly or anything answering. I love the outdoors and have finally found a decent park in the area. You have to pay $6 to enter or have a pass, not a big deal. It's a well kept park. Good: -Great for dog owners: now this place is not a dog park by any stretch. However, it's a great place to get your walking or running in with Fido. They have dog stations where you can tie up your dog in the event you have to use the bathroom or can't hold the leash for whatever reason. Plenty of dog bags and trash cans around so don't be the jerk that leaves dog crap! They also have water fountains with dog bowls so your pup can get a drink too. BONUS: They give dog treats at the gate if your bringing you dog. - Playground: For those who have little ones they have an awesome playground. All the kids seemed to be having a blast. I'm not going to lie I wanted to hit the swing set, slide, and monkey bars; but I resisted. LOL -Animals: There are so many animals here. From the dog owners, horse owners and wildlife (I.e deers, birds, etc..) Bad: The trails confused me a bit. I found myself turning around a few times. I haven't grasped the concept of the 3 mile trail yet. I didn't want to leave the park but, it seems like in order to get the full 3 miles you have to exit the park. read more

This is our favorite park in the area. I got the season pass for $20 which gives you access to Kinder Farm, Fort Smallwood, Quiet Waters, and Downs. Totally worth it because we go here at least once a week. There are always plenty of kids my sons age to play with and the parents generally keep a really good eye on their kids. The park itself is well maintained, has 3 levels with some really cool tube slides, and even has a sun shade over the middle level to protect kids from the sun. Then there is the farm and the animals which is always my sons favorite. They have goats, a mama pig and her babies (who are all grown now probably), sheep, cows, ducks, chicken, and turkeys. Awesome way to spend the day we would spend about 30min-1hr playing and then another hour walking around seeing the animals. There is plenty of room to picnic, lots of parking, and it is always very very clean. read more
