Pillowtop plush with puffy pampering pillows. It's been a while since I stayed at a Hampton property, so when I booked this reservation, I was thinking I'd be welcomed back into that comfy, cushy, luxurious world of slumber. Sadly, the modern version that I got was NOTHING like the past version. The room felt dated, or outdated. The bed was decently comfortable, but nothing like those memories of mine. The pillows were even less. The toilet was VERY low. Like sitting in your toddler grandchild's teatime chair. And the bedframe legs are definite big 'toe stubber's. I hit my toes on the bed legs several times. That said, I got an okay night's sleep. And SLEEP is the ENTIRE reason for hotels. The number ONE deterrent from gaining a good night's sleep is usually the room air quality. Cold or hot. I had to set the air conditioning at 70 degrees to remain comfortable. It sure did not feel like 70 degrees. Believe me, there were no icicles hanging from the ceiling. The 3rd floor hallway just outside my door was quite warm, too. The second deterrent to a restful stay is noise. The room was quiet OTHER than the a/c. That machine was rather loud. The ON and OFF cycling of the a/c was distracting and sleep disturbing. I hate to sound picky, but for a review to be helpful, one must be honest. Overall, an ok stay but NOT Hampton perfect.

It's not gated either. To protect themselves, they have a sign saying "if you lose your belongings or someone breaks into your car, we are not responsible". I was so worried for my car. Another point is that I had to change rooms 3 times and still they all smelled horrible. This mold in the photos poses a huge health risk and needs to be fixed asap before allowing humans to stay in there and breathe this air. Bedsheets and towels filled with other people's hair that showed how unhygienic this place is. The pillows smelled like human body odor and it was impossible to be near them. I could not last here one day. Staff at the desk at least are nice and helpful. I can say I am always thankful to them. Overall, I don't recommend this place at all if you care about your health. This are other hotels in the area that are better options. There is no standard at this place and the company only cares to take their money, but not what happens to the people after they stay here.

The amenities were plenty, the breakfast was chock full of options and everything was so clean, the pool and the pool area was well kept as was the fitness room. The outside of the property was well maintained. Here's an example. It rained so the ashtray by the bench was full of water.Within an hour or two it was all cleaned with new sand in it. Someone left a bottle of water by the entrance and when I came back down it was gone. It's little things like that that speak volumes about their management. It was a wonderful stay and their management team is on top of everything. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. This property well exceeded any expectations we had going in. Their hard work and dedication in making their guests experience a memorable one was appreciated and didn't go unnoticed. We will see them on our next visit for sure.
