Not to many breakfast options in the area unless you go towards El Paso proper. First thing I noticed is my wife and I were the only customers in the restaurant. I think I did see some drive through action as we dined. Usual order at the counter process went well. Within minutes we're sitting down with drinks to eat. First issue I had was the tortilla. Dry with cracks all around. The chopped beef was good as was the rest of the filling. Back home in Austin, pico is also available along with the other breakfast taco sauces. This location doesn't have it. Next time finding a local option

This was ridiculously clean and not at all sketchy-in fact there were several cops having dinner there. The wet brisket was incredible, the jalapeño-cheddar sausage delicious, and the potato salad was cold and crisp. My coworker had the lean brisket that was good, but not as tender, as well as the sliced smoked turkey. I would never get turkey at a bbq spot, but it was out of this world. Nana puddin is supposed to have a Nilla wafer. Theirs had 3! Sweet tea was plentiful and sweet, but not too sweet. I will make sure I need to come back to El Paso just for this!

Walking in and having direct access immediately and heading to the front register to order. Customer service was great! From the entering in to the front counter and in between. They do serve beer!! I got the baked potato which was great, the sauce is what saved the taste for me as far as the brisket. Initially, it felt dry to me, but it was still enjoyable. The portion size was reasonable and it was very tasty. I will return and try other items on the menu as I would like to give this place another try!

I never miss a chance to be my best carnivore, and Rudy's allows it. I kept it small, just a sandwich, a small side and a drink was under $15. I picked a moist brisket sandwich, and delicious side of cream of corn, and a small sweet tea. The portions of brisket was plenty, it was maybe a 1/4 lb. It was a lot, the corn was served fresh, from the pot, and it was bottomless sweeeert tea. This location has plenty of bench seating space in three different areas. The folks serving were very friendly and the acting store manager came to check on us. I felt appreciated as I was appreciating my sandwich. I recommend this Rudy's.

Craving bbq this Saturday I came early afternoon to Rib Hit East. I already knew what I wanted. I'd…read morebeen dreaming of it all day. I got a root beer, a small combo with brisket and of course some honey glazed spare ribs, green beans and corn on the cob. Though I haven been here In several months I could have swore it used to be a whole ear of corn in the past, not a cobette. I also wanted an appetizer to start of some of their fried mushrooms with gravy instead of ranch. My drink came right away, it was ice cold and the Root Beer right on point. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. Wondering after about 10 minutes now or so where my mushrooms were.... Waited a little more ... and out came my entree. With apologies, some mix up in the kitchen and mushrooms ??? So I said to cancel them, because I wanted them as an appetizer, to eat beforehand. So now that my food had arrived, I no longer needed them. So my waiter said he would. So I'm buttering my corn. Salt and peppering it, trying my green beans (so good, but needed some salt and pepper too), opening this tiny maybe 2oz thimble full of bbq sauce for all that meat on my plate, taking a bite out of my first spare rib and another gentleman shows up with a basket of mushrooms and ranch. Apologizing that mine actually got sent to another table so they had to make mine again. I chew the rib chunk in my mouth and tell him that I had cancelled them already because they were to be an appetizer. And I already had my food. He again apologized and asked could he just give them to me, after all they were already made, I told him i didn't want him to have to do that but he insisted. So I agreed. I didn't know how many I might eat now, I was already out of the notion. But it was nice of him to comp them and leave them. So my food. Ribs were amazing. As always. My brisket was either the first cut or last cut on the board. It was more like burnt ends. I had no nice slices of brisket. Everything was black tough char. Some small outer slices, some outer chunks. All crusted and black. I just kept telling myself, this must be what burnt ends are like! And used sauce to try and moisten it... but on most of it, that was impossible. It was hard, tough, hard to chew. Very flavorful for what it was and I have pretty good teeth. But I got no nice softer moist slices. I didn't complain, I just soldiered on and ate it all. My ribs were so good, this day I wish I'd just gotten them. The corn was very nice and kernels popped when you bit into them but they were cold? The cobette would not melt butter. I've never had that issue before. The mushrooms were piping hot so I could tell they were fresh made. But I only ate about 5. I was all about my plate by the time it came. So this wasn't 5 star visit this time. I will be back, they still have my favorite bbq sauce in town, it tastes like Central Texas Bbq Sauce. So the brisket and corn missed the mark this visit, normally they are both on point. And the Gentleman in the Red shirt went out of his way to correct a kitchen or other waitpersons mistake on my appetizer in a friendly quick manner and I greatly appreciate that. And I'll tell others. I think I'd say, don't serve customers all black first cuts or last cuts on brisket unless they ask for that, most of us are looking for some nice lean to moist tender slices when it comes to brisket, thank you.!

Indeed, they lived up to their Yelp reviews. I had a 20 oz. Bone in Ribeye (the way God intended ) cooked medium with backed potato. I won't be slapping my mother but I will call her later this evening , to sing the praises of this excellent piece of meat. Particularly the char. It is the best I have ever had. If this placed served a dish that consisted of nothing but the end pieces (where they hug the bone) I would have to consider moving here. That char was perfectly blackened & bursting with flavor. The baked potato (which was backed in an oven & NOT microwaved) was very good also. The Alex's Philly Cheesecake was not as good as the steak but it got the job done. I sat at the bar so the service was immediate but the unsweetened tea tasted like I was the second person who drank some all day. This place is large (it has 'Texas' right in the name!) & because you have to do parking lot gymnastics in the full parking lot, I expected a little wait on this hot Sunday afternoon. Happily there was no wait. It has a high barn-like roof that amplifies customers talking to a semi-comfortable background cacophony but the steak was so good I entered into my own little world. The only down side was that the steak & especially the backed potato could have been a little hotter. If I ever wander through these parts again, I will definitely return. 4-stars

Extremely Disappointed, Multiple Issues Throughout…read more I had high expectations for this restaurant given its chophouse reputation, but our experience was disappointing from start to finish. We ordered the bone marrow appetizer, iceberg wedge, Caesar salad, and two kids meals to go. Unfortunately, nearly every aspect of our order had problems. The bone marrow was excessively salty to the point of being inedible. We tried to salvage it by scraping away the salt, but ultimately had to throw it out, I was not happy as you know bone marrow is not cheaply priced. The salsa macha accompanying it was also missing. My Caesar salad arrived with wilted lettuce literally hanging out of the container, clearly not fresh enough to serve. One kids meal had the wrong side item, no silverware was provided, and our drinks were forgotten entirely. We returned to address these issues, and while the manager was apologetic and remade our order, the replacements were still subpar. My LARGE salad was noticeably smaller than what I originally ordered, and the salsa macha, when finally provided, was very mediocre at best. I've had a lot better. I'm typically understanding when restaurants make one or two mistakes, but when an entire order is executed this poorly, it's hard to overlook. I understand they were busy, but they seriously need to execute better under those conditions. For a chophouse at this price point, the quality and attention to detail should be far better. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
