The food is very good. However, the staff is rude and unhelpful. I have eaten here several times. I recommend the cold sesame noodles and various soups - wonton, hot and sour, etc. Prior to covid, Kings Wok offered regular dining and were always friendly. Post-covid they have tables available to sit down, but operate with a covid mentality of "take your food and don't spread your germs". They simply do everything they can to discourage customers from dining in to the point of being rude, which they certainly were tonight. No napkins provided, no cups, no plates. No acknowledgement that we even asked. Busing one's table means using the garbage can in front of the store, no kidding! Avoid dining in. Takeout only. read more

Since it's the only Chinese in our town, we don't have a choice but, luckily it's pretty good. Very fast pickup times. We really like the general tso too fu and the Singapore mai fun. This place is pretty good. We always get the General Tsao tofu and it's great. Honestly everything we get like the pork fried rice, Singapore mai fun, beef lo mein, steamed dumplings, and Sichuan pork are all good. The food is alway ready quickly and is alway hot. King's Wok of Valatie offers takeout service and full service dining in their casual cozy dining room lined with several tables along the walls, kitchen in the back. There's also a fish tank next to two chairs (for waiting) across from the front counter and color photos of several featured dishes on the menu are hanging on the walls. Those chow fun noodles looked very good. The menu offerings include the standard garden variety of Chinese dishes and house specialties including Cantonese, Szechuan and Hunan cuisines. They have moo shu and duck on the menu! The prices here are fair, most dishes under $10.95. Beer and wine served here. They also sell bottles of sake at the front counter. 30 Special Lunch plates ($5.45) are offered Mon-Sat until 3PM, served with white or pork fried rice, soda, soup, or egg roll offered for minimal additional charge $0.75-$1.00. 20 Combination Platters ($6.95-$8.15) are served with pork fried rice and egg roll. I stopped in here for dinner takeout and ordered the C3 Roast Pork Lo Mein ($6.95 plus tax) served with egg roll & pork fried rice. The wait for the food was 10 minutes. The portion of food was a good amount, packed tight into a styrofoam box, egg roll on the side. The food was very good and not greasy. The lo mein had a good mix of fresh vegetables (carrots, cabbage, onions, sprouts, ), roast pork strips, the fried rice (light yellow color) was light and soft with sauteed onions, sprouts, and roast pork cubes. The egg roll was crunchy and firm on the outside, filled with a good mix of shredded cabbage and pork. The service here was friendly and prompt. read more

I suddenly had an intense craving for broccoli with garlic sauce, so I decided to give Kings Wok a try! After I called in the order, I looked at Yelp...I know I did this in the wrong order!....and was somewhat terrified by the more recent reviews. I am not really a good one to judge because the last time I had Chinese was about a thousand years ago, but I thought it was good! It was probably a little more bland than other places' garlic sauce, but it was fine. My dining companion, who DOES eat Chinese somewhat regularly, enjoyed his egg roll, pork fried rice, and lo mein. I'd say it was not five star dining, but it was just fine...not the greatest but not the worst! read more

Discovered this place since the pandemic hit, it's EXCELLENT for the typical "Chinese" restaurant. I am a vegetarian and every veggie dish I have tried is different and unique. My husband always gets the General Tsos chicken, it's all white meat, full of flavor and made right. Yes, it's easy to screw up a General Tsos dish. Most people don't know what they are getting but I'll tell you what this little gem in Valatie knows something about food and cooking because it is not the standard soy sauce on everything flavor. Worst Chinese food we ever ate! Fried rice was just rice and a few pieces of pork. No vegetables at al. It tasted like it was permeated and microwaved. Egg rolls were over fried and burned. Spicy mixed vegetables were not spicy at all and had the same sauce as the chicken and broccoli. Very disappointing. read more

The food is good at Kings Wok. However, they don't put their sauces out for customers to take. I ordered 40 dollars worth of food and asked for mustard, soy and duck sauce. I'm not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from but I frequent this establishment at least twice a month have never had bad food in fact it's cooked and seasoned exceptionally well. The prices are fair and on point. The staff is always friendly and courteous and recently I stopped in ordered some menu items to go and was told it would be about 40 minutes which was typical for me as it was a large order and it was ready before the time quoted. I was a customer of there's for quite sometime, there food was ok but there service was terrible, what I mean by that is my last encounter which was today I ordered 1 quart beef fried rice and 1 quart vegetable lo mein and 3 egg rolls in which I picked up my food 15 minutes later and drove home. When I opened the food at my house it was 1 veg lo mein and 1 beef lo mein so and the egg rolls, so I called to let them know and I was pretty much verbally accosted when not only I told them correctly on the phone but also when picking up the food. Saying that was not what I said ( in which this was the father of the kid who took my order and messed it up who also was the one I repeated it to in store and he didn't say anything.) so after being accosted I had to drive the wrong food back to get the one quart of food refunded and when he credited me he did not refund me the amount with the tax included, so he shorted me about a dollar on top! Never will eat there again! Rude to the customer! He should have handled that better it's no way to do business..... read more
