If you are in the mood to try something new that did not have a lot of zing but tasted extremely healthy, the sashimi roll hits the spot. Good food and great service. It isn't the best sushi in the Myrtle Beach area but it's definitely up there in my opinion. For $16.99 a person on weekends, you get unlimited sushi, appetizers, hibachi, and dessert. They also have the option to order off the menu. You definitely want to pace yourself if you get the unlimited option. It isn't a buffet exactly. You order off a menu and they bring it out freshly made. They don't offer any to-go boxes if you get the unlimited special and they say you might incur extra charges if you waste too much food. The dumpling appetizers were delicious and definitely something I'd order again. The sushi was good for the most part. The rice was very fresh and still on the warm side. We only ordered rolls (didn't try the sashimi) and we liked most of them. The richmond, dynamite, volcano, hollywood, and sea angel rolls were all great. They weren't overly riced and they all had great flavor. The crazy monkey roll was interesting and fun to try. It had fried banana in the middle and crab meat on top. It wasn't bad but I still don't plan on ordering it again. The spider roll however was unimpressive. They used entirely too much rice on those so we pretty much couldn't taste the soft shelled crab. It felt like a waste of a perfectly good crab. But aside from that, everything else was awesome. All in all, we definitely plan on returning here. We'll just be skipping the spider roll. Sushi rice was warm. The rolls were small and filled with the crunchy garnish and not spicy tuna as they should have been. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. I always tip 30% even if the service is bad cause I know wait staff has it ruff. I complained to the manager and she comped our drinks. Bill was still 143 bucks for 5 people. To put it in perspective I'm 43 and that's the first time I've had a negative enough dining experience to "go Karen" on a manager. We ordered several rolls and everyone I was completely disappointed with. Any fish that was on the rolls was sliced so thin that it was practically see through. Now I know this is an all you can eat, so they are trying to save money but at least give me enough fish on a roll to taste the fish. Anything that was tempura was covered so thickly that you could hardly taste anything but oil and batter. When I asked the staff about it he said that it was just the way it was. Any fish that is actually involved in this food is minuscule. It should be noted that the trace of salmon in the philly roll was dwarfed by the cream cheese and rice. Any other fish used in sushi I ordered may or may hot have been detected by a magnifying glass. The iced tea appeared to be genuine, thus the two stars. If you're looking to put on the old feed bag, and to sit between screaming kids and giant people looking to get stuffed, Kings Sushi is for you. Better than I expected. There is no sushi bar. You just order from the menu. We ordered waaaaayyyyy too much and it was all fresh and delishious. The appetizers are super small which was a good thing because we got a lot of them. I ordered​ 4 different salads and they were all good and fresh. Cucumber salad was rather​ basic but still good. I also got hibachi which was really good but not mind blowing. The shrimp sauce was spot on. My only advice is not to order too much. You cannot take any home and we left too much on the table because we just didnt grasp the portion sizes. Because apps were tiny we assumed the rolls would be too. Great concept and value. It is approximately $17 per person, all you can eat , drinks and gratuity not included. This is pretty much in line with the cost/quality of other local places. The inside was beautiful and had my daughter gushing about the sakura's painted on the walls. Our server Shannon was the most dynamic personality and she seemed to be having fun doing her job even though she seemed busy. We will request her service again when we return. The food was pretty good with the sushi being the star. We tried lots of verities, dynamite rolls being the favorite of the night. The appetizers were OK. Loved the Edamame to snack on before the sushi arrived. The duck sauce that came with the spring rolls was special and I usually hate duck sauce. Only 2 critiques of the food is that the teriyaki steak was an inexpensive steak. The vegetables that came with it were enjoyable. The cheesecake at the end of the meal was dry.. But the ice cream was delish. Focus on the sushi. Very worth it. We will return without a doubt. Soon if I get my way.
