Since Curry had been so helpful a year before, I contacted Aaron Curry and on a Sunday afternoon, he was able to make it out in a few hours -- he had several calls already in the queue that day -- and get a diagnosis. The diagnosis was, unfortunately, a freon leak that was so bad that it simply wasn't holding the freon. Plus side, he didn't charge me for the attempted freon refill, but of course, the minus was that I needed a new unit. Still, the installation of the new unit went absolutely smoothly. Set the appointment for the day that my loan was scheduled to clear from the bank, and he showed up at precisely the time that we'd agreed on (0830). He and a carpenter (who was needed to get the new unit into my attic) were courteous and professional, and were all done by a little after lunchtime and I had cool air in my house again. The cost of parts and labor for the new unit as well as an adjustment of the entrance of my attic -- there's now going to be less wriggling required to get into my attic, so that's a plus -- came out to $7933.00. Six hundred of that was the carpentry, so had it not needed the adjustments, I would have had a whole new HVAC unit installed for a little over $7k, which given the rate of lots of home repairs is really not bad at all. If you need quick, professional service, there's no better than Curry Heating and Air.

Do you have something to hide, DARRELL?! If you delete mine, I'll only post again here and in other places!!! First, we got the runaround for weeks from both the owner and our home warranty company -- each blamed the other for parts being canceled or never picked up. Whatever! Finally, after a month, we got our new air conditioner installed. We were happy for about three days -- until we noticed a huge bubble forming in our kitchen ceiling. We assumed a pipe had burst in the wall, so we called our home warranty company for a plumber and opened a claim with our home insurance company to get a mitigation crew on standby. By morning, the bubble kept growing until water started leaking onto our floors. We couldn't wait for the plumber, so our insurance company approved a mitigation team to come in and dry out the ceiling before mold could form. Well, guess what? The leak was from the air conditioner installation -- completely their fault. Either they don't know what they're doing, or they really don't know what they're doing. My husband called the owner, who sent someone over to reposition the condensation pan and promised to come back to fix the condensation line and repair the hole in our ceiling. That was two weeks ago -- no one ever showed up, and now the owner won't respond to texts or calls. Because of Darryl's negligence, we now have thousands of dollars in damage -- not just to our ceiling but also to our hardwood floors. Do NOT -- I repeat, DO NOT -- use this company. They will lie, disappear, and leave you with the mess.
