We both got swedish massages with medium pressure. The pressure was very light for both of us and it didn't feel like it truly relieved much tension. Neither of us felt very relaxed after the service. However, the biggest thing for me was the sheer amount of oil used. I left with my skin feeling wet and my hair became incredibly oily from all the oil on my shoulders and neck. I want to feel moisturized after a massage but I was literally soaked in oil and I spent the rest of our anniversary with my hair looking practically wet from all of the oil. I went to a nearby cafe and used their sink to wash the oil out of my hair and it was still so oily. I've taken a shower now and I am still oily!! My phone is covered in it too. Lastly, I also got the jet lag eye treatment and it was just a small eye sheet mask for $15. Needless to say, we don't plan to come back. Very sad it didn't work out better.

I could tell she had a ton of massage experience. Lauren really knows how to pinpoint each area with the right amount of pressure. I felt that she put genuine care into the session. The rest of the place isn't much to see. There was one loud group of guys making noise/laughing loudly for a while down the steps from the lounges. Not sure if they were employees of the hotel or guests but it stopped after 10 minutes or so. With tight quarters you can't do much about that. The men's locker room was meh, clean, but small and kind of rank smelling like a local YMCA or something. Think that's due to it being so small and having a steam room, there's not great ventilation. Also thought it wasn't good that the urinals were so close to the sinks. Shower pressure not great. Parking is a bit tricky being downtown Sausalito. They give you a free parking pass if you go out and get it. Wish they'd email it to you ahead of time to be more convenient. Overall, it's ok and I may return under the right circumstances but I do prefer a more spacious type of spa with more amenities.

The first time I had been neglecting my skin and healing h in general after suffering two back to back tragedies. All that crying and wallowing in self pity had left my skin irritated and dry. I forgot the exact name of the facial I got that time because it was a couple of months ago, but Ava suggested it after assessing my skin. It was so soothing and uplifting, I felt rejuvenated. That package included massage of the head face and shoulders many steps of cleansing and exfoliation and deep moisturizing. I think that treatment was an hour of more and I felt so at peace that it was hard to stay awake. This time I wanted something quick that I could fit into a busy weekend so she squeezed me in for a 30 minute Hydrofacial. There were a couple bizarre interactions between the front desk, woman and the woman doing my nails. It seemed as little as they were annoyed with one another. They have great color options as well and do nail art, etc for those looking to take things to a different level :) My 1 piece of constructive criticism is that they don't do a foot or hand massage which was pretty annoying and surprising to me. It's also not cheap so make sure you understand the pricing before you go. I also do not recommend taking kids here as I learned the hard way they charge $70 for kid mani/pedi with only polish on their toes and also no massage The kids definitely won't be back however I likely will be for my nails assuming they hold up over the next month or so.
