Beware of shady practices, and even worse leadership. We made the mistake of trusting Petrie Ford…read morewith diagnosing an issue our vehicle was having. They said there was no issue and that it was 100% safe to drive. This led to our engine completely failing on the side of the highway. After further investigation, it was found that Petrie did not fully investigate the issue we were having, and instead only looked at one small component/possible source of the issue. Their inability to completely and thoroughly diagnose the issue led to putting us in an extremely dangerous situation where we literally could have lost our lives. It was negligent behaviour that they continue to refuse to take accountability for. This situation was preventable, but resulted in us being stranded in on the highway in another province (with no assistance to get home from the dealership) and requiring us to completely replace the engine. On top of that, Chris, the Service Manager, has the most disgusting attitude we have ever witnessed. Even the GM-to-be, Lisa, admittedly described him as "defensive" in a face-to-face conversation that we had with her about our situation.... Doesn't instil a lot of trust if the GM is aware of this behaviour and continues to employee these people. If you ever have a problem with the service you receive, you will never get resolution from the dealership level Do yourself a favour and bring your vehicle elsewhere.

First time (and possibly last time) buying from Toyota Kingston. Car is great, not a slight on the…read morebrand. Sales: We walked in from the street, knowing what we wanted, took very little time to decide, and purchased the car with minimal fuss - was told we didn't need winter tires because this car came with 'all season' tires which were adequate for winter (I'm not a Canadian and I'm quite trusting of expertise - so that cost me $2K last month when I realized winter tires are named that for a reason). When we came to collect, we found the experience to be rushed, On pickup, sales guy was running late to pick kids up, rushed the plates on our $60K car, and told us to work out the tech package as it was intuitive. I felt completely flat about this experience. Winter tire fitting: So - got to dealership at 7:30am, shuttle went 'everywhere', including East. Driver was a legend, but I could tell he was upset about this too - I got to work at 10:20am, having cancelled an important meeting. First service: Rude lady on the phone - I asked for someone else, who wouldn't be barking down the phone at me, she is the only service coordinator. She kept asking which service I wanted, I told her I was responding to the notification that my car gave me. She then asked for milage, which I gave pretty accurately, and she told me I must be mistaken. Shocked. This place is a sh*tshow. The only shimmer of light was the finance guy (who'd just moved to Toyota from Chevy) - that guy was great, but can't remember name. I think there's a Toyota garages in Belleville, in Napanee - hell - go to Ottawa... These small town chumps are the worst.

I watched the technician struggle to remove the front shield to access the oil filter. I watched him pull the shield down and struggle to pull the front off, which I found peculiar because all you do, is unbolt the shield and it should drop straight down. He then inspected the shield, showed it to another technician and placed it aside. He then proceeded to do the oil change, and when he was finished, he backed the vehicle out of the bay without replacing the shield. I brought this to the attention of the service advisor. He immediately went out to see what the problem was. After a few minutes he brought the shield in to show me that the screw holes were damaged and that it could not be reinstalled in this condition. He then proceeded to tell me that It was caused by road damage when you could clearly see that the front mounting had been twisted and freshly broken away from the bolt. I would also mention that this vehicle has only ever been touched by Honda technicians. He still tried to convince me that it was road damage, and I told him that I watched the technician bend and pull the shield off the vehicle. He also tried to convince me that I could just drive it without the shield. At no time did the service technician bring the part to the service advisor and he was going to leave it off without telling me. The service advisor, then went back to speak with somebody (I assume it was a service manager) and when he came back out, he told me that he would order a new part and call me when it comes in. No apologies or explanation as to why the technician was going to keep the part. All I can say is that Kingston Honda's service department has a long way to go before they ever regain my trust and I can't wait for my warranty to expire so I can have it serviced someplace else!

I greatly appreciate every employee I interacted with that day, but a huge shoutout to Mika!!! Thank you Mika!! :)
