They said there was no issue and that it was 100% safe to drive. This led to our engine completely failing on the side of the highway. After further investigation, it was found that Petrie did not fully investigate the issue we were having, and instead only looked at one small component/possible source of the issue. Their inability to completely and thoroughly diagnose the issue led to putting us in an extremely dangerous situation where we literally could have lost our lives. It was negligent behaviour that they continue to refuse to take accountability for. This situation was preventable, but resulted in us being stranded in on the highway in another province (with no assistance to get home from the dealership) and requiring us to completely replace the engine. On top of that, Chris, the Service Manager, has the most disgusting attitude we have ever witnessed. Even the GM-to-be, Lisa, admittedly described him as "defensive" in a face-to-face conversation that we had with her about our situation.... Doesn't instil a lot of trust if the GM is aware of this behaviour and continues to employee these people. If you ever have a problem with the service you receive, you will never get resolution from the dealership level Do yourself a favour and bring your vehicle elsewhere.

What began as a simple piston slap inspection for a warranty recall--originally quoted as one hour of labour--somehow ballooned into three hours, with little to no justification. This, coupled with the identification of a potential major roller rocker issue which is a know failure point (as I was told by the service tech and from many online forms that Audi Canada does not want to own up to), already had me questioning the transparency of your service department and the integrity of your sales department as this should have been caught in the pre sales inspection. Not long after, my A7 suffered a catastrophic failure of the main wiring harness, when I went to take it to another shop for the original issue effectively rendering the vehicle inoperable. To add insult to injury, this occurred after I had already invested time and money The result? The estimated cost of repairs was over $40,000-65,000 for 1 month of use. I was left with a major financial loss after being forced to trade in the vehicle following only 840 kilometers of use. The sheer audacity of how this situation unfolded--combined with the dismissive attitude from both Audi Kingston and Audi Canada corporate--is beyond comprehension. To experience such a severe mechanical and electrical failure on a flagship model, with no ownership of responsibility from those representing the brand, is an embarrassment to what Audi Kingston claims to stand for. Audi promotes itself as a brand of precision, performance, and integrity. Yet my experience has revealed none of those qualities. Instead, I was met with indifference, poor communication, and a complete disregard for customer loyalty. Losing more then half of its value in less than a thousand kilometers and a month of ownership is not an "unfortunate circumstance"--it's a failure of service, accountability, and basic ethics. I have been an Audi Kingston customer for quite a few years and have bought quite a few cars from them and have had some kind of issue with each sale. They are most likely going to reply "you should have bought the extended warranty" well I wanted to and mention that we could look at it when I picked the car up but it ended up being EOD and when I asked and was told that I had 90 days to get it. When I asked about it 2 weeks later as I wanted to get it and was told that they would get back to me with #'s. Then I brought the car in for the recall notice and was then told they can't give me a warranty until I perform the repair $12-37,000. I am no longer an Audi customer and would suggest not to buy from here.

While it did take months to finally get an appointment to drop off our car, the process in person was quick and painless - shout out to Candice for the help! The issues arose on delivery when Jeff Cowtan appointed a member of the team to show us around the new car/features. This man had never seen a C300 it seemed, he knew nothing about the car, was making up that the emblem on the trunk flips and acts as a camera - it does not and could not answer one question we had. This should have been our red flag but we were so excited and drove away. A few weeks in we noticed a shifting problem. When we break the car jerks forward, we connected with Pamela Lovelace and she booked us a service. They ran diagnostics and said they did a software update. Fast forward to 2023... still the exact same shifting issues so they replaced the transmission and torque converter after 6 services and replaced it with a refurbished transmission and torque converter (in which was never explained to me by the dealership) and I was devastated. I was basically driving a refurbished C300. Low and behold this did not solve the issue and there was still the same exact shifting concern. In between the years we had many rentals, one had mouse droppings cloaked all off the floor in the SUV they gave us. We called Pamela right away and she was not concerned. Stated this happens when they leave the cars outside the lot at night... I couldn't believe it. They refused to give me customer service's number and said to "google it". I also tried to work with Jeff in trading in the car or replacing it as my brand new vehicle always gave me issues and was essentially a lemon and he really didn't care. I spoke with Ed Jr the "owner" of the dealership and he guaranteed they would work something out to help trade it in - he lied.. basically they sent me 4 cars as options gave me no details if they would cover the balances and I never heard from anyone again. Fast forward to now - I went to arbitration and got in contact with the Regional VP of MB Canada and he got me into a 2020 GLC from Peterborough dealership costs covered - HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lacey Phillips, she is honest, trustworthy and overall a kind person. I knew right away this woman knows her stuff. She knew every feature, could answer your questions on a whim and was extremely friendly. A breathe of fresh air from Jeff Cowtan who from day 1 tried to scam us into paying for SIRIUS XM after he said he would cover the 500$ cost and then back pedaled on it until we had to fight him to cover the cost because he initially said he would until he did... Kingston dealership caused me nothing but problems, were horrible to deal with. ED Jr is useless and strung be along into believing he would help with the vehicle in either getting a new one or ensuring mine got fixed properly. Neither was done. Pamela Lovelace knows nothing about cars and was the only one relaying info about what was actually being done with my car while in the shop and what was wrong with it which really I didn't even find out the truth until arbitration. They have their receptionist relaying servicing info and not once did someone above the receptionist contact me about servicing my car 8 times in the last 2 years...Shouldn't this be flagged? Shouldn't a manager reach out and see what is happening? Not until I lost it and demanded to speak with Ed. I felt MB Kingston were very secretive and not transparent at all in what was happening with my car through this journey. I tell everyone this experience and it seems the more people I speak to the similar their experience has been at this dealership as well. I have happily switched my business to Peterborough and will never look back. I am appalled that its 2023 and the "car salesman" vibe of being untrustworthy and shady is still happening at Kingston. One last thing that no one in Peterborough could believe is Kingston MB is selling off market rims and snow tires... I thought this was common practice until they asked about my off market snow tires and rims and I told them Kingston sold them to me and they said this is unheard of. I showed them the invoice and no one would believe they are doing this as MB does not do this. ****Also please note that MB Dealerships are all privatized now as of I believe 2018 .. so MB Canada really cannot help you if a situation like this happens to you, you are STUCK with the dealership you choose so choose wisely!! I learned this the painfully hard way for close to 3 years of low end customer, sickening, rude, shady, untrustworthy customer service.
