The associates are rude. They think I'm going to hand over MY HANDBAG to the counter? No I'm not a thief. I should've known better than to try and shop in Whittier. This is a great location to browse for collectors, antique and vintage lovers. It is more than 50K square feet spread over multiple floors filled with one-of-a-kind merchandise. I came by on a Sunday afternoon, it was a little busy but not overly crowded. Each booth is rented by a antique dealer to showcase furniture, jewelry, clocks, clothing, dishes, dolls, art, memorabilia, and framed posters, etc. The main floor has a service counter if you need assistance or have questions. Each section was very organized, you can easily browse at your own pace. The building was built more than 100 years ago and is the largest antique center in California. Limited Parking shared with businesses in the area or park at neighboring public street parking areas. 4 floors of nostalgic memorabilia , antiques and vintage collectibles from furnitures , home goods , fashions and jewelry etc. We were so intrigued by the beautiful displays of things pasts , some interesting items brought back so much memories of our childhood, dang we felt old and wish we could go back to one of the earliest times when furniture were well made using real wood . Unfortunately we didn't purchase anything, items that I love I don't have a place for . Just need a bigger house lol!! Nice mall in a large space, but not many customers. It has mostly thrift items. About 10% furniture and not items of real value or collectible, mostly what you expect from an antique store. Good pricing for many of the vendors. I purchased 15 items. Note that they close at 5 but a woman approached me before 4 o'clock and asked me some questions such as when I was going to check out and if I was going to purchase everything. I know their purchase by 4 pm policy. I wanted to shop another half hour and purchase more but she made me feel uncomfortable. The younger associate at the counter who was helping me over a period of several hours was very kind. I was done checking out by 4:10. I only mention this so that when visiting, you should plan on going earlier and leave by 4 pm. read more

Very late to the game and just found out about King Richard's Antique Center in Whittier. Absolutely wow and will definitely be coming back... 5 stars!!!!! King Richard's could possibly be one of the biggest antique centers in the country! It is humongous, with as many as 4 massive floors of merchandise, from furniture to home decor to collectible knick knacks! You can spend an entire day and probably not have enough time to check out every single item that's available for sale in each of the hundreds of seller booths. There so many pieces of beautiful furniture that I'd love to have in my home, if only I had the space and of course, the budget! King Richard's is housed inside the Citrus Packing Building in the 1900s, and it's cool enough to just be able to check out a historic building. Kudos to all the resellers for doing such an amazing job organizing and presenting their treasures needing a new home. Also, watch out for sale prices since a lot of the sellers often offer discounts on their items. Make sure to seek out the booths with posted discounts. During my first visit, I found that most resellers price their items reasonably, even without a discount. Make sure you have plenty of time as well as have comfortable walking shoes when you visit. It's open everyday from 11 am to 5 pm, except on Tuesdays, which is the day reserved for resellers/dealers and their booths. Parking can be limited when it's busy, but it's pretty easy to find free street parking within a very short walking distance. read more

I've been in a couple of times and it's a huge place with antiques and vintage of all kinds. The staff are friendly while giving you space, and it's laid out well with relatively wide aisles so it never feels too cramped even with a lot of shoppers. The vendors take pride in curating their booths and it's a fun place to browse. I've gotten a few things here in a past and found them to be priced well. I love the old creaking wood floors. They've gotten better at ventilating the space so it's more comfortable now than when they had the swamp coolers. I usually park on the street so parking has never been an issue for me. If you're on the wall, give them a visit and you'll have a good time. Just don't bring big bags. read more

Arrived at 4pm and were greeted by the staff who did not let us know that we should start with upper and lower level would be closing at 4:30pm. They then closed the lower before 4:30. They also began blasting static out to the whole store. Staff were rude at checkout and let some people down to look and not others. Prices are high for the pieces and they only offer discounts over $300 the staff said. Parking lot is shared with other businesses. Guess they don't want sales! read more

We were there for five hours and it was STILL not enough time to see everything. I made a lot of mental notes for my future home! Haha There's an incredibly large selection of furniture, clothes, toys, books, vinyl and even taxidermy for reasonable prices! I had such a great experience at King Richard's Antique Center! There was plenty of parking in the front of the establishment entrance! From the outside it looks like your regular sized store but once inside, you will find that this place is huge!! It's 3 floors and everything is incredibly well organized. They have everything and anything !! From vintage clothing to collectible memorabilia to some crazy vintage and fun furniture. No matter what kind of collector you are, you're definitely going to find something here! It's a fun exploration for anyone who loves unique finds and all a fair price! One vendor unfortunately shows up whenever he wants and my last trip I was left disappointed because he had items I really wanted to look at but didn't get to see at all because he was closed. It was such a bummer coming out and wasting 4 hours of my time from that but the rest of the store was fun to explore! I love how it looks small from the outside but once you go in, you end up shocked by how much is around. Some prices are pretty high for what the items are but I understand thats the vendors pricing! This is an antiques lovers dream place. It is 3 floors of all types of antiques. I came here and was blown away by all the items. If you are looking for classic baseball cards or chia pets or special Disney items from your childhood. It is probably here. I found a metal lunch box from my childhood that I thought I would never see again. My kids found it so interesting and wondered by they got rid of classic items such as these. It is a fun outing for the entire family. I would say it's for little ones cause there are lots of breakables but for teens living in retro heaven, this is the place. read more

Friend took us here as a suggestion for a "something to do" experience and it was pretty cool. They had a great layout and was bigger than I expected it to be. So many different areas to explore and travel back down memory lane. Wide selection of all things from different walks of life. Parents, grandparents, even adult kids would find plenty of nostalgia here. Value for money seems pretty good at the thing I was curious about. This is by far one of my favorite antique malls to go to. They have a wide selection of merchandise at varying prices to keep you busy. I can't choose which floor is my favorite as this place has an upper area, main floor, and a basement type of place. Every time I go here I have to stop myself from buying something new haha. Still one of my absolute fave antique stores! I never fail to find something I love any time I visit, the staff are fantastic, the building itself is historic, and they offer free appraisal events. There's always something interesting going on at King Richard's - they do a lot of fun events and they really go all out for all the holidays. My most recent visit was in October and the Halloween decorations were SO FUN!! King Richard's is massive - 3-4 stories huge - so it was like walking through a giant haunted house museum style haha!! Definitely a great place to get into the spooky season mood and shop for decor and costumes. Prices vary widely among the vendors and are typically as expected - good deals can often be found but some can be kinda high. I also really love the layout and how all the "booths" are organized and presented. They all do a great job of showcasing their wares. A lot of them are designed like houses and feel like you're walking into someone's living room or a grand castle sitting room, complete with fireplace and suit of armor haha! There's even a huge room dedicated to religious artifacts and items - feels like stepping into an ancient church - I'd love to know how they obtain those artifacts lol! They're currently doing a bunch of construction/remodeling so the entrances have changed but it's still open. Parking can be tight - they have a private lot but the spaces are limited and very narrow. There's also free street parking in the surrounding area but tends to stay pretty packed. And they have a decent Mexican restaurant on site to round out your visit. read more

This is one of the best antique stores around, you can make a day out of visiting King Richard's. I really love and appreciate how much it's improved throughout the years. There are different levels and areas, there are so many collections and items. The areas are grouped by vendors that have items for sale, they have tags on their items with the vendors number on it. If you're a collector or have a love for anything vintage or antique, you will most likely find something to your liking at King Richard's. Every so often they have sales that can last for days or even weeks. Some vendors will have their items discounted anywhere ranging from 10 to 30 percent off. There is so much to look at here, spend the day here and visit the cafe adjacent to King Richard's or eat somewhere locally. There is a small parking lot but there's plenty of street parking as well. The entrance is free so it's fun to just go and browse which I've done plenty of times! Now we're collectors of specific items so it's fun to go hunting for them here or find the perfect items to add to our home. read more

One of your vendors saw what happened and came over to apologize for how she spoke to us. I know Kate is just an hourly wage earner, but you need to let her go. I own a big company and I've always preached that you can't train someone to be nice. You have to hire nice people. read more

I been a customer here for over 15 years , I haven been here for over a year until today at 2:00pm , but I left this place so disappointed, I saw a Barbie play set I liked for 45$ I asked a young lady to take it out of the showcase for me to purchased , when she took it out and I was ready to pay she told me it was 75$ , item had to tags with same item number , I told her I had a picture to proved item was 45 , the tag that said 75 had a message for counter but in the other side it had a old price , so she decides not to sell it to me for marked price and denied contacting seller because of new store policy the manager on the floor told me , this place used to have great customer service and people there were more polite girls there today treated me like they were doing me the favor . Sadly, fondfarewell to a favorite store that I recommend to my friends, family and co-wokers. I was profile by a white lady for carrying a "big bag" to the store. I have a tote bag medium size crossbody. I have been shopping at this antique store the past 2 years with no one ever mentioning my bag being an issue. I told the lady " I always shop here with the same purse and never have I been stopped". She said it's new policy being inforced because it's a problem. I told her, I'm not a problem and dont accuse me of stealing. I had so many sweet memories of this location, I truly considered this place a lost treasure in Whittier. The store is huge and I believe they're the biggest antique store in southern California! You could spend hours here slowly browsing at everything.
