They have a really great selection of glasses and the store is really clean. The prices are really expensive so definitely need to wait for a sale. I got 3 new pairs of glasses on sale last year and the nicest woman helped me. When I went back to get the glasses fitted, the young man that helped to fit them on my face was also nice but he didn't do a good job. I came back a week later and one of the woman working was not friendly at all, borderline rude. So I left and went to another LensCrafters to get the glasses fitted. I almost didn't come back to this LensCrafters when I was getting prescription sunglasses but it was just more convenient. Great selection of frames. Many different designs and styles as well as brand names. But unfortunately there was very little pleasantry expected from retail sales, especially when dropping $700+. From the moment I walked in to a week later when I picked up my new pair I didn't see one smile or bit of enthusiasm from the 4 different people I dealt with. 4 separate opportunities to redeem themselves and it seemed to get worse with each successive person. I can specifically recommend Mary if you want to feel demoralized and spoken down to while your glasses don't even fit your head and zero adjustments were made. She will tell you all about how you're not looking through the right part of the lens like you haven't been wearing glasses your whole life. I'm glad I was able to keep them on my head long enough to go see Ray at the Attleboro Mass store where I was greeted with a smile and my glasses were adjusted so that when I look at my shoes they don't fall off my head; a novel concept. Extremely Disappointed with LensCrafters - Misleading and Poor Service! I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at LensCrafters in Warwick Mall, Rhode Island. First, they gave me the wrong size frame, and I had to replace it. When placing the order for the correct size, I made it very clear that I was leaving Rhode Island in two weeks and wouldn't be coming back. They assured me the glasses would be ready in 10 days, saying that was the "worst-case scenario." It's now well past that, and they still have no idea when my frames will be delivered to the store (they say they can't track when they will be delivered). The lack of communication has been frustrating, with no clear answers or updates. While delays happen, being promised a specific timeframe under important circumstances and then being left in the dark is unacceptable. I expected much better from a large company like LensCrafters. If you're on any sort of schedule or want reliable customer service, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. I do not recommend doing business with this store. Period! Update: The glasses finally arrived at my house via UPS a couple of days ago (after a month) and guess what? They are defective (the right hinge is loose and crocked). I went to LensCrafters in my area to get service (as I was promised I could get service at any LensCrafters in the US), and they told me the glasses are unfixable and not in stock! This was a first in needing eyeglasses after many, many years. The service was phenomenally attentive, quick, and accurate. There was quite a good selection of frames, and a special price was available depending on the quality one desired. Since the frames chosen were available from their stock, the glasses were ready in a few hours. Prices are a bit high, and that is the reason for the four rather than five stars. I said why? She asked again. I told her I had a negative experience back in April so I may rethink next time I need glasses . Luckily, we struck pretty lucky on the first try. Warranty & protection plans are a big deal when 7-year-olds are involved, and LensCrafters keeps up with them by checking expediently and honoring them quickly. We've had to take advantage of this benefit a couple of times now, and each instance was as painless as you could ask for. The staff always seems to be plentiful on the showroom/fitting/repairs side (we haven't dealt with the optometrist half of the store). Better yet, we always get a genuinely friendly greeting, and service is friendly and capable. The wait times are reasonable and frequently brief, which I can appreciate. Overall, my family walks in with a need and not long after walks out with a workable solution for reasonable money. That's what we're looking for, and LensCrafters is delivering it. read more

Terrible service . No recommendation /advice when I wanted just reading and not bifocal Sold me a pair frames and lenses that look hideous when put together. Would've been nice if they told me that switching to just single reading prescription will increase the lens thickness When I complained that the lenses were thicker than the frame they blamed it on the prescription and wanted me to pay an up charge of $150 for higher index lenses. I visited LensCrafters yesterday for an eye exam with Dr Glaser. Upon arrival in the office the staff members were very friendly and checked me in right away. I had some pre screening tests done prior to seeing the doctor and the gentleman who perform the tests was great. My visit with Dr Glaser was very thorough. He went over my medical history as well as my previous eye exam (which was 10 years ago). He then examined my eyes and performed the eye exam. I did opt to have my eyes dilated however I like that they let you choose whether you'd like to do that or not and also give the option to come back and have it done if you'd prefer someone drive you home. Lucky for me my eyes haven't changed and I do not need prescription glasses. After my exam I visited the other side of the office where you can purchase glasses and sunglasses. Mallory assisted me as I was thinking of switching the lenses in my sunglasses. Though I decided not to she was super helpful and I will absolutely be back when I am looking for a new pair of shades. On a side note my husband visited the same office the week before and had just as great of an experience as I and he did purchase new glasses and prescription sunglasses from Mallory. His glasses were ready in under an hour and his sunglasses were special order and were supposed to take about a week, they were ready in 3 days. I really thought nothing of it when I walked in the door, but when we were greeted right away and then served so nicely, I immediately knew I was going to Yelp! about this place! The service was prompt and very friendly. I knew nothing about what I was doing and the lady who was helping me walked me through step by step. Stay away, Horrible experience!!!!!!! OK service, in picking frames and ordering glasses. When I picked up my new glasses they were handed to me. No fitting. I said that they were out of focus on the sides (progressive lenses). After a week I went back and said that they ere not as clear as my two year old glasses (from the same store). I was told that my old glasses had premium lenses. These had standard scratch resistant, not premium. For another $250, they will change the lenses to the premium. Or they did offer to let me return the glasses. Well then I loose the insurance and don't have glasses. Why were the premium lenses not offered when I purchased the new ones. It would then have been my decision based on the difference. Why have low end lenses in the first place. LensCrafters used to be a great place to get new glasses. Not anymore. read more

I have never stepped foot into a commercialized lense store before as my eye doctor has always sold lenses and frames at his practice.just recently, he stopped doing so and I decided to check out Lens Crafters as my husband had a pretty good experience. I went to the Warwick Mall store and was promptly greeted by Mallory who assisted me in the whole experience. She was great and ensured that I got the most bang for my buck while utilizing my VSP benefits as well as the promotional coupon my husband received in the mail. She was also very honest and helpful in trying to decide on frames, which can be a tumultuous task with or without others. I ended up picking up my order the following day as I had to get home and she ensured everything fit and was the correct prescription before I even left the store. Ordered a pair glasses waited two weeks for them to come in. Finally I called and asked what was up I was told they would be in Monday for sure. On Monday I called again and was told that they weren't in and they would be in Tuesday. I went down there asked why there has been such a delay I was told the lab was backed up but they would be in Tuesday or Wednesday. Not impressed with selection at this store. Found it annoying that over half of the selection is locked up. I understand if to prevent theft.. But for some people they have to try on every pair of glasses to find the right one. The sales people are nice and answered my questions. I have always bought my glasses from LensCrafters. Have progressive lenses and can't use the LC glass. Have found I can only use Varilux lenses to get best performance. Was told today no more discount or insurance coverage for these lenses. Lenses alone estimated at 940.00. If this is on Varilux, to hell with them! I have been a fan of LensCrafters for many years. I have used their Optometrists for many years, particularly at the Providence Place Mall store, and found their service to be professional and courteous. In 2010 I took part in the one-year Eyewear Protection Plan and found it to be a great source of comfort when my glasses became damaged or I needed to exchange them for other reasons. In 2012 I utilized the Protection Plan to replace my glasses on at least four occasions and was very pleased with the ability to do this. On January 19th I walked into the Warwick Mall store with the intent to exchange my Tiffany glasses (purchased in October) and was serviced by Debbie. She was surly and rude (she appeared more interested in telling me that she worked there for 25 years, and knew everything, than in assisting me with my transaction). I had planned to exchange my Tiffany glasses for a pair of glasses of lesser value fully expecting to get a credit, as had been past practice. She claimed this was not Lens Crafters policy and stated that other stores (i.e., Providence Place) were wrong in doing that. When I returned for pick-up, I went to the general manager, Ted, to gain a better understanding of this evident change in the policy. I found his response to be rather dismissive. He was unapologetic for my experience. I do want to stress that I wanted an apology and he stated "I don't know what I have to apologize for." At that point I realized that my relationship with Lens Crafters was over and left with my original glasses. read more

I always do well here. Not only is it super convienent to just hit the mall for a meal and some shopping but now I can get an eye exam, glasses and contacts all in one place. I am all about the "easy button." I work retail and the holidays are always a crazy time. I don't know how I did this but I got glue, dried up crunchy glue, in my eye. And not just like oh rub your eye, rinse repeat, youre fine kinda thing. This shit was stuck and I was in pain! It was right on the color part of my eye! It wouldnt move and I panicked. So I called up LensCrafters and they told me to come on down we will take a look. Mind you it was 7:30pm on a friday night right before christmas. I was so thankful! They numbed my eye, which I must say was a very very very weird new sensation, and took out the foreign object with no problem. The doc even gave me some antibiotic drops just in case. Phew! I can see! Recently, I purchased two new pairs of frames and the associate who helped me gave me the best price point to save me the most money. Worst customer service ever! I highly recommend you shop for glasses elsewhere. Girl at the shop front desk was rude. I tried to purchase a pair of glasses and she said there would be an hour wait. However it was her tone and attitude that was totally unprofessional. I was not please with the way she was talking to me. When I asked name, she refuse to tell me. I was always a lens crafters fan, Normally I get a excellent service and the selection of frames is pretty good but after my last visit I will not be doing busy with them every again. When I checked in for my appointment, the girls were eating pizza right at the check in desk, talking about their plans and what to wear, completely ignoring me. finally someone looked up and asked me if I had an appt. NO! I just wanted to listen in on your conversation and hope you would give me some pizza. So while I was filling out my papers, I decided to ask about contact lens, the girl told me that it was an extra charge and different appointment and there was a sign I could read. OK. When I was finally brought in, for the initial eye exam by the charming assistant, she was very very rude and didn't seem to want to be there, then when I met this doctor he was smelled horrible, he didn't seem to know what he was doing and he seemed inpatient with me while he was trying to dilate my eyes, I don't like things being put in my eyes who does? and as a doctor who works with eyes all day you would think you would be used to patients like me. he seemed very annoyed. To boot, at the end of the exam the doctor walked out of the room with out saying a word then about 5 mins later walked in and said oh, your still here um you can um check out. like I should have known horrible service. read more
