Been here before and the sushi was delicious. Back again for a couple of rolls. Unfortunately they are still not available for dine in. Take out only even though they have tables and a nice sushi bar. The woman told me that they only have two people working there so they can't handle a large number of people. It's unfortunate they don't hire people because they could do a lot more business. Just as well, I'll take my rolls home and open a nice bottle of Chardonnay!! Maybe eat on the deck and watch the ocean. Try this place for takeout if your in the Murrells Inlet area. read more

Nice little sushi place in Murell's Inlet. We stopped by here to order takeout in the evening, and they had a 45-minute wait for the order. The food was worth the wait; it was fresh and flavorful. The price was reasonable as well. read more

Always the freshest cuts. Only takeout, but it doesn't even matter. Enjoy at home. I've eaten this sushi multiple times and each time is as consistent if not better than the last. Couldn't recommend enough. I just prefer people not discover this place because wait times can get backed up. (I want it to be all mine!). On my fourth lunch visit to Hayashi Sushi, I decided it was high time to rave here on Yelp. I'll offer four notes of praise in honor of each visit. #1: A Sapporo is $2.99. That's cheaper than most American light beers anywhere. #2: The atmosphere is welcoming (kind servers) and relaxing (flute versions of Simon & Garfunkel tunes, which I didn't know I needed in my life until I heard them.) #3: The sashimi and Sushi lunch specials are inexpensive, tasty, and impeccably presented. The Miso soup, too, is the best in town. #4: A second Sapporo beer is (wait for it) still only $2.99. read more

What a lovely little gem - Just a short distance from the entries to Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington State Park. It's been described as simple and elegant. We had several appetizers and the Vegetable Sushi plate: all were plated beautifully, perfectly fresh, and delicious. Soothing background music, prompt and attentive wait staff. The food is absolutely excellent and the owner are two very nice people. It is a couple that owns the restaurant, wife and a husband, the wife is a server and the husband is the sushi chef. He is a very skilled at what he does, making beautiful presentations and making you mouth water at the same time. The food is so so so good! Give it a try 5 out of 5 every time! Best sushi in Murrel's. The artists behind the bar are precise with their work, creating beautiful rolls. Service is warm and friendly. I ordered the Manhattan house combo with Red Snapper sashimi, my dinner mates ordered the Fuji Mountain roll, the Fire roll, Volcano roll and the Alaska roll. I heard the sushi was excellent and wanted to give it s try. My favorite has always been Myabi also in Murrells Inlet. Matched up pretty good however it appears Hayashi still needs to address some minor shortcomings. Tea was never hot and speed of service was slow. The Sushi was as good as Myabi and it actually felt the the rolls were larger. Worth a try! read more
