I originally got in touch with them last year to do some work and was very, very pleasantly surprised. This family crew is professional, prompt, punctual, courteous, polite, informative, and any other superlative you can think of. Not to mention the price seemed almost too low, that's never a bad thing, especially in today's economy! Vincent from D'Ambruoso came out last year and again recently and as usual did fantastic work. He explained everything in simple terms for me and unlike some others we've worked with, I didn't feel talked down to. I was very pleased with their work and when we needed them to come back to the house, I didn't hesitate to reach out again. He was able to come back out in a week and fix a leak in the basement by changing some pipes out. Vincent also took a look at some other issues we had and offered recommendations on how to fix them. I left a message on their phone Sunday morning, got a text back later in the day, and provided them with all the info they needed. They had a quote for me by 8:30 Monday, were here by 9:30, and completed the job by 11:00. While the price was at the high end of my expectation, it was worth it as they were friendly, helpful, personable and efficient. I have already recommended them to several friends, and will use them for any future plumbing/heating needs.

Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

In any case they sent over a plumbing apprentice and electrical apprentice to do the job which they charged me an arm and a leg for they had to redo much of the work under the supervision over the phone from the plumber, who was supposed to be on the job. Every time there was a problem I called over to the plumbing department and said hey this has happened and the guy doesn't know what to do. PS that plumbing work failed and my son and his best friend fixed it as my son used to work for my construction company so I am very familiar with Plumbing. Naturally, we decided not to go back to Simple Energy because we were so disgusted with their work and because the dispatcher was so incredibly rude to me over the phone. He complained that I was spying on his worker while the worker was at my house and I just closed it. I had cameras and of course the cameras are monitored so hello. What he was mad was is that I knew he sent me someone who was really not qualified to do the work . In any case I had put this ridiculously bad Plumbing experience behind us when today a Simple energy propane truck drove through my backyard after delivering Propane to my next-door neighbor. I called Shawn at Simple Energy And said this was not acceptable especially because the driver didn't see me and almost hit me and our puppy as he zoomed through my backyard. You can't trespass you can't drive across my yard, especially if you're not delivering to me two strikes against the company. Didn't receive the report for another six hours though they claimed they sent it hours earlier. Maybe this business has been great before, and will be great again, but because I specifically chose this company based on their reviews, I had to provide an account of my experience.

Very prompt reply (we're talking a matter of hours after I first reached out to them). Any decisions made during the project were quick. They were always reachable by phone.
