Not a welcoming environment was told there was a lane but no where to sit at that lane. We had a 3 year old we were fine but basically we weren't really offered the lane more of a warning like it's crowded cause of the special needs people... again WE HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT. So it felt like yeah we have a lane but we don't want you to complain so you can't have it... So tell people you don't have a lane and give them a wait time... we were told a couple hours a couple hours.. seriously and you have multiple lanes open but I'm sure you didn't want to put a young child next to older people who might complain is that it? Im so confused as to the approach here. Just say we have no lanes available I'm sorry for the inconvenience and give me a realistic wait time.....just saying a couple hours when no one is waiting ahead of us and we are 2 people seems insane. We left upset and the manager on the phone when I called didn't seem to care I said so we can't play " Well what you were told" was there's no seating.. Ok maybe take the time to show the guest the space take the time to be a "host" of a business be more gracious with how you speak to people. Be more welcoming my husband worked for a bowling alley for a long time we understand the stress of organizing and making everyone happy can be hard. But just say we don't have a lane currently I'm sorry this is the wait time would you like to wait? We were looking for our new regular place we just moved here and excited to try it out. All they ever do is discriminate against people with special needs such as myself. Earlier today, my group went there and we left immediately because of the boorish way they treated us. King Pin Lanes shouldn't be in business at all if they cannot accommodate to people with special needs. Do not go there to bowl if you know someone like us. We deserve better treatment. read more

February 17, 2025: I enjoyed my first league here, but my positive view of this place has fallen quickly. They have a decent atmosphere. It's an older bowling alley and they have issues that can be expected of an older bowling alley. There is a grill that serves up pretty good food and a separate bar that makes good drinks. There is no Pro Shop. The everyday staff (cooks, bartenders, front staff, and mechanics) hold this place together. The ownership, they're a different story. The place is essentially slowly falling apart. There are constant issues with their pin resetters, balls get caught up either in the backend or in the ball return, and the place is often short-staffed. It is very apparent that the owners do not put any money back into the place. I am surprised that bowlers continue to bowl here. I don't know how long they're willing to hold their loyalty this place. The owner keeps taking their money and will not make any improvements. It is very surprising that this place is able to hold any USBC sanctioned leagues or tournaments. On Friday, Feb 7, 2025, I was bowling a weekly league and there was a severe lane condition issue on all 24 lanes. I went to the front counter during our practice time and reported the issue to the staff. I was told by the staff that the lanes were oiled the same as they were in previous weeks. The issue was the whole lane was oiled, to include the backend and pin area. Bowlers that are able to curve or hook the ball several boards were only able to throw straight balls. I reported the issue again immediately after practice and the staff said there was nothing they could do. We reported the issue to our league president and he said there was nothing he could do. He said they had a similar issue like this before and nothing was done. My team and I tried to bowl the first game, but I tried adjusting my throw to the point of injuring my back and a teammate injured his knee. I filed a formal protest and nothing was done through my league, even after the league discussed the issue with Pikes Peak USBC. I will continue to escalate the issue until I receive some sort of satisfactorily course of action. I placed a review on Google discussing the issue I had on Feb 7th and I guess the owner did not like it. As part of the reply from my league president concerning my formal protest, I was told that the owner wanted an apology. An apology for what? Their machine either was not ran properly or had a malfunction severely changing the oil pattern. They never reported the issue to our president or the other league president bowling on the front 12 lanes. They never offered to re-oil the lanes or run their machine again in attempt to correct the issue. They never offered the option to have us replay the night at a later date. Instead, they collected their money from 120 bowlers and offered nothing to correct the issue. Who should be apologizing? Me for reporting the issue, or the owner for doing nothing to correct the issue? This place should not be operating under their current ownership. I do not know how they continue to maintain their USBC sanction. I get it, there are only so many places to bowl in the area. If you are given the choice of where to hold your league, tournament, or regular Saturday night fun night, I would choose somewhere else until this place gets their act together. I will finish my league out of here this season, but I will likely not return unless they make some real changes. read more

This was my first visit here and will definitely be back! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the old school pricing per game per person (very reasonable rates, too) instead of an hourly rate. Much more affordable for us, and I wasn't stressed at three kids for not rushing through the game so we could try to "get our money's worth" out of an hourly lane. We'd already eaten before going bowling, so I can't speak to food quality or service. The man working the front counter was friendly and very helpful as was the lady who was going around keeping things wiped down. The place was very clean and had no off odors. It's an old bowling alley, but it's been updated and well maintained. The lighting was just right (I have light sensitivity) and the background music was also just right (2 kids have sound sensitivity). It wasn't busy when we arrived around 7:30pm on Saturday, but it picked up over the next hour and was busy when we left around 9:30pm, yet it didn't feel crowded. They have gutter guards for the little kids that are programmed for the kid's name, so only he got the cheater help haha. We very much enjoyed our evening at King Pin. read more

My Girlfriend and I visited this bowling location to enjoy some bowling together. This location is really close to home that's why we decided it'd be a great fit to enjoy our time. Although the bowling experience was nice. The other things around it is what makes this review only 2-3 star worthy. Once my Girlfriend and I arrived to the location and checked in at the front desk a woman employee somewhat looked confused to what we were standing at the front desk for. We spoke and said that we were interested in getting a lane. The employee gave us our shoes, but didn't really mention how much the the cost would be per game & per person. We didn't mind out until after how much the price was. It was only $27 for 3 games with 2 people which isn't too bad, but it would've still been nice to know beforehand. This location started to get pretty busy around 6:00pm-6:30pm on a Sunday. Once my Girlfriend and I were done bowling we were at the front counter to return our shoes and pay for our session, but it started to get busy to where the people who were working the front counter had other places to help out as well from what it seemed like . So there was a few minute wait for us being helped out. Also most if not all of their bowling balls aren't labeled to what weight size they are. It's not the biggest deal in the world but it makes it easier for the bowler using their bowling balls. Besides the fact of those miscues it was still a nice time. We'd still probably return back to this location, but wouldn't box ourselves into just this one location in the area. read more

A gray haired lady was working the front counter, said they didn't accept Apple Pay when online it says they do. When checking out, she made me use the ATM to pull out cash to pay, only to find out that they do accept contactless payment including Apple Pay. She argued with me saying "you said Apple Pay" but none the less, THEY ACCEPT ALL FORMS OF CONTACTLESS PAYMENT. It was extremely embarrassing and a line formed behind me, all because an employee didn't know how to do her job. read more

We've always had good experiences here. I'm kinda disappointed by some of the old reviews, not that I don't believe them just sad that they had a bad experience in a place we've enjoyed so much over the years. I personally find King Pin's lanes to be among the best kept in town. Covid hit them hard I hear, and I imagine keeping it afloat through that was a monumental task with overwhelming financial pressure. I don't really know much about the owner personally, but I hope they are in a better financial place these days. We sure plan to give them some support. read more

Older gentleman at the counter was extremely rude. Would definitely not recommend unless you are a part of a league. Had a group of disabled adults and he refused to put bumpers up for them. We went here for an event and the event was good, then went to order food at the snack bar and the wrong food was delivered to our table they took it back and then delivered the food that was just at our table to another table.you just don't do that, after it was giving to the wrong table you can't take it back then regive it back to another table. read more

Came here for the first time last Saturday night when Harmony Bowel had a long wait. The rude prejudice guy at the front desk named Mike was rude from the moment we went in. We were bowling and my friend had Mike go up to him and tell him we were ruining the people who were bowing next us game next to us bowling game. Every time we would go they would mess up on their game because we weren't waiting for them to finish. Are you kidding me this is not a bowling league but a night just to have fun. We got looks from the people next to us and Mike at the front desk all night long. You would have thought we were crimsons the way Mike was watching us like a hawk all night long. There were some kids who were next to us who were making faces at us when we would bowl. They never got talked to or approached by Mike at all. Come to find out they were the kids of the parents that who we were supposedly affecting their bowling and complaint about us. I mentioned that when we went to pay for our game. Mike had an attitude and I had to put him in check then he stopped. I came to the conclusion with the vibe and the way he treated us was it was because the other folks and their kids were white is why they didn't get talked to, but we did. I will never go to this place as this horrible experience. We will stick with harmony or Summit interquest due to their respecting their customers and diversity. Shame on you kingpin for having people like this work for you. When you read the other reviews here it's very clear this employee Mike comes up often. If that doesn't tell you what a sad employee you have working for you it shows you clearly don't care about your customers. The fact he is also discriminating special needs people according to these other reviews is a disgrace. Very few lane breakdowns, full leagues every night and most days, waiting list on several leagues due to popularity, most if not all area All-Star bowlers (youth and adult) bowl out of this bowling center, open bowling is packed and busy most of the time and not unusual to see a wait list, and great prices on food and drinks. read more

King Pin is awesome. It's in a spot that's a bit difficult to find - you have to go through a warehouse parking lot to get to it, so fair warning! The place looks a little worn down outside, but inside it's got amazing, nice lanes! There are tons of balls to choose from, the staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and nice, and the food and drinks are tasty and well priced! They recently held an event to help raise money for my nephew and niece because their mother passed away. My brother bowls there often, and the outpouring of support was touching. King Pin along with D.Y. Pro Shop did an excellent job with hosting the event, and it was just so wonderful that they offered their services/help. read more

Previous times has put me and party next to strangers on same lane when the place is empty. Had a party of 4 and made us bowl on the same lane, resulting in our game lasting longer. My teenage kids frequent this bowling alley due to its convenient location and affordable cost. We have always felt it was an average bowling alley but it serves its purpose. Tonite my teenage boys went with some friends/teammates and it was apparent the staff was not happy to have them show up. The attitude at the front counter was unwelcoming and rude. A few of The boys went to the snack bar and ordered some food which the staff brought to our lane. Then one of the other boys went and ordered some food. When his food was delivered another young man decided to go and order some food and when he walked up they told him they were closed. It was 935pm and this establishment was scheduled to close at 1100pm. The boys continued to bowl and inevitably they got thirsty, but because the snack bar was closed they had to get water from the water cooler. After 2 of them went and got some water the staff started giving them a hard time about using all the water cups. Between us all, we spent over $100 at this place and they were concerned about the small paper cups? Really? This is poor business and awful customer service. I work as a mentor for adults with special needs. I'm writing this reciew because I've never met anyone that openly discrimantes against special needs individuals until I met the employees at King Pin Lanes . Mike works at the front desk and is a sad guy. So today as soon as my self and my 3 participants. Mike starts eyeballing us like were criminals. Mike never took his eye off us as I'd we were stealing bowling balls. When we approached Mike and asked if we could play and use the bumpers, he smiled like he won the lottery, smirked no and said no, then stared awkwardly at us without saying anything till we walked away in bewilderment . Mike likes to play God behind his sweet counter and decides which special needs individuals can bowl and which can't bowl that day. Its happend many times and we've learned to call to see if he or his counterpart "some grey haired lady who has RBF is working that day to avoid the discrimination. Its sad that their only employee that welcomed us with open arms (Dillon) quit working there to take a career working with us . i could go on and on about the different discrimantorial actions they've taken place in, but I'm sure you get the point from my single experience today, its not a fluke or rare occurrence, its there MO .
