I have been coming to this location with my children since it opened for urgent care, and have now made them my kids' Primary Care Providers. I love that they all know us when we walk in, are welcoming, and we do not have to wait long to be called and cared for. I feel like we are there every other week, but my kids, even when they are not feeling well, love going here. My 3 year old Grandson gets excited every time we pass the building and screams "There's my Doctors! There's my Doctors! Can we go there?" There was one time that I walked in with my Grandson, and right after I checked in, without warning he vomited all over me. Next thing I knew the Doctor, Medical Assistants, and even the Receptionist all ran over to help. You could tell they cared! I'm thankful for Kinder Mender and their services throughout the years. They have always listened to my concerns, are very thorough and patient, are always available to answer my questions, and they allow me to be a part of the care that my kids receive. I have always felt comfortable with the information that I was given when I leave, and know that my kids were competently taken care of. It always amazes me when I walk in with a sick child, and by the time that we leave they seem to be miraculously healed and full of energy. My 3 year old was bit by a bug a day prior and when she got home from daycare, it was like she had a 3rd knee. Swollen, red, and warm to the touch. Went to kinder mender in glen burnie. We got there at it was packed, I looked online and it said about an hour wait. Contemplated going somewhere else but my daughter was having fun playing on the train and was being occupied plus the wait time for regular urgent care were about the same. We were called back for vitals within 20 minutes and then had a short wait before we saw the dr. Within a minute of being seen, the dr said it was a skin irritation due to an insect bite (celulitus), prescribed an ointment and some antibiotics and we were on our way to the pharmacy within about 40 minutes of being checked in. Would definitely recommend. We have been here a few times and the customer service has always been great! read more

Wow!! This place is amazing!!! Made my child feel very comfortable and at ease! He wanted to stay and play. Such a great experience, the staff is very friendly, the facility is very clean new and modern!!! Love love love this place! We were seen very quickly. This was the worst experience I have ever had in an urgent care facility. I took my daughter here because she injured her toe at karate class. It was bleeding pretty consistently so I decided she needed to be seen. When we arrive at kinder mender there wasn't a lot of people or a long wait to get into the room. However, it took the doctor about 20minutes to get to us. Ok not big deal. He's like its bleeding so we have to get the bleeding to stop. He wrap it up says I'll be back in a few minutes I say aren't you going to xray it to make sure it isn't broken. Well she can move it I don't think that's necessary. Well how will you get the bleeding to stop. I added pressure it should stop shortly. I will be back. 30 minutes later he's back. He says oh wow it's still bleeding let me wrap it again and see. I said if it's not broken what's the plan for treatment. I'm not sure I can't tell if she needs stitches or not. Let's get the bleeding to stop and I'll come back. This time he doesn't come back he sends a nurse/ front desk personnel to check. She's like it's still bleeding I still let the doctor know. No one is concerned that it's still bleeding. I inform them that i'm leaving and I take her to the emergency room. I have called kinder mender to speak to some one and I have emailed several times with no response from them. I was informed st the ER that her toe was indeed broken because they took x rays. The bone went through her toenail and that's why it was bleeding. She had to have surgery on her toe. Now I know kinder mender couldn't do surgery but one xray could have told them it was broken and it was a injury they could not fix and then send me to the ER but instead this doctor did nothing except look confused and tell me he could not get the bleeding to stop. Today was my first visit to KinderMender with my son. He was acutely vomiting with a fever. Everyone at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. We were seen fairly quickly. The doctor who cared for my son was professional and kind. They treated him with medications and we were discharged about 40 minutes later. So thankful to have such a wonderful facility close to home. read more

I really like this place. The decor is really nice and fun! Everything is so clean. The process to check in and be seen was so fast. Everyone here is pleasant and they seem to actually care about my child's health. Our pediatrician suggested that our son just had a bad cold and stomach virus all in one. Sure enough, he had a lung infection instead and the doctors here figured it out. After being so sick for too long, he was all better with the antibiotics they prescribed. Will definitely return. Let's hope it's not anytime soon! read more

No one ever really wants to go to an after hrs facility with a sick/hurt, child. Both of my kids have been here and I loved it. The staff was wonderfully attentive. Not busy at all, so no crowd to deal with. Its very close to the house and since our regular office couldn't get us in, it was a life saver for peace of mind, that my babys were ok. The looks of it are very inviting. I would take my kids back in a heartbeat. read more

Called ahead. They said they had a 15 minute wait. Got there with 2 people in front. They put us in a room. I came out after 30 minutes of not seeing a doctor. They said I was next. Their friend came in with her son for a physical. . They took her ahead of me without any regards for my 3 year old son who had a 102 fever. We ended up waiting 1. 15 to see the doctor. Doctor comes in and says. We're giving him motrin. Should have given it to him 1 hour ago. I told her I had asked for some as soon as we walked in. Don't bother coming to this 1. The 1 in Colombia is much better with frendlyer staff and better service over all. read more

So yesterday I go there thinking I can have my children seen for a well visit, once I got to the desk she asked me why was I here I tell her I wanted to have my girls seen for a well check she looks up first kid and says it's too early they were just there in Nov I'm like ok because I don't remember nothing I was thinking once I get home I can check my records, so she says let me check your other kids she like no they are due for a visit I'm like how is that when we all came they had appointments same exact day and time so she looks confused and says we don't take walk ins for well checks I'm like ok cool so I leave out I was just going to call to make an appointment after I checked my records at home anyway so I get a call on my way home from KinderMender saying hi you were just here wanting to make an appointment I'm like yes she like oh I made a mistake that was t this year that was 2016 the last time they were here they are all due for an appointment so the reason I gave two starts instead of 5 because you can not make a mistake your looking directly at a damn computer screen and you still told me the wrong information now I cannot trust you because I feel like if it's something real like medicine you will mess up probably issue the wrong medicine or whatever the case may be so I switched doctors today totally different office ... I do not need any mistakes because someone cannot pay attention should I have known the last time my kids had an appointment absolutely all my info was in my house So I blame myself for that part but hell Im standing in front of a person looking at a damn screen and you still give me wrong info so I'm not dealing with that. read more

The office is lovely & the staff was very nice. I only give 3 stars because the medical professional (phys asst?) was trying to convince me not to swab my son's throat for strep because she didn't see anything upon examination. My daughter had been there just a few days before & tested positive for strep. He had similar symptoms so I was pretty certain he had the same thing. Just want to advise parents to go with their gut & insist on additional testing to be sure their child doesn't have anything serious. I could have easily walked out of there just thinking my son was catching a cold as he's infecting everyone with strep. read more

Excellent patient/parent care. Very friendly and informative staff. Walked in without appt at noon on Sunday and was seen in 10 min, out the door in 20 including X-rays. I forgot to get a note for my child's school so I called and they emailed me a note quickly. Will definitely use them again if needed. read more

This place is a game changer! I've had to go twice now, in the evening when it's too late to get a sick appointment at my kids' pediatrician. Both visits everyone we encountered was friendly and professional, we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes and the visit with the doctor/pa itself was nice and quick. On our last visit my son was even able to get his first dose of his antibiotic right there in the office before leaving which I thought was wonderful. This place is great for when you need to be seen quickly and can't make it to the pediatrician. read more

This place is a hidden gem. After calling around to find the wait time to other urgent care facilities and the ER and finding out that everywhere had over an hour wait we came to this place and were in and out with in 20 mins. The staff was informative and even though the apt was quick they took the time to explain everything. I wish all doctors offices were like this place. read more

Fantastic place, so glad I found it. We came in after my 1.5 year old daughter fell on the playground, and everyone was so friendly and gentle with her. Even though she was a bit weepy, there were enough child-friendly distractions to keep her calm while she was examined and had her x-rays done. She loved the trains in the waiting area and the butterflies hanging above the x-ray machine. I would go back here in a heartbeat. Also, there was no wait and they took our insurance. I'm giving 3 stars not because of the doctors but because of the receptionist and their lack of customer service and professionalism , I called there last wk to try and change my appt the girl answers the phone "hello" no hello Kindermender nothing , I'm like " hello? Is this kinder mender ?" She's like yeah not yes but yeah , ok I would like to see if you have a specific date available to change my appointment, oh no we don't have that. Um did you check? Anyways I said thank you and hung up because the attitude and lack of help was pathetic. Seems like everytime I go here it gets worse and worse. My last appt the scheduled the next appointment, gave me a appointment card, but didn't put it in the system. I only called when I wanted to try and change it just to find out there was no appointment to begin with. Really so if I would of made it in on the date on my appointment card then I wouldn't of been seen? She tells me yes that's correct . Lol good thing that didn't happen because if I would of had to take off only to find out I can't be seen because of your mistake then they would of seen a side of me that isn't pretty . Other than the poor receptionist choices, the doctors here are great. We love dr hill she's amazing, love the hours here however hate the fact that how they use to give the medication right then and there is no changing due to some legal issues, it was so convenient to go straight home with your sick child and their medicine. read more

We had our 1st experience at Kinder Mender today with our 2 year old son. I'm always weary of a new place and lets face it after some of the trips to Right Time you never know what to expect. As soon as we walked into Kinder Mender we were welcomed and all my fears were put at ease. It's a very welcoming, clean, friendly and warm environment. My son was too sick to play on the train but he loved watching the train ride around on the ceiling. There's a coloring table and books and the walls are painted lovely. The staff was great. Very warm and helpful and it was awesome. The wait the wasn't long at all and the nurse practitioner that saw us was very nice. They gave our son his first does of medicine there so that we wouldn't have to wait till the script was filled to get the antibiotics rolling. We were very pleased!! And this is the only place we will use other then our Pediatricians office!! read more
