My Mother and Sister and I all love King Nails Salon. They do the BEST job and actually care about their clients (For reference: I have short nail beds, and thick fingers and I find it hard to make fake nails look good on me. Made an appointment and Tran did my nails very well! I have long nails and add acrylic as an overlay on top of my natural nail. I did also get one tip as my pinky was broken off. My nails were a total mess when I arrived for my appointment. He added acrylic to my entire nail and shaped them perfectly. He did ask me first how I like my nails as far as shape and length and did as requested. Tran is a bit of a perfectionist which I love as I am too! The price is reasonable but higher than I've been paying, which is okay as he did an excellent job! Now time will tell how well they last. I will return to add an additional review. Not a bad place, it was one of the only ones open on Columbus Day so I was very excited about it. The chair felt wonderful, the girl only said a few words total to me during the pedicure, but that's ok. Most of the time she was flirting with the gentleman that worked there. Nothing wrong with that. My feet constantly hurt from wearing boots at work, and she was able to dig out the ingrown toenails that like to show up sometimes. The massage was light, but felt great. Had the hot towel treatment and exfoliating scrub. I don't feel the design on my big toes was worth the extra $10 though. Friday was my fifth and last visit to this salon. Every time I visit I have a full mani/pedi. After each previous visit, I would justify the mediocre experience with how busy they were or some common excuses so I wouldn't be frustrated. But no longer. The middle aged man that did the pedicure has pushed me beyond what I can excuse or accept. First off, I removed most of the gel polish from my toes before I came in, he had the tiniest amount left to remove and I explained that my eyesight prevented me from doing the finishing work. He had the nerve the lecture me about how to do it myself properly and commenced with a huffy attitude. Uh yeah, buddy, like I mentioned, I was UNABLE. I chose a regular polish and when he was complete with the job he asked me what I thought. Because the man who did my toes last time failed to put polish on the tip of my big toenails I checked them. Again this person did not polish the big toe tips either. I asked if he would please do that. He at first accepted my suggestion and began, however he kept painting the toe itself and he was getting frustrated. I walked in asked if they had time for a fill. I waited about 20 min and got sent to my chair. They took another woman and started her before me. It took another 15 min to be helped. Ann came back and began my service. She literally made me put my phone down in the middle of me sending an important email so she could work on my right hand. Let me say this, I have had acrylic nails for 15 years consistently... I know my tech can work on both hands at the same time without making me put my phone down. It was just petty. She was rude and seemed inconvenienced. At one point Alex came to work on my polish, he was so kind and seemed like he loved his job. Ann came back to finish, the polish was beautiful and I was happy with my paint. I asked for tapered almond and got tapered round and after her attitude I didn't want to ask for what I wanted again. Came here for a mani pedi and got talked into doing the dipping powder for my nails. I wanted them to look natural so I asked for a light pink polish. Long story short my nails look like trash. I got charged $40 for what looks like just a clear coat on my nails. Not to mention the polish is bumpy underneath and my nails are uneven. My nails look completely unfinished I feel so cheated. I came in here as a walk in for a manicure and pedicure. They did a decent job, but I was rushed and it wasn't that enjoyable. I'm use to getting a massage and other things like a hot towel that comes standard with a manicure and pedicure. This place just doesn't do that. Also because of the location of this place, the parking lot fills up really fast and it becomes difficult to find a parking spot just to get your nails done. Too much hassle, too much work for something that's just not that great. This was my first and last time at this place. This place is just OK. I'm sorry but I don't know what anyone sees in this place. I've tried them well over a half a dozen times. Three times I've had a gel French manicure and it hasn't been very good. Each time a different manicurist. All of them male. My last visit Sunday pretty much concluded that they just don't have the expertise, and the cost of $35.00 doesn't warrant it. The tips are too narrow for growth. The index finger is chipping in one day and the pinkie has too much polish which will lift on the edges. So frustrating. I don't recommend them. I always go here to get my nails done. I prefer working with Ann or Alex (#1 or #2) but most of the nail techs are pretty good at what they do. I've gotten gel, acrylic, white/pink, French, American and most of the cheaper pedicures. I've gotten my eyebrows waxed here too. They always do a good job of remembering me and asking about how my day is going and if I had a good day at work. They always have the Travel channel on too, so watching Guy Fieri take a tour through Flavortown town while you get your nails done is pretty sweet. The only con I have is a couple of the techs can get rough with the grinder and if they are busy can rush through your nails. But that's why I prefer Ann or Alex, as it's their business and they always do a good job. Avoid on the weekends unless you have an appointment or risk waiting around for awhile. read more

My full set had little pits in the polish on two fingers, cuticles a wreck and the polish was uneven. My mom's pedicure took almost an hour (basic pedi) and then her nails took an additional hour for a manicure with gel polish after they got annoyed because she had gel on her fingers and had to have them soaked off.
