Sydney did an amazing job at fixing my nails previously done by another salon. The acrylic looks so natural and flat (not thick/yellow tinge from the last salon). Let me start by saying, I never write reviews, but my experience with Lia Rivera was so awesome AGAIN, that I had to let everyone know so you can go see her! Not only is she very professional, educated and talented, but she is very patient and thorough; she will take the time to answer all your questions and go over every step of the way with you. All in all, for someone who's never done any drastic changes to her hair and was a bit nervous, Lia makes you feel excited and confident that you'll look great! She loves what she does and it shows through her work. When I went to see her last week I got the keratin treatment and 22" ombré extensions. Now let me tell you, Iv been going to Lia for both treatments for a while now, and she's the only one I trust. Because it works! Iv gotten the keratin done in Hawaii where I currently live and the humidity took over. I waited a year till I was able to come home to Vacaville so I could get it re-done by the best!! Now I'm back in Hawaii and my hair is still straight! Which is really impressive because of the humidity and my naturally puffy, curly hair. I have gotten so many compliments on my ombré extensions. This rating is for the overall environment of the salon as well as nail service since I have not gotten my hair done here. Salon is spacious, clean, and inviting. From the outside you would not realize just how big the salon is inside. There are lots of hair stations and stylist working in the salon. I also noticed that they have a threading technician, I thread my eyebrows so I"ll have to give their girl a try. She was in there working when I got my nails done last and seems very pleasant and professional. Now for the nail service: Tina is amazing! Normally at three weeks after getting my nails done they would be lifting because I am constantly washing my hands and they get very dry. They still look great and aren't even close to lifting. Tina took her time with me, I didn't feel rushed like at those other nail chop shops that herd you in and out like cattle. I brought in a picture of a nail design that I wanted and Tina made it happen. During my service Tina was friendly and easily made me feel comfortable with her conversation which was personal without being overly noisy. I have seen Mackenzie a few times for highlights and touch ups and she does a great job. But, I was really impressed when I brought in my 10 month old son for his first hair cut. She used scissors, not the buzzer which can scare kids and make them cry, and was so relaxed with him. He did not cry at all, and she was able to work around the squirming to achieve a great, evenly blended cut. We are very happy! Recommend Mackenzie for adult cuts and color, and baby/kids cuts. read more

Didn't like my service unfortunately. I wanted to like it, but-- let's just say the owner said she'd call me back to resolve it, but didn't. My hair got fried. I got left with a perm solution that burnt my scalp. The gal that did my hair left me in the bowl longer than I was suppose to. I tried calling her as she was conversing with a friend. I know how sensitive time can be for a perm- this was a redo. She tried to fix it by the crown of my head, but she switched the style of spiral curls I originally wanted to a regular perm. She used the smallest rods. I did everything that I was told. I did not wash my hair for 72 hours. Anyways-- she focused and agreed to just do the crown of my head. It sadly messed up my spiral curls on the bottom and straightened some curls all around. The perm didn't take well and she pulled the rods wrong, and my hair sounded crunchy! I cringed as she pulled it out wrong. Point is, I've gotten several perms. I know how the process is. The gal was just trying to get the job done, but unfortunately the work wasn't cute! I don't know... she just said buy your own conditioners etc. She would do it again and fix it, but just charge me the original price again. Personally, I am very unsatisfied. The lady seriously messed up my hair leaving me hanging in the sink. I expressed to her that I look like a cavewoman sadly. It is the worst perm I've ever experienced! At least give me back 50% of my money. Just trying to be fair. What do you think Yelpers?? Oh, by the way-- the owner read my Yelp, and she acted like she didn't know the issue. She got caught lying at the end of our conversation. I called her out on it. She didn't want to help. She was unapologetic. She was very rude. What great customer service. When I moved to Vacaville in June 2010, I was weary of finding a new hairstylist. I decided on Tasaris and booked the first open appointment, which was with Tamika. I have been getting my hair highlighted and trimmed by her ever since! Now even my mother-in-law goes to Tamika for her hair. She's great! I followed Tina, my manicurist from another salon to Tasaris and she is also fantastic! My WOW moment came for my wedding...when I booked Tamika and upon her suggestion JoEllen to do my hair/makeup and all my 5 bridesmaids. Tamika and JoEllen drove 1.5 hours to our venue...and were there on time, even early! Most of my girls (including myself) had never had their hair and makeup formally done and we were kind of weary. Tamika and JoEllen blew everyone away. They did such an amazing job as a team and girls who initially did not want hair or makeup done were squeezed in at the last minute because they had seen how good the other girls looked! Tamika and JoEllen took time to understand each "look" we were going for and nailed it! I got SO many compliments on my hair and makeup that night...I felt like a F*****G princess! Sometime back while shopping around for a new hair stylist, I made an appointment at Tasaris and got Kiara and she is great! I've been back to her 3 times now and she always makes me feel like one of those hair commercials where the girls flip their hair shines in the sun. She is now the only one I go to / trust with my hair. She listens to what I want, deals with all my Pinterest pictures, and let's me know how to get there without destroying my hair. She's taken me from sun kissed highlights to full on blonde highlights which I love and gotten tons of compliments on (I haven't done this in years due to a bad highlight job). Went in the next day to have the owner fix it and she didn't even apologize and said "she had a rough day yesterday and didn't feel good".. That does NOT give anybody the right to mess up someone's hair!!!!! My hair still looks terrible. In the back its cut straight across and the sides go straight down. When you google the hair cut its supposed to be smooth from long to short to long again. I will NEVER go here again. HUGE MISTAKE. read more

Tasaris Le Salon in Vacaville has some of the most talented and skilled hair stylists one could ever hope to find. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. If you're looking to break up with your current salon (or have your hair done for the first time), Tasaris will not disappoint you. I've been seeing JoEllen regularly for almost five years now. For all the times I've been cut and colored, I have never left feeling like I didn't get what I requested. She always knows exactly what I'm talking about--even when I have a hard time explaining it. She knows what's best for my hair in terms of style AND keeping it healthy. The salon is clean, beautifully decorated, and has a comfortable atmosphere. They use only high-quality products and styling tools. Parking is available in the "back" of the salon in a medium-sized parking lot (same location where Bowman's Stationers used to be). Finally, their prices are extremely fair and moderate, even for those of you with long hair like me! Tasaris is a lovely salon with lovely people, and I will continue going--even if I move out of Vacaville! ***A "brief" anecdote about my first Tasari's experience...*** The first time I met JoEllen was the day after a hair disaster. I was 19 and extremely naive--first, I had used at-home hair color to dye my naturally brown hair black. I missed several spots in the back and needed it touched up. To "save money," I chose a "salon" near my work in the outlet mall. Cheri at the Beauty Outlet assured me she could touch up my hair by stripping it of the black and restoring it to its natural state. I ended up with patches of bleach blond, black, dark brown, medium brown ... when I asked Cheri what I should do, she suggested: "just wear your hair in a ponytail for about 4 weeks and then we'll try again." Um, I don't think so. The next day I did some research online for reputable salons in the area. I called Tasaris and they were able to get me in right away. JoEllen was able to not only repair the damage that Cheri had caused on my hair, but she was also able to get me the color I had originally wanted in the first place! It was an amazing save! Needless to say, I love the staff at Tasaris. Also, avoid the Beauty Outlet salon and Cheri AT ALL COSTS (who I believe is now at Vogue Salon here in town). She not only suggested I wear my hair in a ponytail after she destroyed it, but she also charged me full price for the appointment (and I paid--again, I was 19 and very naive!). read more

My 100th review will go to Tamika at Tasaris Le Salon in Vacaville! I started going here 7 months ago and I'm in love with the actual salon and their staff. Tamika is super awesome and has a wonderful personality. She works long hours so it's fairly easy to schedule another appointment with her. Tamika is very knowledgeable in styles and colors so it's easy to explain what you want done to your hair. The shop is very clean and well maintained with beautiful interior decor. What I really appreciate at the salon are the hair-washing stations. The sinks aren't low so your neck isn't being strained when the hair stylist washes & rinses out your hair. The atmosphere to the salon is very upbeat and they staff seem to have very flexible schedules to accomodate their customer's needs. My first appointment with Tamika was at 7am! I definitely recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a new shop or is unhappy with their current stylist. I have been getting my nails done on and off since high school (for almost ten years now) and Tina is the best manicurist in Vacaville. I get gel nails now (she has an awesome selection of colors & does the most creative, unique nail art!), but Tina does acrylic too. My nails have never looked better. I have been going to Tina for about 6 months now and have never had a nail break or crack (and I get fills every 3 weeks, not every other). Aside from looking great, the service is wonderful. I was introduced to this salon because I followed my favorite hair stylist, Leah Silva. The staff here are all friendly, and appear to be knowledgable (they never seem to have an empty chair, and the people always leave looking fantastic). While I don't use the other many services they offer, everyone that does seem to be pleased. Leah is my favorite though. She's super friendly (we seriously talk about EVERYTHING), and always knows what will "work" with my hair. I looked around for a few years before I found her, I'm super picky, and like to do lots of different things with color...so to find someone that I can brainstorm with, and trust, is a huge deal for me. I have been seeing Stacy for several months now and I have comment on how beautiful the salon is and how friendly everyone there is. What I like about Stacy is how honest and upfront she is when I try to convey something to her. She is very sincere and warm. She pays attention to details like making sure all the color is off my skin when I walk out the door and she just goes above and beyond with a big smile. Last night Stacy only charged me for a hair cut since she wasn't happy with the coloring of my hair since we have been working on it for a while now. I think it is wonderful of her to do something that wasn't necessary but that is proof she believes in customer satisfaction. I would also like to point out that I also see Sandy with Skin Works By Sandy (located conveniently in Tasaris Le Salon) and she is the BEST esthetician I have ever had and I had been getting my facials in Berkeley for years. Sandy has the nicest personality and I am so comfortable with her that I have been getting fully body salt scrubs and brazilian waxes with her.
