When I was young, books written about days gone by were popular. They all had a chapter that had the star of the story eyeballing the pastry case in a bakery that smelled of powdered sugar, gingerbread and sugar plums. Walking into Bella Cora is like walking into a story book- the wonderful aroma overtakes your senses as you stand transfixed trying to decide on a purchase. There is no disappointment when you finally dig into your tasty confection- everything tastes as good as it looks. What I love about the bakery is that the try different things- it is not the same stuff you see all over the place, adding to the specialty of the goods. Now I bake, but these folks do the fancier stuff, and because I bake and know how much work goes into making something flaky and sweet, I really appreciate their art.

Great pineapple dessert...I was going for the lemon bar but since they were sold out. I was not disappointed with: Yellow × 1 Spiced Pina Colada Dessert - spiced cake with coconut rum mousse, pineapple gelee, rum Chantilly and dried pineapple. I'll definitely come back when I'm in El Paso again and maybe even order some dessert in advance to be sure to have more options.

    Boxes are recyclable and simplistic.

I come to El Paso to visit family but never really explored the area much. This time around, I was determined to try some places now that more places are opening back up, and I'm all about supporting local businesses, even if I am not a local. Bella Cora Bakery was just a few min away from where I was staying so I gave it a try. The first thing I noticed as I approached the store was the sign, "No Mask, No Service." I don't care what's "allowed" or that some people don't "believe" in masks--support your local biz and respect their workplaces. In I go with my mask on, I was immediately greeted by beautiful baked goods and a friendly voice saying hello. I said it was my first time, the man gave me a few seconds to process the beautiful baked goods, and answered all my questions like a veteran host of a baking competition. I bought a morning bun, macarons, Bunny's Butt cake (omg so cute), and a lemon bar. Some interesting macaron flavors you can find here are Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast. I also took Rose and Coffee. I love that the packaging is recyclable and branded with their logo stamped on the box. Such a humble looking store from the outside, but there's magic happening inside. Definitely will visit again!

We went here on a whim and we liked it, a lot! The pastries were delicious. The service was okay, the young man is kind. It is really pretty inside the location, they have seats where you can enjoy your pastries.

We live right around the corner from Bella Cora bakery, but haven't stopped in until recently. Thanks to the yelp El Paso Yelpies, we had a reason. We were not disappointed. If you are waiting to check this place out you have been wasting your time. The macaroons were chewy and flavorful and not a flake came off the outer crust. My kids tore up the wreath and the Santa hat and as you can tell by the pictures, the tiramisu was OK too (i'm dropping some DJ Pooh bars now.) If you have thought about going to Della Cora, don't delay head on your way at the end of your order pay today!

Amazing, amazing bakery! I think this has to be one of the best in El Paso. It's a bit pricey but everything tastes so fresh and delicious. I feel it's alright to splurge here every so often. I've been to the westside location more than this one. Me and my son visited after I took him to get a haircut a couple of doors down. Bella Cora was festive for Halloween. The clerk recommended their brains dessert to me and it's amazing! I wish I would've taken a picture of it before I ate it. It sort of reminded me of a chocolate pudding with crumbled Oreos. I can't exactly recall what all it had but it was outstanding! The 'brains' were made from raspberry jelly and frosting. It was very sweet but not completely over the top. I also had a bite of my son's brownie. It was amazing too! It had a chewy texture to it. It was straight up perfection! The rectangular shape of it was even perfect! You can tell that the bakers are passionate about their baked goods while using the freshest and finest ingredients. Bella Cora is well-known for their macaroons so I had to get some of those too. They're $1.70 each. The brownie was $3 and the brains dessert was $5. I had a Reeces and chocolate macaron. I preferred the chocolate. I got a few others but unfortunately they were gone before I got to take a bite. I forgot...I also had a small bite of an Apple Jacks macaroon. Not bad at all, either! I spent $16.50 for all of it. I saw a $5 strawberry pop tart I was tempted to buy but I didn't. Yes yes and yes I'll return to Bella Cora! They even change up their menu pretty often. I hear their holiday pies are also out of this world. This may be the next time I stop by.

    Do they have tiramisu?

Yes they do. But I don't believe a lot in quantity. I recommend calling ahead before going to location.

Sandwich bread is baked in-house along with all of the incredibly fresh pastries we also enjoyed. The cinnamon role had a gorgeous crust that hid a moist inside. Cream cheese frosting was perfection. Chiapas Nutella (neglected to snap a picture) was chocolatey, buttery, and topped with fresh pecans. The cream cake was a strawberry crepe masterpiece...layer upon layer of diced strawberries and an almost-savory cream cheese filling. We were warmly greeted and immediately seduced by the lovely scent of fresh baked pastries. While indoor space is limited with only three tables, covered seating out front provided a nice space. Friendly staff brought our drinks and food out to us. We will return to this lovely place.

But depending on where you're from in Mexico, and even the US, your pallet may be different. So, finding a good place can be challenging especially if you're visiting. First, they have an abundance of pastries to choose from. You can spend some time just trying to pick the right one. And they are tasty! Their burritos are absolutely delicious! I had the breakfast sausage and egg and it was great! My only issue was it was rolled up the way I am not used to for a burrito. It was more like a giant taco with the edges tucked in. That aside, it was still delicious and the salsa was good too! Eggs were cooked nicely, as well as the sausage. Potatoes were soft and with the beans added, it made for a great burrito! The staff were super friendly! Always welcoming when you walked in. And yes, we went there more than once! Always had a smile and waiting to take your order. Once the food was ordered it came fairly quickly too! Place was clean all around which was nice as well. All in all, this was a great place. Definitely stop by and try this place!
