i've only been here once, so maybe my review will change if i miraculously have a horrible experience the second or third time 'round. My experience with King Gun Center was fantastic, the guy i spoke to, to rent my guns out i don't remember his name, he had glasses maybe, but he was so nice, very informative and kind, he understood it was my first time holding a handgun let alone shooting it and helped me adjust around 4 times, that's patience right there. the value is honestly better than expected, it was 2x entry fees, 1x lane fee, 2 gun rentals and 100rnds of 9mm. for 123 dollars, that's not bad in any sense, for a good 2 hours of good shooting i'd say it's a pretty decent ask. the only downsides were the lanes are humid, you'll definitely break a couple sweats while shooting, and that the guns for rent definitely need a little juice as the slides are stubborn from being a little dry, other than the fact that i had only one malfunction i doubt it's a big issue. i had fun, learned a lot and had good convos about guns and everything that has to do with em. i hope i have an experience like that again. read more

Friendly staff and consistently great experiences with the store and the team behind the counter. I recently used the range for the first time and enjoyed it overall, but the temperature inside was very warm. Some form of air conditioning, fans, or improved ventilation would make a big difference in comfort. I would have liked to stay and shoot longer, but the heat made it difficult. Hopefully, improvements can be made to help regulate the temperature and provide a more comfortable experience for customers using the range. read more

As of 10/10/2025 they have added fully online ccw classes ... absolutely hilarious. So the owner: 1) called me uninformed when I pointed out a service they no longer had (hybrid ccw classes and not fully online) 2) also said I was a bad customer for doing that 3) proceeded to listen to my feedback (and I'm sure many others) 4) they also proceeded to block me from their social media pages after i called out that bs when they made the fully online ccw classes returning post What was the point in acting unprofessional? I'm exploring new hobbies and one of them is properly and safely handling a gun. I am currently getting private lessons from a sweet gal named Jennifer and she has been awesome as my instructor. She is skilled, professional, and informative. The gun center itself is incredible. I love browsing their merchandise as well as getting an eye full with the many funny and cool looking things on display. Prices are great and they offer military discounts. My issue with Kings Gun Center is it's complete lack of customer service. I recently did a firearm add-on certificate there to add a new pistol to my CCW. All went well until I was told that the owner was not there to sign the certificate, and that I could come back the next day, or they would email a copy to me the following day. Email was fine with me. I had not received an email within 3 days, so I called and spoke to an employee. Again Todd (the owner) was not there, but they would email the cert to me ASAP. An additional 3 days passed, and no email, and another call in. This time Todd was there, but he was busy, and they would get it signed and emailed. A week passed, and another call, and this time Todd was there, but in a class. I asked that he call me. The employee apologized and promised it would be taken care of. And another week passed, and another call in. This time Todd was there talking to another customer, but the employee promised to have him sign the certificate and call me. Nope... I gave up on Todd or anyone at KGC following through with anything they say, and finally went to a better firing range. I walked in, did my re-shoot, paid, and walked out with a signed certificate, all within 20 minutes. If you just want to shoot, KGC is nice. If you want good customer service, Fresno is only 30 minutes away. read more

Second of all by the way I leave a store doesn't tell you what kind of person I am, the fact that you or your employees didn't apologize for the mix up but just looked at me like I was crazy pissed me off more. 4/2/19' First and foremost Alex was awesome! Very nice, professional, and helpful! My wife and my I were first timers for shooting fire arms and he helped us tremendously on getting started and what to do! We used a deal with groupon however the prices seemed very reasonable even if we didn't have the groupon. The firearms are much louder than anticipated and can be very overwhelming with just the ear plugs provided so plan ahead! Can be a little scary getting started but after you get going it is pretty fun and exciting. read more

I purchased a used gun from a private seller. I did the transaction at the counter. The seller later on when I was not there came back and told them that he left the gun case "by mistake" (a falsehood). They gave him the case that was part of my purchase. When I came to pick up after my DOJ was approved, my gun was given to me without the case. After a lot of justifications and backpedaling they didn't even say they are sorry or own to the screwup they did. Really not a service-oriented place and not honorable. Not recommended. read more

Called them at 5:30 PM to ask if they had open lanes because I noticed on their website a CCW class was being held. I was told there were plenty of lanes available. We drove 20 miles to go shoot. We arrived at 6:25. We walked in and the guy working the desk said they close the range at 6:30 because they had to clean the lanes. Why would a business post operating of 10:00 am-7:00pm and not allow people to shoot until 7:00? We wasted time and gas money driving down there and back. You need to make your hours of operation more clear on your website so customers have an actual idea of your true operating hours. Todd responded with an apology last night after I posted this review. I appreciated his quick response and his willingness to discuss this issue with his staff. read more

Overall this place is great for beginners and well knowledge professional. The satff is well round in their expertise and give great examples of personal experiences. Lanes are kept clean but is up to customers to clean after themselves. Prices for merchandise are higher than other retail stores but price on lanes are low as well as gun rentals but it is mandatory to buy their ammunition. Great way to blow off steam or just get the target practice in. read more

This place is awesome. Super friendly helpful staff. Bought my 1st gun from here and they took the time to explain all the differences and pros/cons. Good selection of firearms. Ended up settling on a CZ pistol. Took a first shots course here as well with Rachel which was fantastic. Todd, Alex and the rest of the crew were all friendly and welcoming. I entered w my surgical mask on and the employees told me to take it off. Masks are not allowed in this place. If they need to see my face thats fine, i can take it off for a couple seconds and show my face to the cameras but i should be able to wear one if i choose. I love the staff and the facilities are very clean. Great people overall! I gave 4 stars because the last 3 times that I have been there, the runners don't work all they way so it becomes frustrating. As a side note - and I know there isn't anything that the staff can do... but some of the clients can be straight up racist. Oh well. I guess that's par for the course in Hanford. read more

Boss took us out here for some bonding time with the coworkers and I enjoyed it. We shot arrows in their area designated for it. They gave us two bows for 6 people and we just rotated to shoot. Very clean nice area. I had fun shooting the bow and arrow and I think it's a great activity to do with friends and family. This place sells all kinds of outdoors stuff, from water bottles to guns, knives, bows, and etc. cool little place to check out. There is also a gun room as well for people to shoot. read more

Nice clean range with helpful staff. They don't have proper ear protection to rent so you I have to buy some 50 cent foam ear plugs and risk possible permanent ear damage. (Which is what I had to do and hopefully my ears stop ringing soon) They also don't rent safety glasses so have to buy eye protection. read more

I called this place two years ago (2020) because I needed a BSIS re-qualification that is required by DOJ. The young man I talked with on the phone said they were getting certified and could accommodate me within six months. Fast forward to last week 08/2022, I called them up and no one answered so I left them a detailed message along with my telephone number. Two days later, I called again, and again it went to the voice mail of the gun range counter, so I left another message. After not receiving any callbacks from anyone I sent them two additional e-mails the following week. No response! The third week, I drove to Hanford from Visalia, (08/10/22, approx. 6:00 pm) and walked into their establishment. There were no customers, three counter people and one young lady from the gun range side came over and asked me what I needed. I explained my frustration with them not responding back to my calls or emails and needed to know what day they were having their BSIS Requalifications. She obviously did not know what I was talking about and asked a tall Hispanic employee standing behind the counter if they held BSIS classes there and he looked over at me and said, "For what, security guard?" I said, "No for Private Investigators." He shrugged his shoulders and said, "We don't do those here!" and went about his business. I was planning on purchasing a family package for my wife and daughters here, but this just made it loud and clear for me that driving to Hanford from Visalia to this establishment was not worth my drive for such negative attitudes, and lack of attention to detail and piss poor customer service. For those that need the BSIS Re-Qualification Class, I found Police Science Institute "The Range" in Fresno offers it every Tuesday and one Saturday out of the month. The cost is $40.00. read more

They have a no mask policy. I had mask on and they ask me to remove my mask...I started to but decided not to and exited the store. There were about 10+ people inside. I drive a City bus and many gotten infected on our buses. I was thinking what if I somehow gotten the COVID-19 and not know it. By taking off mask, others can get it from me. If they want to know who's in their store, just put a camera by door and have pictures taking with mask off before entering! read more

My brother and I went in wearing masks and they yelled at us as soon as we walked in to take them off and that masks weren't allowed. A friend called other gun centers and were told that masks were not required to be taken off. They had Trump signs hanging, and the information from other gun centers leads me to believe that their no-mask policy is political. I don't feel safe taking my business there. read more
