The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside! It's pretty well organized, so if you're looking for a particular thing (dishes, furniture, children's clothing, for example), and don't have time to browse, you can head right for that section of the store. Everything's divided into rooms, so you get more of that fun "thrill of discovery" and "treasure hunt" feel than with the stores that are just one huge warehouse-type setting. The prices are more than fair; there wasn't one item priced to make me think "ooh, that's way too much", but plenty of things that made me say out loud "oh, wow!" We didn't linger for long in the furniture or glassware/dish/kitchen sections (we're up to our ears in all of the above, already) so I can't speak for the prices in there, but can't imagine that they wouldn't be in line with prices in the rest of the store. We spent way too much time in the book room; hardbacks were $1 and paperbacks were 75¢. I don't know if those are the prices every day, but we bought way more books than we should have. Hardbacks are awfully heavy, but at $1, what's a girl to do? ;) I picked up three of the classics that I've been meaning to read for decades, and they're in perfect condition. Checking out took much longer than expected; the lady had to sort our stuff into many different piles and add them up separately. It seemed like an odd system, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Be patient and allow a little extra time for this. On the bright side, they do accept debit/credit cards. We didn't have time to see the whole store, on this outing, but we'll definitely be back.

When I arrived, no one really greeted me or asked me for assistance, so I just took note of that and moved on. What I actually really liked what the men's selection here. I thrift quite a bit and it's honestly rare to find a decent breadth of Men's thrifted clothing. This store had probably the most vast men's section I've seen at a thrift. It took up one side of the store. What I've found is every thrift store has somewhat of an identity. This one is hard to pinpoint, but I have to say, it is not the hipster domain that some secondhand stores have become. This store felt more like a place people just looking for some deals turn up to. It was actually really refreshing. That in mind, I found the selection of vintage pieces here to be slightly above average. I even found a very rare band tee (that I plan on flipping). I was shocked at how great this place was for the unique vintage I love, but I think that largely has to do with it being more of a place frequented by community and not a hotbed for those millenials and Gen Z-ers just now on the thrift wave.

I was only coming in to look to see if there were any tools for sale. Within five minutes of being told, the store is closing in 20 minutes, the same woman came up to me, and I had nothing in my hands, and says to me you need to go get in line now... I paused, pointed at my chest and said "are you talking to me?" She said no I'm just talking to everybody. You need to go get in line so you could check out. The rest of the people in the store were herded toward the cash register. My total time inside of the store? Less than nine minutes, and pushed out the door, and I'm writing this review at 5:37 PM. I stopped by a few days ago to check out their new store. It's significantly bigger than Nana's Attic, which means it feels far less cramped. Yay! Still very good prices, the "yellow tag" items are consignment and generally higher priced than the store's donated stock. It about killed my soul to see an awesome vintage salt & pepper mixed in with newer dishes in a consignment lot. Aaah! Staff are great, the store is clean and bright. I'll definitely be back. Note: angled parking in front of the building is NOT free, Pontiac is a public street, and those are pay at kiosk metered spots.

I've been coming to this particular location since it opened approximately 20 years ago. What we've…read moregotten over the last 10 years has been mostly Halloween and Christmas decorations and sweaters for ugly sweater party's. I've mostly been a donator who always picks this location to bring my stuff because it's The closest Goodwill to a small city that is economically disadvantaged. The people of said city need only take a short bus ride to shop at this Goodwill that has many high quality clothing items because of its proximity to Swarthmore. The donation area is out back at a garage door and is usually staffed by one or two people.If donating try avoid a Saturday because it's a madhouse.Your best bet is to get here before 3 o'clock on a weekday because it gets busy there after.
