On my first stop at King Tire a technician told me, "Sir, you do not have one good tire on your car." My tires were new, but King was correct. I had purchased those tires from a towing company, and taken my car to Sears for alignment. When the alignment would not hold Sears told me I needed front end work. King put new tires on my vehicle and the problem was solved. King has served me over 20 years. They have several times told me, "You don't need new tires" when I thought I likely did. Terrible customer service. I have a Tesla that needed new tires, but I had purchased them through the Tesla app. My scheduled installation date was over a month away. While waiting on the new tires to arrive, I had picked up a nail in one of the old tires. I had plugged the tire myself and it was holding air, but since I still had to drive around on it for a few more week, I thought it'd be safer to get it patched. Since I work close to King Tire, I called them to explain the situation and asked if they could patch the tire. They said they could, so I took it in one morning. After waiting over on hour, they came out and told me that my tire couldn't be patched because the tread was so bare that it was leaking air out of numerous hole all around the tire and I had to purchase a new tire from them if I wanted to get back on the road. Cleary this was a lie, and they were only interested in selling me a tire. I continued to drive around on that tire they wouldn't fix for three weeks before my new tires arrived from Tesla, without putting air in it one time. My friends and I were driving from Memphis to Baxter, TN for a bachelorette day of fun when we discovered that the tire on the front passenger side had what we assumed was a slow leak. We frantically pulled onto the lot at King Tire and two gentlemen checked, discovered a nail that had been overlooked by the staff at Hertz Rental. They plugged it and didn't charge us a red cent! on 10/04/23 I went to King tire to replace a damaged tire on my Prius. They replaced the tire but charged me for 4 new tires. when I realized this I called and they verified that indeed they had charged for 4 tires instead of one and that they would reimburse me for the mistake. It is now 10/09/23 and my card has not been reimbursed for the three tires wrongfully charged. They were aware that I was traveling through Tennessee on my way to Maryland and took advantage of the fact that I would have little recourse. Travelers beware of King Tire in Tennesse. read more

I took my foreign car in because the AC was not blowing cold air. Left the car picked it up later. AC was working but only lasted less than 24 hr. $380.Took car back 3 days later told it needed some new parts that needed to be ordered. OK quoted a price of $600. Took car back about 5 days later new parts installed actual price $690. Told that they tried very hard but they just couldn't get the compressor to work. I now need a new Compressor. At this point I've already spent $1070. no AC. Quoted price for installation and new compressor approximately $750. I'm no mechanic but I wonder if the initial diagnosis was incorrect.. read more

I've been to all locations. The Old Hickory location is the biggest and busiest. I had a tire signal go off at 4:00pm. They rolled it in and fixed it quickly. It cost @25.00 to patch the tire, but the speed and quality is worth it. I sent my 95 year old dad to the Humboldt King Tire store, and he raved abo ut the service. Nothing ever pleases dad, but they sure did. He got a free cap and was treated royally. read more

I definitely DO NOT recommend King Tire! I took my vehicle to the Airways location for suspension work. I picked it up and the engine was knocking! They employees tried to tell me that they did not touch my engine, yet told me they topped my oil off! Last time I checked the oil was under hood, which shouldn't have been touched (unless you know you messed it up) After spending $2200 my motor is now locked up! We popped a tire while road tripping back to the east coast for our wedding and King Tire (with the help of AAA) got us fixed up and back on the road ASAP! They even drove out to get us a tire hey didn't have in stock. The staff (shout out to Kurt and Adam) were incredibly friendly and welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. Don't go to King tire on old Hickory Blvd.. they mis diagnosed my car they first told me that I had bad calipers and hoses so they replaced them as soon as I left my calibers seized again my brakes was over heating they then said it was defected calibers so they replaced them again the same thing happened again they told me it was defected hoses so they replaced them again the hoses collapsed I was very frustrated with their poor service I took my car to another shop and they diagnosed my car correctly it was the proportional valve and I didn't have any more problems SO BEWARE KING TIRE ON OLD HICKORY they got amateur mechanics working there. I will never return to any King Tire location. We had AC service, and upon reviewing g the detailed bill they used 9 cans of dye. Nine cans! The repair was expecting site and lasted about 60 days. The front end alignment was arguably never completed, because the tread has worn unevenly. On another vehicle a year prior, they replaced parts without asking and asked me to pay. read more

These people are scam artists and do not appreciate their customers. Charged me 350$ in labor for a part they did not install, then tried to lie to me and say it did not fit my car (contacted the manufacturer and have proof that it does fit), did not offer refund, and then told me they did not want my business anymore because he (owner) did not like people questioning his technicians. Also told my parents he did not want their business either (25+ years with them). HUGE MISTAKE lol. I will spend as much time as possible to keep people from frequenting this horrible place. I deliver sushi for Asia Garden during the week. King Tire has been servicing my vehicles for over a decade. I bought a new vehicle to transport my children back and forth to town each weekend from selmer. I wanted to have something that was more comfortable, reliable and more safe for them to ride in during the weekends. Upon having some tire work done on my new vehicle I asked them to change the oil in it as well. I drove it home and parked it until my next trip to get my girls. When I started it the following Friday before my trip it sounded like it was going to explode. The detailed message on the display screen said to shut the engine off immediately and contact the dealer. I did.. I had it towed to the dealer for them to look at. They assessed the situation and came to a conclusion that king tire had misplaced one on the internal pieces of the oil filter housing that holds the filter in place. In turn the engine was trying to suck the filter into the engine and not allowing any circulation of oil. To replace the housing and fix the issue was $190 at Toyota with a $50 tow fee from genes wrecker. Needless to say Mr King will not reimburse me any of this money or give me future credit toward any purchase. I was out the vehicle for a week while waiting for parts. This is absolutely rediculous. I expect more ethical customer service from this group of guys..... that's bad form, Poor Job Mr. King.. $240 isn't squat to you.. this is your responsibility to take care of buddy, think of the people a little lower on the totem pole.. I wasn't asking for much, just ethical service... you won't get it here anymore, he's lost his touch read more
