Tipsy Putt made our first night in South Lake Tahoe an absolute blast! We stumbled across it while walking by, and it just happened to be Trivia Night with DJ Trivia hosted by Sierra Nevada Tom. As soon as we walked in, it was clear there was plenty to do. Whether you want to stay busy or just kick back and watch a game, they've got you covered. There's a fun mini golf course with obstacle-style holes, cornhole, other interactive games, tons of big-screen TVs showing sports, plenty of high-top tables, a long bar, and even outdoor seating. We decided to grab a couple seats at the bar. We were first greeted by Kelly, who was incredibly friendly, had a great smile, and genuinely seemed happy to take care of us. Then Ben took over, and he was awesome. Super personable, easy to joke around with, and the kind of bartender who keeps interacting with guests even when he's busy. The staff alone is a reason we'd come back. Trivia isn't usually my thing, but we decided to join in anyway. It's free, energetic, and a lot of fun. There were probably around 25 teams playing, and Tom did a great job keeping the energy up all night. The questions start out pretty easy to build your confidence, then get progressively tougher. It ended up being a great time and the perfect way to spend our first night in Tahoe. read more

Family fun for kiddos and adults. Great place to stop by for a drink, some mini golf, good place for kids as long as it's before 8 (adults only after that). Prices are okay for the mini golf, food and beers are good. People are friendly. Get there a little early though, they do run out of room for golf. The first night we went, it was 7:30 pm. We enjoyed our time here although there was an hour wait to play since it was packed when we arrived. We got food and drinks first while waiting our turn. The service was fast. I got the passion fruit lemonade which was not refillable. Their plain lemonade is refillable though. Tried their churroz and it came with a chocolate and a caramel dip. The caramel was better because the chocolate was on the bitter side. The game was fun specially when you're playing with a big group. This was my second visit to Tipsy Putt in South Lake and I've decided... this is a place to be! Let's start with the food. The food at Tipsy Putt is good. It's not anything crazy, but its good bar food. They have specials going all the time but the highlights seem to be the tacos and the pretzels. What you really come here for is the games and the drinks. At Tipsy Putt, they serve up everything you could possibly want to drink. There is beer, wine, and ciders on tap. They also have a full bar for cocktails. Great options and certainly something for everyone. It can be busy here, so be ready to wait awhile if you're around during peak times, which is SLT can be all the time. The games here are also a blast. The 1-2 putt is fun and actually more fun than the actual mini golf in my opinion. I think for such a small space they did a great job fitting so much in. They also have table games and plenty of TV's for watching all your favorite sports. The prices are a bit high, but for the area it's really not too bad. If you think you'll visit often, the membership is certainly something to consider for $50 a year. You get unlimited mini golf and 1-2 putt with the membership compared to the day fee of $39. Been here before but this time was different. Mitch and his team were warm and welcoming and friendly. We had one of the best times there and even came back a second time the next day of our two day visit to Tahoe. The first day Ben and Brad were warm and welcoming give us recommendations for other places to go. They welcome us like we were old friends and have known them for years even though we just met. Mitch has the same demeanor opening and inviting the drinks were great and the company was even better. He's a great team leader. Because of this we even came back the next night Thursday. For the most epic trivia night we have ever been to. Tipsy put was a great time for a family outing in Lake Tahoe. We came on a Friday night during a colder than usual Summer evening and it was busy but not too crowded. We were able to get a game started pretty quickly after checking in, and also had a Groupon which included some beverages which was a big motivator for coming. The miniature golf itself is a pretty straightforward 9 hole course with beer themed decor. The holes weren't too complicated, our kids were able to play with no issues and we all had a great time. We were waiting behind groups so the overall game took longer than usual. Not a big deal as we played a few holes multiple times while waiting, and overall our game lasted about 45min. We played some Jenga afterwards and relaxed a bit before heading to Dinner. Fun place to have a good time and kill a couple of hours. It is a decent sized bar but small when it comes to the golf and games. The location is very convenient right on the street in Stateline right next to everything. It was pretty busy with bachelor/bachelorette parties and birthdays. We had to wait about 25-30 minutes to start mini golf; however, our drinks were made almost instantly and the food was quick and looked good. Lots of seating and a fire pit and Cornhole outside. They have two activities, there's mini golf and there 1-2 putt which is done standing at golf tables and using a hand putter to play. We just did normal mini golf. The holes were pretty small and didn't make a lot of sense as far as if you were taking the mini golf seriously, but I doubt that's the point when you're playing Tipsy. This was such a cool spot. My husband, brother-in-law and I were looking for something to do on a Friday night. We had walked by Tipsy Putt that morning and decided to try it out. We had a lot of fun while simultaneously realizing we aren't good at the game! However, the spot is so cool! We paid the fee to play the 10 holes and it was a great price. You could opt to keep the tab open for the bar. About halfway through we decided it was time for some drinks. The bar service was speedy. They have so many different options to choose from. There is no excuse for having additional hidden "fees" that aren't included in the price of each menu item. This business sneaks in a hidden fee to all of their checks without telling the customer. If you don't notice the fine print on the check, you would never know that everything they offer is more expensive than the actual price they state on the menu. This is a perfect place to pass the time during your trip to Tahoe! We had spent the whole day walking around the shopping area and wanted an easy activity and also to catch the football game. Last time I was here it was called Flat Stick. It appears it has changed names or was bought out by TIpsy Putt. Tipsy Putt is a chain. They have one in Downtown Sacramento. They have a happy hour where when you came after 7pm and your golfing is unlimited, I think that's how I read it. We thought about coming back later in the day, but we were there so we opted to go in. We opted for the mini golf, vs the table golf. There seemed to be more stations and a longer game for the mini golf vs the table golf. Soon as we paid for our golf (granted there is time limit on your golfing experience) my husband says we should order some nachos. Why he didn't say this first so we wouldn't have to rush at the end to play no one knows. I was glad he wanted to order some food as I was hungry. We ordered the nachos using there QR code system and in less then 5 minutes they texted me that it was ready. Amazingly the QR code system worked really well. In the past I've never had good experiences with ordering on the QR code system. We could even put what we wanted or didn't want on our nachos. I opted for no jalapenos. The nachos were great. They were covered with I believe beer cheese and black beans and olives and a huge scoop of guacamole. Delicious. They are a many napkin kind of dish. I'd order them again. No meat is needed. It's very filling for 2, we barely finished it. Mini golf was fun. It's only a 9 course game. I wish it was longer. It went to quick and we easily finished in the time limit. Walked into Tipsy Putt to check out the golfing options. It's $16 for a 9 hole mini golf or $15 for a 9 hole "hand" table golf. Prices are a little steep for the size of the golfing, but they do offer unlimited packages and memberships if you live close to a location. Instead of golfing we decided to grab a few drinks and food. They have a large variety of local beers and cider. And they also have cocktails on tap. I had a hard seltzer which was very good. They let you try anything before you buy a full sized drink! For food I got a three dip platter which was shockingly very good! Ordered the queso, esquite, and guacamole. Located in a hot tourist area in South Tahoe. We enjoyed our mini staycation nearby so we could be in walking distance to dining and stumbled across the Tipsy Putt on the way to dinner. The mini golf course is great, accessible for beginners but still challenging! The table golf things are cool and interesting too. First time ever playing that! Love the openness of the space and the indoor/outdoor areas with heaters there's cornhole outside too! Food wise it's okay, the quesadilla is good and the nachos were okay. A great place to spend a snowy day with the kids. We came in, dog in tow, and were met by such a kind staff. They asked to pet our dog, if they could get her a bowl of water, while welcoming our kids and giving them the rundown on golf.
