Horrible customer service. An estimator came out to provide a quote for replacement of stockade fencing. More than two weeks, and several follow up calls later, they didn't even have the courtesy to provide a quote. No call backs. No email, just the runaround. First thing - UH-MAZING! From start to finish! We needed a tall fence up, quick,in our Fairfield CT home due to in a very difficult neighbor situation that would require utmost care to not upset or trespass. As a garden designer, living in a historic district, aesthetics and quality are also important - we want it done once and done right. Horrible customer service! Had them install a fence in 2019. First, the guys really cut corners and left an opening on one side of the fence. Luckily I moved a shed that was in front of it and noticed it on time. Contacted the company and was given the run around until someone finally came by. There is no other way to put it and excuse my language; they did a crappy patch up job. Not what you expect for a close to 5k job. Recently, one of the panels was completely blown away. See the picture. Obviously, was not properly secured. The top panel holding the fence was way too short. When contacted the company; the lady who picked up the first time was nice. Consequently, no one contacted me, so I reached out again. Send several emails and they manager has yet to respond. The last lady that I spoke with was rude and tried to say that I had to pay to fix it. I warn you to stay away. There are other companies who are more responsive and could do a better job for cheaper. I am a property manager and promised to never use them again. read more

Heard not great things but decided to give them a shot. Called for an appointment but they called a week later asking to reschedule for a different Saturday which I agreed to. They were a no show on the day they rescheduled for and I left a voicemail which of course went unanswered. I called the following Monday and they said they never scheduled an appointment for the previous Saturday, they scheduled for a Wednesday (which I told them would not work as I couldn't do during the week). They told me they no longer did Saturdays, and I said I would go elsewhere. Fast forward to the Wednesday they wanted to show up...it was the day before the big snow storm and they called to cancel. They send estimates w/o even looking at the job (just based on a conversation)and then tell you w/o paying UP FRONT IN FULL they won't even pencil you in for a "date of service"! Then they tell you payment is just an estimate and it could be much higher depending on supplies & labor!!! We have never, ever heard of such a thing! Talk about putting the cart before the horse. We were trying to enclose our vegetable garden when we were referred to King. Oddly, the recommendation was from a competing company who was unavailable to do our job. Hmmm, I should've waited ! Do not use this company ! The owner is charming enough to get the sale but his customer service is a Zero. We have a fence but we're not happy with the gaps that we were left with. I think all the chipmunks in Westchester loved the EZ pass lanes on either side of the swinging gate. When I pointed this out to the owner his response was unsavory. King Fence staff were quick and efficient in putting up my privacy fence in just one day. It did take about 2 months to get to my job. However I also chose a busy time of year (June, grad season, birthdays etc.) Would definitely recommend them but also be prepared to wait for an installation appointment if its during prime season for fencing (Spring-Summer). read more

Horrible experience. My first appointment for an estimate was cancelled because the driver was in a car accident on the way over so we had to reschedule. Not a problem. Totally understand. They rescheduled for the following Thursday at 11:00. They will not schedule after 2pm so I had to arrange to have a family member meet them because I'm at work. I got a text message reminder for my 11:00 appt. then a voice mail reminder for an 11:00 appt. I confirmed and had everything arranged for them to see my yard. The day of the appointment I check my phone and notice 3 missed calls from King Fence! First call was at 10:24 telling me they are outside the house and the last call 10:38 informing me that nobody is home and if we don't answer the door they will have to leave!!!! Really!! A family member arrived just before 11:00 and King Fence was gone!!!! Lost my business and I will tell family, friends, neighbors, anybody looking for a new fence to avoid this company like he plague!! An awful experience with a horrible unprofessional company. Let me tell you why this company has a 2 star rating. I called 2 days ago and spoke with "Perla" who said "let me get your address to make sure we cover your part of the Bronx, I'll talk to the boss and call you tomorrow with an appointment time." Perla never called back. I called today and Perla is oblivious about our prior conversation, all the while chewing her food in my ear while I explain I was waiting for a call back. Not only did she keep screwing up my address even though I repeated it over and over but she goes on to say that they have an opening for Friday the 22nd of June!!!! Really? Today is the 30th of May! I had an appointment booked for two weeks in advance for an estimate on 7/13/16. Two days prior I received a confirmatory phone call for said appointment followed by a text message. The day of said appointment we hired a babysitter in order to do a walk through with the estimator Frank. Our appointment time came and went, no estimator, no call, and or no text message. The next morning I called the company and they said there was a note saying they attempted to contact me, but did not have the correct phone number. Further, they were booked up and I would have to wait an additional week and a half for another appointment. When I indicated that I received several confirmations on the phone which they claim they did not have the correct number for, the receptionist stated that they must have dialed the number incorrectly. When asked if I could get an appointment closer in time being that I already had one, it was explained that the estimator was on vacation. I then learned King Fence did not do what they said.... 12 inch pipe cored (the metal pipes were 4" to 8") in the cedar post AND they used sheetrock screws.
