I think it was 15 minutes that I was there from start to finish. It may not have been the cheapest oil change even though I got the middle of the road synthetic oil, but I could say that with two oil filter changes, oil and my $15 off - I felt like it was well worth it . He suggested to bring car in, and he will have a look. Had car towed there. Found out it was an ignition coil. Tim also mention the I need to replace a wheel bearing, and control arms. San Francisco, CA 020 May 20, 2026 I pulled in and requested a price for service before I even pulled into garage. Tech said, oh sure, no coupon for that needed I'll just plug it in. When Grant brought me invoice he refused to honor price me and worker already agreed to. He took multiple times before he asked his colleague. He belittled his colleague and said, "he just cks in cars". He even asked, "if I have it in writing". Of course not. I said, I can't believe you're going this. The agreed price was $140 minus $10. He insisted on $145 and extorted the $15 by refusing to consult w colleague, refusing to give me store owners phone number where I finally threatened to call police for which I didn't and didn't want to trouble them. I asked Grant 1 last time, "why are you doing this" for which he said, $145. I finally called him a "f'n idiot" and he said, "now I'm not going to do anything". No idea what that was as he never offered anything other than full price (coolant). In my 45 years of having my cars serviced, I've never had the experience of "bait and switch", extortion, etc. If the 1st guy wouldn't have clearly agreed I'd probably have gladly paid the $145, but we agreed to $140-$10=$130 I've delayed posting this as I wanted to talk to owner and share even more details. Grant said, "he doesn't care about bad reviews" but that's not fair to owner as there's always a bad seed or an employee who requires retraining. This place left a bad taste in my mouth…read more.. I had been coming here for years, since before COVID. I had always appreciated their service. The last time left me feeling this business had changed, and not for the good. This was in December 2024. I have an older car with low miles for its age. (2011 Nissan 75,000 miles) I asked for the same service as in the past. Standard "non-synthetic" oil. The Manager on duty tells me they only have synthetic after they drained my oil. That they no longer have conventional oil. When I asked why they waited to tell me this after they drained my oil....The manager proceeded to tell me that I was hurting my car because it was high mileage, and the new owner was having them upgrade everyone to synthetic. I then had to ask Who are the new owners? The building and the sign still say Intsa-quick. He said it was Grease Monkey. This left me confused about who was actually changing my oil. I argued with the tech that they had better find some conventional oil. He then admitted that they could use conventional oil. As the tech handed me my bill, he then proceeded to tell me that next time I would need to argue with the tech on duty about conventional oil cause the new owners were only going to due synthetic oil changes. I looked at the bill and they used a SYNTHETIC BLEND.....not conventional oil. Now I am stuck with synthetic because of this business..... a Highly Unpleasant experience!!!!

Flew down to check it out and took it to the dealer and This place tightened the plug up.too much and cracked the oil pan and they knew they did it because it had silicone on the plug. 900 dollars to get the oil pan replaced.
