The receptionist asked if it was a insta hot water tank. I said yes, it's a Mini Tank Water Heater. Note: These two tanks are the same except one heats faster and stays hot longer. The receptionist scheduled my appt. for the next day 06/17/2026. Plumber Michael came timely and was very nice. Micheal stared at the new tank for a minute then pulled out to manual. I asked Michael if he knew how to install this particular water heater tank. He said, "No". In other words, Michael did not know how do install this particular hot water tank. Why are you looking at the manual? He then stated, the tank was too large to install. MICHEAL STATED THE CHARGE FOR SERVICE WAS $195.00. I was shocked as Water Works Plumbing never quoted me a service fee or gave me an estimate. I then called Water Works Plumbing to tell them Michael did not do ANY work so why am being changed $195.00. The receptionist stated there is a service fee of $195.00 just to come out. I asked Water Work Plumbing if I returned the water heater tank for a smaller water heater tank today, could they come back tomorrow to install it, waive the service fee and just charge for the installation (labor). Water Works Plumbing said, "No". Water Works Plumbing charged me $195.00 plus 5% for using a debit/credit card totaling $204.75. I was forced to pay by card because Micheal could not take cash. I paid this ridiculous bill for 15 minutes of nothing . What a rip off. I will never use Water Works Plumbing again. As a previous Water Works Plumbing customer, I will be cutting ties with this business. SIDE NOTE: On 4/01/2026, Water Works Plumbing removed and kept the old 2.5 gallon water tank that they were replacing at the cost of, wait for it... $352.70. Should have learned then.

Owner has ZERO empathy. Read post from a recent Facebook share, dated 1/14/17…read more "My Father in Law worked for this company for 29 years, on 12-16 He had a massive heart attack. That day Mr.Pousho was blowing up my phone as well as my Mother in Law's phone demanding back the work truck, work cell, and uniforms. Mr Pousho also removed my Father in law from payroll. This header is attached to the letter my Father in law received that stated the service/install part of the company no longer exists, and that he (FIL) no longer has a job. The owner takes vacations about every other month, travelling all over the world, my FIL had not had a vacation in 8 years. Being as my FIL was the only installer and service person I am sure quite a few of you met him. Yes I have an attitude, but it is justified. Due to the owner not having another service/installer after finding out years ago FIL had a heart condition, my FIL had a quadruple bypass done Wednesday at U of M. Mr. Pousho, you sir are a disgrace, and a sad excuse for a person. I don't understand how you can have such a dedicated employee and not truly care."

I had a water heater go bad that was covered under the manufacturers warranty. I contacted the Poushou since they were a licensed plumber (warranty replacements can only be done by licensed plumbers )in my area that installs this particular brand of water heater. They said that I would only need to pay for labor on the install. I asked the man on the phone how much they charge per hour and he kindly told me $125 per hour. I also asked him long it would take to do the job and he said 2 or more hours. He said that a lot of the time was for draining the existing tank. I asked him if it would save time if I drained the tank myself and he said yes. I turned off the gas and water intake and drained the tank. When the technician arrived he handed me a bill for ~$420. I called the main office back prior to allowing them to start the work and he said that this was their quote. I complained and said that shouldn't they do the work first and charge me the hourly rate. He said that this was the charge including their transportation and disposal of the old tank. He told me that he mis spoke about the hourly rate and that the best he could do was lower it to $360. Upset and without an option I allowed the guy to do the work. 50 minutes later he was finished (the tech did a nice job on the install) I said that since it only took 50 minutes shouldn't the charge only be $125? He asked me to call the main office again. I did and they explained that this was their price and it cannot be lowered as per the hourly rate that he quoted me on the phone originally. I explained that he was there for 50 minutes and the $360 dollars is a high price for that little amount of work. I would recommend that you use another service. These people are not honest and cannot be trusted. I am sure they are fine plumbers but this doesn't mean that you can treat customers dishonestly. I actually had a leaky utility sink pump that I planned to ask the plumber to take a look at and decided that I would do the work myself instead of asking them to look at it. DO NOT USE THIS DIS HONEST COMPANY.

When Dan arrived, I had a long list of things I needed him to repair and told him which ones were the priorities. He went about all of them quickly, moving from one to the next, informing me of various things I needed to know as he went. The main issue I called him for was that the hot water no longer worked in the shower. I researched the problem on my own and figured out it was the cartridge on an older Delta faucet. Other plumbers I called said it would take weeks for them to get to me and/or that the part I needed was no longer produced and I would likely need an entire overhaul of my shower plumbing. One even had me call a parts store on their behalf to see if they had the cartridge in stock! All of this I say so that you understand what a relief it was to call Dan and have him tell me that of course they still make the part and he already had some loaded on his truck. He came out on 7/3/14 when others were busy with their Fourth of July plans. On top of all that, he was able to repair my existing cartridge. What a stand-up guy. He even came back out that same night at no extra charge when I called him to make an adjustment, and I live quite a ways from Holly. Plus, they accept credit and debit and will e-mail you a summary of the work done with a receipt. Very helpful!

I decided to sign up for the yearly service plan, because of the quality services that I receive from Kyle. My original assessment of Thornton grooms was a one star, but I've upgraded it to a five star based on this appointment that I had today. The only thing that I could recommend for future appointments is that Thornton and grooms provide a two hour window for serviceman to come out. Otherwise, I can highly recommend this company.

I said it seemed really high to charge $800 for a reverse osmosis faucet. I asked him to put the faucets back together and to talk with his manager about more reasonable pricing. He decided to get the pricing first. It was $600, $500, and $860, respectively, now. I said it was still high, but there was some value in getting it done today. I asked if he would be willing to check to see if the parts were in stock, and if they were, then I'd be willing to pay the high prices. He said he wouldn't do that because they probably were not in stock and he had spent to much time on my job without getting paid. I think they may work on commission. I also said while he was out talking to his manager that I learned my faucet company would send me a new cartridge for free. He asked why I didn't check before I came. Of course, I didn't know the problem until he told me during the service call. I know the one faucet is a nicer one (Waterstone), but the prices seemed outrageous. His attitude at the end when he realized he might not make a sale was the worst part of it, though.
