I received a guided implant dental surgery at Kingston Dental Office. I was super scared to have an implant post surgery done. I had Dr. Drescher and he made it seem very quick and easy. I felt confident as every part of the surgery went just as they had explained to me. The girls who aided him during this Laurie & Ray were so great also. I felt really calm and comfortable and it was done and over very quickly. Dr. Grossman also came in to see that I was doing ok. Afterwards the team checked on me and I was able to speak with Janette with questions easily and she followed up right away. I am very happy I chose this office to have this work done ! read more

5 star experience! I was able to get an appointment quickly for a broken tooth. All of the dental staff, from reception to check out, were very friendly and helpful. It would be nice to rate the dentists, but given that the receptionists rule the roost and I can't get through to the dentists, I'll just have to rate the receptionists. The first time I ordered a product that they sell and told them to put one aside for me and I will pick it up early in the morning, 45 minutes out of my way. The very same receptionist told me the next day, "Sorry, we sold the last one yesterday." Talk about exemplary customer service! No doubt she shat a brick, because 2 weeks later I got the product in the mail. Free. I broke a crown 2 weeks ago & the earliest appointment I could get was this morning at 7:30am as once again it's 45 minutes out of my way. I was at work making the appointment and had the receptionist on speaker which was heard by my colleagues. Imagine waking up an hour earlier than normal, traveling a distance to find out that they open at 9am! I left a rather nasty message and the SAME RECEPTIONIST phoned me back, calling me a liar, that no such appointment was ever made. Again, EXEMPLARY CUSTOMER SERVICE! When I read reviews on yelp for other dentists, I realized then & there I may have to go to another state to get a good dentist because it seems they all are pretty bad in Hudson Valley. Note: They sent me a letter, not apologizing for being incompetent and rude about it, but to let me know I have 30 days to get my dental records. The best part are the grammatical errors which shows that they don't even have a basic command of the English language. Perfect office staff! read more

My wife has been going to this dental practice for many years with the father and had a crown put in last year and it fell out twice right away. Rather than just fix it they kept pushing an implant. Always props to Heather the dental hygienist. The admin staff are fairly consistent with preparing you for appointments and out of pocket costs. I started working with Kingston Dental Assoc in 2022 and had problems with them from the beginning , due to their unprofessionalism, lack of care and concern and poor communication, starting with the rude and impatient front office staff, rough treatment by one of the dental assistants, and negligence from Dr.Matt Grossman. I received daily annoying reminders about my appt., asked to let them know when I was in the parking lot, etc. One reminder would suffice and when I asked them to stop sending me daily text messages, they said you could either opt out completely or stay in the way it is ....we can't adjust it. I was not told that the dental surgeon was not part of Kingston Dental and wouldn't be covered under my dental insurance. When I decided to have another surgeon in another office, do my extractions, the front office staff were so uncooperative. they didn't want to give me the dentures that I was fitted for and paid for because I wasn't allowing their surgeon to do the extractions. I felt like I was being blackmailed, either I use their surgeon or I wouldn't get my teeth. I ultimately did use their surgeon and was billed for the payments out-of-pocket. I didn't see Dr Matt very often during my appts. His dental assistants did most of his work for him. My original dentures never fit right. The bite was way off. The bottom dentures never fit right and caused ulcers on my gums. So I stopped wearing them after many many adjustments. I had 6 teeth extracted, a crown and 3 partial dentures made. I had problems with every treatment to the point where their negligence cost me to lose a bridge and one of my own teeth In the process.. When the dental Assistants were making a mold for my dentures, they used a putty that they kept pulling in and out on top of my bridge. I told them they're applying too much pressure on that bridge, that the bridge is starting to loosen, that it may fall out. And their response to me was "don't worry about it , we will cement it back in." PS . the bridge did fall out. I did go to back to Dr. Matt to have it cemented and he had the audacity to charge me me . The cemented Crown fell out the next day because the post had broken off from the pushing and pulling of the putty by Kingston Dental dental assistants. It was not loose when I started my treatments in 2022. I recently broke a tooth because the dentures were too tight. I kept telling the dental assistants and Dr Matt that my dentures were too tight, that I feel like I'm going to pull out my teeth when I take them out. PS I broke 2 nails and a tooth, broken from the too tight denture as I was removing it. I do not want Kingston Dental to ever touch my teeth again. I recently paid $290 out of pocket to another dentist for a consultation, and was advised to throw out my dentures , extract three broken teeth that were damaged from negligence and that I needed a new set of dentures that fit, that didn't cut into my gums or werent so tight to pull out my own teeth. If you want a professional , kind and caring Dental atmosphere, excellent quality products, where the staff and the dentist listen to you, are respectful of your wishes and your opinions, find another dentist ! read more

I called when I had an emergency & told to come right in. I was having an anxiety attack fearing the worst. I saw Dr Matt for the first time & he knew I was a long tome patient. He & his assistant (Laurie) couldn't have been more assuring & he repaired everything. The staff & especially the billing personnel were so patient & explained all the payment & insurance changes. First off I was happy with the office, at first, then I remembered why I stopped going there in 2011. They pissed me off trying to do frivolous work instead of real work. Anyway, at this time I need a lot of work. I'm not commenting one the quality of care since I didn't actually receive any other than xrays. I made an appointment for a cleaning, xrays, the usual. paid for at 100% by my insurance, same as it always is. Except they didn't do a cleaning. Ok fine, they'll do it the next visit I say to myself. So, that aside, afterwards during the follow up visit appointments I ask them if they have a payment plan. Yes, they do and I qualify, zero interest if paid in 12 months. I just pay them the first payment the next visit. Ok sounds good. Days go by and I finally get the forms to fill out for the credit via text, the SAME DAY as my appointment, just 2 hours before! I realize after beginning the forms that they want a credit card or debit card for the first appointment. Nobody told me that. I don't have a debit card and I don't want to use a credit card if I can help it, I am still paying off the holidays. Then checks can be used to mail in, after the first payment made at the office. Clearly written instructions. Except it won't accept the check payment, it wants a recurring credit card payment. I'm not doing that. I went around in circles with people who acted like I was a moron until the appointment was actually due. Two hours! I was in constant contact with the dentist office and was told I would have to pay almost $800 without the payment plan or 10%, of what I don't know. I assumed the $800 so $80. The price went up 3 times during the increasingly volatile conversation with a refusal to send me a bill! They demanded $396.20 after saying two different amounts before! She was just mad at me, unacceptable and unprofessional! . They're out of control. All they have to do is call someone on the waitlist. Some personal bs going on here imo read more

I wanted to leave a comment a long time ago but never did. Now, over a year later, I'm still dealing with the repercussions of using their services. When I dealt with them they would do excessive messaging and would make appointments without my knowledge, I constantly found myself going back and forth with them to stop rushing me. It all felt like a money-making scam. Pushing services on me when ever I went there. I felt like patients were like cattle trying to book as many patients and getting them in and out. I had a post put in and mentioned that I could hear cracking in my jaw while they were working on it. The dentist claimed it was just the noise from the drill, but later that day, my tooth fell apart. When I called them, they were rude, and it was a hassle to get the tooth fixed. They did eventually put the post and the tooth in, but I have experienced pain in that tooth for over a year. At one point, I had to go to the emergency room because my tooth started hurting, and my face swelled up. I made an emergency dental appointment with another provider, only to find out that the root where they placed the post was fractured and now infected. I need to have all the work that KDA has done possibly removed. Please don't use them. It was a horrible experience, and I'm still paying for it. read more

1st this is directed at the associates of the KDA, not the dentist. The staff (one person upon visit for tooth infection) was VERY RUDE. No hi or hello, just "first thing is you have to pay me $400.00". Ya sure (LOL). The rudeness continued - a Sara tried to pacify the situation in a very young and inexperienced way. I got so disgusted I walked out (of course I was charged for that appointment or cancellation on my part within the 24-hour period). From that time on there has been so much uneducated, unprofessional, rudeness, and childlike actions. I was even accused of lying regarding a phone call a relative made to complain on my behalf - they took the time (& got paid for this time) to come to the conclusion that I made the call instead of the relative. This just went on and on. I have all correspondence, etc. to back up any statements. I was even accused of possible insurance fraud because I would not state the other insurance I had (HRA), on & on. I do NOT recommend this business, if they don't know which way is up - you or your insurance company may. get ripped off. read more

They told me that I needed 2 crowns replaced although my prior visit 6 months earlier everything was fine. The day of my appointment meeting Dr. Matthew Grossman for the first time I was met with a rude unwelcoming person. When I asked for an explanation of what he was going to do and why he immediately became nasty. I told him I did not want any unnecessary work done and I read reviews that this practiced does that. He left the room and the assistant told me he would not treat me. This place is not warm and fuzzy. It is like an assembly line. This place is all about money. No customer service. read more

The crown Dr. Grossmans son put on a few months ago came off. I called to see if I could come in and have him fix it. They said I left the practice so they could not help me. I explained to them that they told me they took Carrington insurance and instead of charging me the $550 Carrington pays they charge me $1400 and said they don't do the kind of crown Carrington covered. . I asked them if they took the insurance and they did not tell me beforehand as I told them, I needed several crowns. Mark Grossman said I needed 3 to 4 more crowns and I told him I could not afford it so I did not go back. I told them that I paid $1400 and for a dentist not to stand behind his work is not acceptable. I highly recommend if you want integrity and dentists that stand behind their work then you might avoid this place. There are 2 other websites where they have all five star reviews. If you try to write a review, there is no place it's a closed website that I believe they must have arranged because there is no place for current reviews. This place is shady at best. I found another dentist that did the four crowns for $450 each as per Carrington. When I told my new dentist in Highland, he told me to come in and he would fix the other dentists work. Also, I've never been into a dental office or before you get any work done you have to pre-pay. That is a first and there must be a reason for it. read more
