Great customer service, well maintained course, challenging and fun. Loved some of the original themes too. I would absolutely recommend this for a family outing.

If your looking to kills some time then look no more! I believe there are two different courses, I stopped at the end of our holes. Old fashioned family fun at its finest. I was impressed with how they've preserved most of their statues. Still looks old timey, I like that feel for some reason. It's right off the main road so hold those babies close. Parking along residential streets, but it gets busy during the summer.

Wrapped up our Sunday Funday with a showdown of mini golf at this unique 63 year family operated, two 19-hole courses set amongst beautiful trees in Kings Beach. Staff greeted us immediately with walking us through the different pricing options with prices easy on the pocket book at $9pp for 19-holes and the second round an additional $5, they even had an option to Super Size for an extra $3 bucks to play all 38 holes - now that's a GREAT deal! or you can opt for a day pass of $20 to play as many rounds during the day as you like. They also asked us which FUN golf ball we would like to select as they have one of the most crazyyy, fun selections we have ever seen. We chose our FUN golf ball, Super Sized of course and the competition between the hubby and I was on LOL Each hole offered fun different ways to try to get your golf ball in and there were trivia throughout the property on golf, Tahoe, and facts that I won't give away for your trip to the course. We truly enjoyed the nostalgia of the different designs on the course, that some dated back to the late 50s, and the music played that kept us smiling ear to ear as me putted our way through our game. We were excited to see what was around at the next turn for trivia or fun fact and if we could get a hole in one, less strokes than the other person or figure out the fun way to putt per the different instructions. Look forward to coming back with family and friends veryyy soon! Fave hole for me the fire hydrant (sitting, laughing non-stop - you will understand when you go) and the slot machine (come on hole in one) anddd we LOVED the golf balls!! Anddd no matter what the hubs says, I AM the mini golf champ LOL

A family day of miniature golfing, why not! We wanted to check out Kings Beach and this place was across the street from the lake. We've decided to let the kiddies play while my Husband and I tried to remain in the shade on a hot day. $9 per person to play, not bad. All 3 of my kids enjoyed it! Got in a few laughs, the kids had a blast! Luckily, the courses were really well shaded with all the trees around us. It kept us cool while we enjoyed the kiddies go at it trying to figure out each course and the best method to get the ball in the hole. These courses were small, perfect for little one's first time at golfing, I know my 2 year old had fun! If you're in the area and want to kill some time, come on by this place, and make some memories!

My family and I were on a trip to Tahoe and came across this amazing and unique mini golf course. I believe the place has been in business for more than 60 years and boasts two 18 hole courses. From choosing a unique and fun ball (I grabbed the Star Wars Death Star) to the local holes, it will be fun for all ages. Our group was four adults and we all had a great time!

This woman in the sunglasses turned a beautiful day in Tahoe to a horrible one.

We arrived a little before 12 pm and were greeted by an employee. For the golf course selection, there are 3 options to choose from (but one course was currently closed). We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.

The courses are beautifully set under mature trees, with water features throughout that make it feel cool, relaxing, and honestly kind of magical. What really sets it apart is how well it's organized. There are three different courses, and the staff will gladly tell you which one is less crowded at the moment -- such a simple thing, but it makes a big difference when you just want to enjoy the game without waiting around. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of peaceful and playful. It's great for families, date nights, or just a fun, low-key outing. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable (about $13 per person), especially for how much you get out of the experience. And you can feel the history here -- it's a family-owned business that has been part of the Reno community for decades, and it shows in how well it's maintained and how welcoming it feels. Should read 4.5 stars but I'm rounding up!…read more We had the most amazing ski vacation at the Ritz Carlton. We spent 4 nights here and did not leave the property except to ski 3 whole days. Here's my notes: ***Seriously ski-in ski-out: The hotel is located on a ski run, so we literally traded our shoes for our boots at the mountain concierge and then grabbed our skis/poles from the concierge outside and started skiing down the mountain to our desired lift. No need to hop on a slow gondola or walk a distance to get to the snow. ***Some fun hotel perks: The hotel does a smores thing at 4:30 pm every day and we thought it was a very nice event. They gave everyone a plate with a graham cracker and piece of chocolate, then your choice of marshmallow (they had strawberry and regular). They also gave us a cup of hot chocolate with a little liquor if you were so inclined. They also had Kids events and we had our little guy paint a pinecone. He had a great time with the very nice guy running it and who knew painting a pinecone could be so fun? ***The restaurants: While we had high hopes for going out to Truckee to check out some cool restaurants, we were so tired from skiing at the end of each day, we never made it out. We loved the food at the Lobby Bar (I think it's called the Living Room) and their new taco restaurant which is called Montesa. Both are expensive (for example, get ready to pay $11-13 for a taco) but we really liked the food at both places. We also ate at Manzanita which is the high end restaurant and the service was amazing plus our little guy LOVED their kids buffet. We on the other hand thought the food was just okay and I don't think we would do this again. So why 4.5 stars and not 5 stars? ***Communication could be improved. We asked directions to the Smores event and a staff member told us it was at the Backyard restaurant and it's not there. In addition, because we pushed out our trip by a day due to the weather, we lost the room upgrade we had secured. It was not the Ritz Carton's fault that we lost this, but there were a couple places where we told the Ritz what was happening with us and they could have told us that they could not guarantee our upgrade. ***Service times at the Lobby Bar restaurant were extremely slow. There was one night where we waited for our food for at least an hour and a half. We will be back!

We booked a family stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe for myself, my wife, and our six-year-old…read moreson. A few days before our trip, our son was diagnosed and tested positive for RSV. I called and asked for a reservation modification given the circumstances, and I was completely open to alternative solutions: a date modification, Marriott Bonvoy points to rebook on our own, a refund, or anything reasonable. We just wanted some flexibility. What followed was the usual runaround. We called the Ritz-Carlton directly, they told us they couldn't help because we booked through American Express. So we called Amex, whose concierge team was empathetic and professional. They reached out to the Ritz-Carlton on our behalf. After waiting 24 hours and following up, we were told that Ritz-Carlton management responded via email and declined to allow modifications to the reservation and still expect us at the property unless we pay a $750 cancellation fee. We presented a positive diagnosis of a contagious virus, were willing to accept any reasonable accommodation; a date change, points, anything, and the answer was no. This raises a serious concern beyond our personal frustration. If the Ritz-Carlton would rather a family show up carrying a contagious virus than accommodate a date change, what does that say about their commitment to the health and safety of their guests and staff? How many other sick guests have they pressured to check in rather than lose a night's revenue? What about employees who may face the same inflexibility when they're ill? For a brand that markets itself as the gold standard of hospitality, this experience seems like the opposite.
