Switch to StarLink.....it works everywhere and is cheaper. Kinetic has the worst customer service. I've been their customer for 10 years and my WIFI charge (Nothing else) is now $147. I called and asked what they could do and they offered me $5. My neighbors pay half this amount. I canceled the account. As a 73 year old senior I find this price gouging outrageous. FOlks...Try StarLink. I have it now and its amazing!! No more Kinetic over priced buffering service. I suggest you find a different provider or rent a Starlink system and give it a try. read more

I really feel bad for giving a negativity review, the service and customer service weren't professional at all. I was not notified the rates had changed and payments were adding up each month and me not knowing, they kept increasing my payment. The worst experience I've ever had with customer service. If there was another reliable internet company, I would switch in a heartbeat. I don't get a bill and that's the reason I don't pay the BILL. It's ridiculous that I've paid for 1Gig speeds for two years now and have never gotten more than 600mbs. Now they keep raising my bill while sending me offers to upgrade to 2Gig speeds. It's like bro!!! Just give me what I'm paying for and we'll call it good. I don't want to pay for 2 to get the 1 I want. I wish that I could cancel them but there isn't a better option. Overall it's a horrible company with poor customer service, zero customer loyalty and disgruntled customer satisfaction. Service is non-existent!!!!! One of their poles rotted off at the bottom and crashed into our front yard six weeks ago. We reported it multiple times and they still have not come out to fix it. The pole is lying on the ground and the wire is sprawled across our driveway!!!! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Called on 7/29/24 to report an outage and was told it would be 10 days before a technician could come out. Seven days later, I received an email that my service ticket was AUTOMATICALLY canceled because there was a system wide outage in my area. The system wide outage did NOT affect me because my fiber optic cable was BROKEN from the poor installation job where they drilled holes in my foundation to attempt to secure the cable. Received a flyer in the mail advertising internet. At first glance it seemed like a good deal (for the first year) but upon reading the fine print, it's not as fast as the service I already have. Also flyer says they cannot guarantee speeds. The introductory price is for one year but that price "does not include taxes, fees and surcharges." Plus there is a monthly equipment fee. I called 833-619-1282 on 2/11/25 to get more information. I spoke with Pat & she has horrible customer service skills. Also she wanted all of my personal information including my social security number before she could give me any prices. I started to tell her I was not comfortable giving all my personal data just to get pricing info but she hung up on me before I could even finish my sentence. Not very professional. So now I will spend a little more time leaving this honest review. I had mentioned this flyer to friends & neighbors in the area & they are waiting to hear the results so I will spread the word. read more

I called and canceled services on August 31, 2020 and was told that I would be mailed an envelope to send the router back in. The representative also stated that I would be refunded or at the very least prorated since I would not be receiving services for the month of September at all. I had to call two additional times because I had not received the envelope and it was by then mid September and I had been told if I didnt return the router within 30 days of canceling, I would be charged $100. I finally received the envelope on September 18, 2020 and mailed the router back on September 21, 2020. Today is December 2, 2020 and after waiting months for my refund check, I call only to learn that they waited until September 18, 2020 to disconnect so that they would not have to refund me my money. The representative stated that it was noted in my file that I called to disconnect on August 31, 2020 but since they failed to actually disconnect until 18 days later, there was nothing she could do. Pretty *** way to treat people!!! I will NEVER use Windstream again and will discourage anyone and everyone looking for services to steer clear of Windstream. Not the way to do business!!!! If I could give a no star rating for this, I would!!!! Don't use Windstream!!!! Find a more reputable company!!! read more
