This is a really great and convenient liquor store; I used to swing by my way home from work for a bottle of wine and usually the staff were incredibly helpful. Lately, though, I've been treated with nothing but rudeness by one specific employee. I know I look young, but every single time I go in she laughs and makes snide comments about my age, what I'm buying, etc and treats me like a delinquent teenager with a fake. While I've had past good experiences at Kindred Spirits (and I do very much like their wine rating system), the past few visits have made it such that I no longer want to give them my business. read more

I went to kindred spirits which was once my favorite store, when it was blackrock. I've not been there in a pretty long time, and I picked up on the fact that they've changed a couple of things; from the staff to the way that things are done. Blackrock had ratings of the wines which I loved to look at because of the wine ratings, and based on the ratings I would determine what to buy. I went in expecting to read some wine ratings, to find that there were no more wine ratings. now they have descriptions of the wines with no ratings on them, I wasn't really fond of that. When I went up to the counter one staff member behind the register didn't even acknowledge me, she continued to be on her computer. Fortunately the rest of the staff were decent. I was greeted at the register and served as expected, which made my experience that much better. read more

Been here a few times in the past with my fiancé and was followed around while shopping even after expressing that I didn't need help. It made things very awkward and then presented my ID which then made the cashier laugh and smirk ??? My fiancé recently went in there to purchase wine as a gift. He knows nothing of wine and asked for help with choosing a nicer wine as a thank you for a close friend. For some reason the employee continued to point him towards a section with the cheapest wines even when my fiancé was asking about other wines specifically those from South Africa. After continuing to direct him to the discount wines several times my fiancé made light of the situation and kindly thanked them for being considerate with his money but he wasn't necessarily on a budget. The lady rolled her eyes and walked away. Considering all these positive reviews I would hate to think this was a case of profiling. read more

This is one of my favorite wine/liquor stores in the area. They are not huge and don't have rack after rack of every kind of wine out there, but what they do have covers every price range, is easy to pick from, and their staff is ALWAYS so nice and accomodating. Very convenient location too with easy parking. THey also gift wrap for you with a smile, no matter how busy they are. I always try to shop here and I know I will find whatever I need in any price range.. something pricey for a special gift, or something nice to have with dinner or casual get togethers that is moderately priced and a value. read more
