Our campsite backs right-up to our boat…read moredock, so we can leave our boat in the water, that goes directly into the intercostal water way. The park manager, Adam, is awesome! He and his assistants Dale and Angie are always available, you see them all during the day working, if you need anything they are ready to assist in a super nice way/great attitude! In fact we see Adam all the time, including the weekends, he always asks as he's passing by if everything is okay or if we need anything. The sites are full hookup; the landscape is beautiful; with a nice pool that extends to an undercover pavilion shaded area so we can play cards when we're not in the pool. It's only 0.7 miles from our campsite to the other side of the bridge, to the beach. I love Buttonwood RV Resort so much, I wish I could live here all year long!

Sarasota Bay RV Park is on Cortez Road close to the bridge that goes across to Anna Maria Island…read more Wonderful location that is close to the beaches and close to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. We stayed here for a month in February 2021 when we moved down to Florida. The park is older so the roads are very narrow making it hard to back into sites. The sites are an ok width with room to put chairs and relax. The view at most of the sites is just the RVs at the other sites. The park had an outbreak of covid and during the time we got to the park. We really appreciated the park telling us. We had already been staying in a self-isolation of sorts which is easy in your own RV even in a park. This park staff is honest and will let you know what's going on-though, I'm sure some parks would not. We only had one issue during our stay-we had trouble getting our deposit back when we returned the fob for the restrooms and laundry. We did get it mailed to us but it took numerous phone calls and trips to the park. There are a number of amenities available such as pickleball courts, a heated pool, recreation hall, l shuffleboard court and others. There are also activities that you can enjoy. We were here during the Covid-19 pandemic so did not use or do any of these.

They've done a great job as far as keeping the structural integrity in place as well as preserving history. They have a gift shop with some snacks and ice cream in it and I also snagged a really cool hat and T-shirt combo for just 25 bucks. Good email communication from Sarasota County. Gated. This is a very tiny campground so it's difficult to get a reservation unfortunately. There's a size limit on the campers as it is fairly tight getting into your site. You must pack your patience when coming in and going out due to there being only one single road with the sites situated on each side of the road. Your vehicle is a tight fit as well. Tents welcome. Safe for kids. Bathhouse used to be available and it was quite nice but they had to remove it after hurricane damage. Now there are bath/shower trailers. There's a very lovely park next door with a new playground, kayak rentals and a boat ramp.

But there are great stores and restaurants nearby for convenience. We stayed here 5 days September. We were in the pull-thrus right across from the lake. The lake is pretty with many water birds. They allow catch and release fishing and kayaking. There is a sign that there may be alligators but we didn't see any. The site was long enough for our 32 ft travel trailer and pickup to be in. We had full hookups that were in good condition. There was a picnic table and grass on the door side and a beautiful palm tree on the driver's side. It was a nice area to put chairs and enjoy the lake or there were benches to sit and relax. There was a pool and other amenities that we did not try but looked nice. It will be fun going back when I can use these things! Office staff was friendly and helpful. They take Passport America at least in summer. I definitely recommend Pleasant Lake RV Resort!!
