Our son felt very comfortable with the staff - and definitely enjoyed the healthy/delicious meals, music class (we found he LOVES drums and guitar) and socializing. The facility is clean, beautiful, secure - and as parents (including my wife), we felt comfortable at work during the day knowing he was in a safe, secure, productive and nurturing environment. One aspect of the many I LOVED was they send pictures throughout the day - and this was especially important for me as a parent who worries. It was reassuring to get photos of my son smiling/playing - and put my worries at ease. This is also a testament to the teachers - who are top notch working with the babies/kids, but also great at communicating with parents. They do parent/teacher conferences! I was very impressed with all of the staff. I could go on and on about how much we loved Lucciola - but I will end with a note to the owners/operators (Katrina/Ammy). Children does a lot of independent activities, make friends and do a lot of indoor/outdoor play. Compared to other daycare, we feel that the teachers genuinely care and love the children. The outdoor play area is beautiful and full of fun activities, I love how all of said activity centers and structures (teepee, playhouse, swings and many more) are set up with the intention to promote team work, sharing and inclusive games. Inside - the cosy, newly remodeled classroom holds heaps of Montessori activities, puzzles, sorters, toys, books and everything the kids could ever want or need. As we conclude our final week at Action Day Lincoln, I wanted to take a moment to formally express my appreciation for two amazing programs that they hosted. The first was the Multicultural Celebration on 2/19/26. I was pleased to see it organized, but I didn't think I would have time to attend. When I arrived that evening for pick up, our child was excited about trying to visit some of the wonderful stations. We only stayed for a short time, but the experience of my child getting a Passport to get stamped at the different country stations and try food and learn about each country was so positive and uplifting. I was so honored to be a part of the Action Day community beautifully representing the diversity and value that each family brings into it. The second was the Innovation Night on 3/19/26. After the experience of the Multicultural Celebration, I made an effort to ensure we had time to explore and enjoy the experience. We spent more time during this event and it was both fun and informative for the children. I could say more about why these events were so impactful, but I'll simply express that the demonstration of inclusion and innovation were so well organized that I can honestly say that they were the two best events I've attended in the almost 10 years we've been with Action Day. He was in Action Day's infant program from the time he was 5 months until he was 1, then we took a short break and now he's back as a 1.5 years old. I'm writing this review because I had a hard time finding information about how daycares handle food allergies when I was looking through reviews myself. Jamie has done so much to help us feel confident sending our son (who is severely allergic to milk and eggs) to daycare. She worked out plans to keep him safe during meal time when other toddlers are eating his allergens, and ensured staff were all trained in how to handle allergic reactions. She even visited the local fire department to inform them about the severity of his allergies and ensure they were prepared to find their way around the campus should they ever need to. Additionally, our son has a great time every day and all of his teachers have been attentive, warm, professional, and easy to communicate with! Shout out to his current teacher, Miss Maria, who takes extra care to apply lotion to him all day long and does frequent diaper changes to keep his eczema at bay.
