The event hall is located close to the Ohio River (always a plus!) and appears to be very small from the outside. We parked on the street directly across from the venue, I didn't see an easily accessible parking lot connected to the building for guest use but there is public parking on the street and behind the flood wall. When you first walk inside there is a small reception type desk on your left and bathrooms on your right. Go through the main doors and there is a very spacious area complete with carpet and hardwood floors. The walls have mirrored archways to help give space to the venue; there is lots of ceiling space and great acoustics! The main focal point I noticed was the bar (no, not just because I fancy a drink or three) because of the giant wood banisters and it just gives that old time feel. This place was a nice little venue (there was about 50-60 people) thats updated, very clean, and close to the river. Bonus points: there is a small arts district and that quaint downtown feel a few blocks over! My husband and I both decided we were coming back for a small weekend trip to explore all the restaurants and museums we drove by!

It may be better to just pay for it outright depending on the number of guests in your party. There is plenty of parking around the hotel and you can enter thru side doors with room key. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel facilities, my room, and the ice machine area. All of this matters to me when I'm staying somewhere. Amethyst was so sweet when we checked in and cheerful. Then a geounds crew on a gator gets pissy with us bcz there is no parking so we are slowly looking for some, he mumbles something under his breath and shakes his head . Some of the plays are just fantastic, others still good, but not rock-n-roll great. There are 2 theaters, a smaller one where they have the murder mystery dinners and more intimate plays and a larger one for the bigger productions. The cast has several regulars who do a great job as well as newer cast members from time to time. The location is great and we usually grab a bite prior to the plays at one of the local restaurants. The plays usually have cookies and drinks and you can buy a refillable plastic cup to bring back each time you come for a play. The dinner shows are fun murder mysteries and have games and other fun activities throughout the play to break things up a bit. The food is usually okay, not great, but not awful. Still, well worth the price of admission. The staff are super friendly and always great to work with, especially the ladies that help with tickets and get things arranged. The plays recently have imbedded leftwing political themes, which have been a bit off putting. Sometimes these choices have nothing to do with the play and are just imbedded for no reason. This will be our final season.
