When Hazel Eye Center opened up we made the switch. First, the facility is bright and open with a few seats in a waiting area and a wall of eye glass frames. The staff here are very friendly. On our first visit we filled out the necessary information on a tablet and received a very thorough examination. My spouse and I went into the exam room together and took turns in the chair. Dr. Hazelton is very friendly and we actually enjoyed the exam. She recommended a new contact lens for me and gave a sample to try. They work well and I am happy with them. She also updated my eye glasses prescription and I purchased a new set of frames and lenses through her. They are not cheap, but as they are a designer label, they wouldn't be and my lenses are always expensive based on my prescription. This is not a surprise cost and I really like the frames. Dr. Hazelton took time to personally help me find frames I would be happy with after I told her I felt pressured into the old pair and never like the way I look in them. We have called them with questions and stopped in to pick up orders and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They are a small business and sometimes we have to leave a message or wait for staff to come out of the exam room which we understand and don't mind. We are happy with our change of eye doctor. There is plenty of parking in front of and to the side of their office. They are located right where Bald Hill road turns into Quaker lane across from the Stop & Shop/Cowesett Corners Shopping Center. If coming from the south, you will drive past the building, turn left at the court house then left again and come up Quaker Lane to access the parking lot.

Finally after reaching the manager at the Woonsocket Office, I was assured the order was just placed and I would receive the contact lenses in five days. I am now waiting.......

When I went back to get the glasses fitted, the young man that helped to fit them on my face was also nice but he didn't do a good job. I came back a week later and one of the woman working was not friendly at all, borderline rude. So I left and went to another LensCrafters to get the glasses fitted. I almost didn't come back to this LensCrafters when I was getting prescription sunglasses but it was just more convenient. I can specifically recommend Mary if you want to feel demoralized and spoken down to while your glasses don't even fit your head and zero adjustments were made. She will tell you all about how you're not looking through the right part of the lens like you haven't been wearing glasses your whole life. I'm glad I was able to keep them on my head long enough to go see Ray at the Attleboro Mass store where I was greeted with a smile and my glasses were adjusted so that when I look at my shoes they don't fall off my head; a novel concept. Lesson learned. I tried going here because it was closer to my work but will stick with the Attleboro store from now.

She never makes the visit feel rushed, she listens, explains and answers questions thoroughly. I could go on and on about Dr Young. The staff in the front- are awesome. Eric the Manager is super fun but also great at his job. All the ladies in the front are helpful, friendly and kind. I had to ask a question about not having my hubby's HSA card on me just the numbers and both girls were awesome about it!
