Kevin made contact with this firm after several tries, and got them to set up an (IME) independant medical evaulation, which they should have done back in March 2013, when they cut off my wages, even though I was still disabled. If it were not for his efforts, this situation would still be bouncing around out there in workers compensation space. Kevin got me the IME, a partial disability was assigned as a result, and a award was paid a short time ago. It amazes me that companies are allowed to skirt the law, and get away with it. He helped us through the process, stood with us in bankruptcy court, and made sure to let us know he was available when we needed his help. Well, about a week ago, I was having issues getting some paperwork I needed, so I just went to his office, and he spent quite a bit of time, helping me out, giving advice, walking through steps I needed to get done, and just being like a ... "father-figure?" I hate to say that, but that's kind of what it felt like. Finally, the paperwork I got done was still in limbo, and I was getting frustrated. Doors were closing, everyone was being helpful, and I was not getting any real answers. I called up the Podis and Podis again, and after another frustration, I was put through to Cynthia Podis, Mark's wife. She could tell I was very frustrated, and she took time out of her day to help me understand my situation, see my options, and encourage me that all would work out. All that said, I've HATED lawyers, but these two seem to understand that the people behind the legalese, jargon, paperwork, and courtrooms, are usually calling them while they are hurting. They seem to get it that you don't call a bankruptcy lawyer until you've been through many days of stress, or you've had to deal with a major disruption of your life and need the court to help get back on track.
