There were 12 of us, and from the moment we sat down, the service was attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating to our large group. The food was amazing across the board. We ordered a variety of dishes including sizzling fajitas, flavorful carne plates, Hawaiian chicken, burritos, shrimp cocktail, and of course plenty of cheese dip for the table. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The fajitas were perfectly seasoned and served sizzling, the carne plates were tender and well-portioned, and the Hawaiian chicken had a great balance of savory and sweet. The burritos were packed and satisfying, the shrimp cocktail was fresh and refreshing with the perfect kick, and the cheese dip was smooth, creamy, and hard to stop eating. Host was very friendly, server was great (he remembered my request for water as well as my mixed drink.. a small, but meaningful measure of attention), food was wonderful and I recommend. I'm Salvadoran and Mexican, was raised in California. So I'd say I was raised with some pretty good authentic cooking (my mom's cooking is A1 though)on the West coast lol. Bob Marley drink was made with tequila, so I went for it vs trying the mojito and it did not disappoint. I don't try my son's tacos, but they looked tasty. Price was more than some places I've seen, but good for the quality of service and food on a nice dinner out. I'll definitely be back if I do end up moving here. To say I was disappointed would be putting it lightly. Gabinos was the first place I had a Birria taco. This was a few years ago and it became my favorite dish. The meat and the au jus were delicious. Unfortunately, when I went this week and ordered the same dish, the tortillas were terribly greasy and the au jus was more like tomato soup complete with tomato chunks. I wish I could give it 0 stars Visited: 4/8/25 I came to Gabino's Mexican Grill last night for dinner while my husband is in the hospital, hoping for a good meal and a little peace. What I got instead was an absolutely frustrating experience from start to finish. The waitress ignored me and started taking orders from people who arrived after I did. When my drink finally came, it was made incorrectly--and instead of starting over, I watched the bartender pour the wrong drink into another glass and then make the correct one on top of it. Completely unprofessional. I then sat there waiting for TWO HOURS for my food. Eventually, the waitress asked if I wanted my meal to-go because they were about to close. I specifically told her NO--I wanted to see my food plated, taste a bit, and then pack it myself. Despite that, they brought it out in a to-go box anyway. And to top it off, they forgot the second order I had placed to-go. The food itself? Bland and tasteless. After all that waiting, it was extremely disappointing. I also watched 3-4 other tables dealing with bad service, and the manager was rude to them instead of trying to fix anything. I will never dine here again, and people deserve to know: Gabino's Mexican Grill has awful customer service, rude staff, and food that's not even worth the wait. I went to this restaurant and the manager was very rude. I called ahead of time and made reservations and was told once I arrived that the lady whom I spoke with never wrote the reservation information down so we had no table to accommodate our part of 30 ppl. Finally after asking if we could just sit on the patio I was asked if I can give them a name of someone to contact if anybody decides to run out on their bill. I gave my information even though I was upset bc I've never been asked that before...Everyone took care of their bills and tipped despite the managers comments and this fool still called the police to the restaurant as additional backup! We use to come at least once a week if not a couple of times. The manager, Omar, that was working 8/8/25 needs to be replaced immediately! We were here for 20 minutes with no one bringing our drinks or getting our order. If we had been a person coming in for our lunch break we would have had to leave and do without lunch. When we asked the manager if someone was going to help us he said our order was coming out. Really?! I guess they were going to read our minds because no one had taken our order yet. So when our server came out with 8 or so drinks on a tray, we only had 4 people in our group, the manager walked over and VERY RUDELY said "I thought you said no one had waited on you!" Seriously, we have been here this long and you are going to get an attitude with us?! The server was working as hard as could be. Oh my goodness some of the best Mexican food and the best service I've had in a very long time! The bartender, Michael was the best! He made a margarita specifically to my liking. The longest I've ever waited was maybe 30 minutes the most! One time the power went out. And the people were still very friendly and helpful! Now I'm not sure what really went on today. But it took our waiter almost a hour to bring our checks. Which is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. I love how they put whipped cream on my margarita. That's not their recipe. came here while on girls vacay, waited 25 mins for drink order, had to tell server was ready to order and his reply was "ok kitchen closes in 10 min". uh OK then do your job!!! then when server dropped off food he told us we had 15 mins before restaurant closed. the staff were way more concerned about getting off work then taking care of us in ANY way.
