We have used Kingdom since about 2009. Unfortunately the level of care our last visit has declined to a level where we are shopping for a new vet. Between the time we got the call to pickup our dog and arriving in person the instructions and prognosis were drastically different. The receptionist was left to deliver the new information and we had to ask to speak to Dr Bouton twice. We still weren't offered an official consultation. Our "consultation " was delivered in the lobby. Furthermore the supposedly severely adhered "tumor" fell out of the dog's mouth on the way home. After speaking with the practice owner and hearing multiple excuses I think the level of professionalism, or lack of, starts at the top. I suppose every practice changes and it's unfortunate to see the decline. I would highly recommend seeking veterinary care elsewhere. read more

They really seem to care about the animals. Some places are all about the money, but not these guys. Our cat with diabetes was really sick and we had pretty much hit our limit as far as what we could afford to spend and they agreed to do whatever they could to save him. I've been a customer at Kingdom Animal Hospital since 2010, Dr. Alexander Pruitt is an evil, emotionless and an extremely unprofessional bitch who doesn't need to be working around zero dogs. My dog was scheduled for a surgery she put him under anesthesia which takes two hours before he wakes up she literally tried to kick my dog out after 30 minutes. Once my dog finally woke up she literally drug my dog to the car and slammed the door in his face when I call Dr. William Knight the guy who owns the place he literally hung the phone up in my face without zero cares in the world. Last month, my other dog was scheduled for a surgery. I heard all the vet technicians saying that they really wish I would take my dogs somewhere else and that they really don't want to board my dog. One of the other vet technicians were talking about this boy mother who died, saying that they didn't want to board his dog because his dog was untrainable. Last year in July, I boarded my two dogs and both of them came back with fleas and dermatitis of the skin when I asked why my dog's had fleas and what was wrong with their skin they told me that nothing was wrong. They hadn't bath my dogs and my dogs had been in the kennel all week long without being walk he was extremely hungry and thirsty. Five years ago in 2019 Dr. Alexandra Pruitt literally choked my dog for a whole minute because my dog was puppy at the time and he was extremely active. I call Dr. William Knight and he did nothing about it. They will hire anybody at the Kingdom Animal Hospital all the ladies up here are dressed unprofessional they have facial piercings they have tattoos they come in with energy drink, Starbucks drinks they never say hello good morning. How was your day? How can I help you? They will have you in the waiting room waiting for over 30 minutes before they say anything to you anytime somebody come in and tell them that they need to grab a patient file they will set for a few minutes before they get up, if you call the phone to schedule an appointment or reschedule, they put you on hold for a long time and they will talk about you in the background . read more

Staff are polite and considerate, and the doctors know what they're doing. I've been taking my pet rabbit Oliver here for about 4 months now. My rabbit has had a lot of issues, out of both his and my control, but they have been taking great care of him. He has grown abscess' and tumors which all had to be removed through surgery, and we all know putting a beloved pet under is so nerve racking, but I've never been worried about him being sedated here which he has about 4 times now (his previous vet sedated him once and he went into cardiac arrest which was very scary). They have been with me every step of the way while trying to get my poor bun back on his feet. Dr. Lara, the exotic vet, is very knowledgeable and on top of things. I feel very comfortable with her as my vet. Though Dr. Pruett is not Oliver's primary vet since she does not specialize in exotics, she recently removed a tumor that grew within a week on my poor guy's chest when Dr. Lara was out of the country. Both the staff and vets are reliable, professional, and just overall great human beings. I definitely recommend this place for all your fur babies! read more

NEGATIVE stars. Worst animal hospital i have ever been to. The place is unsanitary with old and dirty supplies/machines/kennels. They also leave dangerous objects (scissors/needles) out near the dogs and don't clean their work area!! Vet technicians and doctors (Pruitt/Lara) are callous/heartless and completely neglectful. Animals who are even admitted overnight only receive care every several hours and can even go up to 15 hours without any care on weekends. The way they treat animals is actually inhumane. Would absolutely never recommend this hospital as it only allows you to pay to watch your pets die. They have no remorse for their neglect whatsoever. It should also be noted that a lot of the pleasant reviews from earlier in the years were related to staff who are no longer there. This is what tricked me into trusting Kingdom. I hope everyone who sadly considers this hospital learns which new doctor will be treating their pet so they can understand the past good reviews are not relevant to current service. read more

So quick to judge the way it looks but I never felt more relieved at a Vet's office! Last year when my Cat had injured herself, I took her here for the first time practically in tears because my baby was hurting. They were so sweet and gentle with her and fixed her right up in a heartbeat! They're also relatively cheap compared to other Vet's offices so it's great for those of us on a tight budget! I will start of by saying Dr. Lara who is one of the Vet Doctors in the clinic is very rude and unwelcoming person. I recently visited the Clinic for reproduction services on my 2 females who were in heat and male rottweiler. Each visit I had Dr Lara seemed unhappy and rude to be working it seemed like, I know we all choose where we work, and she seemed not happy with her job. When we came in to visit, she made rude comment about our dogs who are well kept and stay hydrated and fed being outside in the Tx heat. She was upset that I only had one leash for two of our dogs when visiting the clinic and having to leave one in the clinic room and grabbing the other pup with the same leash (yet the vet has tons of leashes to use to help with this matter. I don't think she is knowledgeable in the reproduction side of the business nor giving 1st time owners any advice to help with this other than what I am doing wrong and being upset about it. If it wasn't for being the only reproduction clinic in the Bryan/College Station area, I would never use them again. I did not get any feedback on when to return for ultrasound for one of my females or what to expect. Other than price for C-Section, sounds like the clinic is only after taking hard worked earned money than giving informational advice and helping dog owners. read more

As well as having an unexpected litter, I was able to have all of the kits checked and were all healthy. The staff is the best and always willing to help. Reading other reviews and im shocked. I find the guys that work here to be amazingly sensitive to mine and my dogs needs. Dr. Knight is the most amazing doctor ever! When we moved a year ago to Austin, we had to stop on our way out to say goodbye. He was actually out of the office with his wife about to give birth to their baby- so left a note for him and cried my eyes out! My dog developed cancer and Dr. Knight was so amazing at treating her! He did not have much previous experience with treatment but he was very great at consulting other doctors who did have previous experience with cancer treatment. He gave me the options and then we went for it. We did chemo and surgeries to remove the tumors the first time around and then when more tumors started popping up, we realistically took a look at her treatment and he suggested that we not pursue chemo because he knew it was already a stretch to continue having the surgieries and it not really needed. I like how he was realistic with us on all options for her treatment. I totally trust him, without a doubt in the care of my dog. Also has the best bedside manner. He loved my dog and that was obvious and always came in and sat on the floor with her during the visits. My dog also spent a lot of time kenneled here due to me traveling for my job. She always looked forward to seeing the staff there and they loved her too. Everyone knew her name when I walked in the door and I love how safe I felt leaving her there. DON'T GO HERE. Until just recently, Kingdom Animal has been a go-to Vet for my family and I for years. My 12 year old heeler mix, Rylie, has been taken here since she was a puppy, and she recently started experiencing some issues. I took her here expecting the best, but come to find out I got the worst service as well as advice. I had blood drawn for some tests on Rylie, when they came back they told me she was dying, and they strongly suggested to euthanize. This information was all relayed to me over the phone, while I was at work. I was ecstatic, I broke down and couldn't hold myself together. I asked questions and was very confused considering Rylie had been acting her normal self. It seemed as if the Vet was getting very frustrated and annoyed with all my questions. She was very short with me and didn't go into depth with the information I was receiving. I didn't feel like they cared about me or Rylie AT ALL. Everyone I seemed to talk to during my visits were short and rude, I was placed on hold several times trying to get to the bottom of her results and no one seemed to know what was going on, or what they were talking about. They said I could try steroids, but eventually she would need to be put down. Clearly not happy with her outcome, I reached out to another clinic, Bryan Animal Clinic. The vet allowed me to come inside, she sat down on the ground with me while I cried, and comforted me during the process as she listening to what Rylie has been going though. After all the information on Rylie, they gave me SEVERAL options on how to handle her condition.They asked tons of questions and gave me so much information on Rylie's condition and what all of her options were. She is now on a new prescription and I have high hopes. I will no longer be using Kingdom Animal Hospital, I will try to keep as many people away from using this Vet. read more

Doctor Pruitt does not care about her customers or the animals she works with. I have taken 5 different females to get impregnated and she made me get multiple progesterone test every time every 2 days. Most recently she recommend me go head and ship my semen in & after getting it in she didn't check my dogs levels again and just did the TCI i paid hundreds of dollars getting the semen over nighted and also doing progesterone tests. Now a month after the TCI she is saying my dog isn't pregnant. And she tried covering up her mistake by saying i shouldn't get semen out of the United States. Which didn't make sense because she looked at the sperm under a microscope and said it was extremely good semen and we should go ahead with it. The only reason she might not be pregnant is because she didn't do another progesterone test before impregnating her. Now she wants to make excuses which is just insane. I've spend thousands of dollars at this vet and the past 2 females i have take to her has been a horrible experience i would not take your dog here to get impregnated she is just in it for the money and it shows!!! read more

If I could chose 0 stars I would. The "Dr" is rarely around so you're left to deal with vet techs. Worst animal hospital I have ever heard of! They leave animals unchecked for hours on end, especially on the weekends, where a sick animal could sit in their own feces and excrement for HOURS! You have to constantly monitor your own pet & even when they are notified of an issue, they do not full investigate the situation themselves. Oh and they'll dispose of your pet cremains without contacting you even if they have a signed form stating you want your pets cremains. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Your pet is worth it! read more

Dr. Bump stayed late to help me with my poor litter foster kittens. She and her staff were so helpful, answering all my questions, addressing my concerns, and handling my sick babies. The staff instructed me on how to bottle force-feed them, how to give them IV fluids and instructed me in giving two different medicines and how to mix formula. They even taught me how to roll them into a burrito (using a towel) to keep them still while I administer medications. When I was leaving Dr. Bump ran out and stopped my car to remind me to put a towel between the kittens and the heating pad, and to set it on low. Two thumbs way up! read more

Dr. Bump and her staff were absolutely amazing. We came in from out of town on a family emergency and ended up with our dog having an emergency. It was just after 12PM on a Saturday when they typically close(most vets don't have Saturday hours) and they squeezed us in. They were very accommodating, and gave us everything we needed to be on our way. They even gave us notes and a slide of the cells from her infection to take back to our vet. The cost was extremely reasonable and the care was amazing. I highly recommend this vet. read more

These Vets & their staff are wonderful. Our dog got very sick before we were to leave town for a funeral. He saw Dr Lara, as Dr Bump his regular Vet was on a family vacation. After examining him, Dr. Lara called Dr. Bump on her vacation, they consulted and treatment was started. He was hospitalized while we were out of town. Over the weekend, Dr. Knight called us several times to give us updates on his condition. We were so pleased and grateful for the treatment our little guy received by all at Kingdom. We have been clients of theirs for 12 years and wouldn't think of going elsewhere unless referred by them. On that note, when a specialist is required, as has been the case several times, they do not hesitate to refer us to one. We highly recommend this group. read more

Best office ever. Once you're an established client they'll take your calls at any hour, they respond promptly, they'll fit your pet in even if it's a super tight schedule. You should know they're almost always busy, but Dr. Lara and Dr. Pruett are extremely skilled providers and worth any wait. They offer the best prices in the BCS area- I know because they were my fourth clinic. I loved them so much I continued to see this office when I moved 90 minutes away, and I'm so sad to leave them as I've now moved even further away. My dogs are old with many complications and I have no doubt they would've passed away sooner without this clinic's great prices and even better service. The vet techs in the front know me by name when I walk in and truly, I can't say enough about this clinic. They have specialists come in when they need to, and going through this clinic I saved 2000$ on a TPLO surgery compared to going to a different clinic with the same specialist. I have a rabbit named bailey, and we recently took her to get spayed to this vet. Yes the vet does smell like animals, but it's not terrible. The people that work there are all friendly and got bailey in their schedule to get spayed in about a week from when I called them. We dropped her off in the morning and picked her up that afternoon! Easy! Bailey had some trouble eating and drinking afterwards at home, so the next day we got her right in for some more pain meds and fluids. Good service for a good price.
