My…read moretypical barber in the Bay was booked, so I decided to hop on Yelp to find something on the way, and that lead me here. Walk-ins at Bay Area barber shops are hard to find. Luckily EJ was available to line up my face and he did a wonderful job. He lined up my mustache and when I asked for a straight razor shave finish, he was able to take care of me right away. I didn't ask how much the service was before sitting down and when EJ told me $10, I was blown away. It's 2.5x more for the same service up in the Bay. I didn't have any cash, but luckily he took Venmo/cash app for payment. I've been to to a few barber shops in the bay where the customer service is next to nothing. Not here! If I lived in the area, I would definitely give EJ a try for a haircut. He was kind, courteous, and did a great job.

A Jedi Master of the shears named Ryan answered the call and agreed to fit me into his cut schedule. Upon entering the establishment, I didn't find a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but rather a warm, lively cantina atmosphere. Young padawans and elder Jedi masters alike were filling the chairs, creating a vibrant, community vibe that instantly made me feel right at home. A few operational notes for fellow travelers: The Credits: They strictly accept cold, hard republic credits (cash only). However, you won't need to hire a bounty hunter to find some--they have an ATM built right into the shop's console so you don't have to wander out into the dune sea. Starship Parking: Navigating the local asteroid field to find a parking spot was a bit of a challenge, but I successfully navigated the coordinates and touched down right on time for my appointment. I normally have what is called a circular beard, what people usually (and incorrectly) call mustache and goatee. My mustache and beard are connected, while mustache and goatee are not (thus the word "and"). Tim preserved the beard perfectly while shaving the rest of my face exactly as I specified, and well beyond the quality of any previous shave in my life. He and the other personnel in the shop were also incredibly nice and polite; a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A shave here is not inexpensive, but it is definitely a "royal" experience, both in manner in which I was treated and the results. While I couldn't afford it regularly, this shave is splurge worthy for special occasions.

At first, I assumed it was my products, so I switched to color-safe shampoo and conditioner and changed my routine before concluding there was a bigger issue. I recently had to pay for an additional treatment with another stylist because my hair had become so dry and brittle. This wasn't my first experience with similar issues after seeing this stylist, and I've never had this level of breakage after having my hair colored by other stylists. What disappointed me the most was the customer service. When I initially reached out, I was offered a refund. After explaining the condition of my hair, that refund was later withdrawn because it had been two months and I had seen another stylist. However, I only saw another stylist because I was trying to repair the condition of my hair. I also don't typically have my hair colored every few weeks it's usually several months between appointments so the damage wasn't immediately obvious to me. I understand that all color services carry risks, but I was disappointed that my concerns were ultimately dismissed after a refund had already been offered. This time he was getting a bit of a different hair style, going from more of a faux hawk mullet to a medium fade in the back and bangs that were just out of his eyes. My son walks around the corner to get his towel and shampoo treatment and I just started balling. I had to leave and hide in the car until my husband paid and came out with him. I needed time to calm down because I didn't want to complain and make him feel self conscious about his hair that he is stuck with for a while. That lady messed up my son's hair... BAD. I am writing this review because my son has been miserable for the past 2 days because of this haircut. He is 6 and has been hiding behind hats and hoodies because of how ugly he feels.
