Years ago, I started seeing Kinzel's flower arrangements on the counters of different businesses. Every one of them was beautiful and stunning! So, I thought I'd give them a try. This a small, privately owned florist that provides personal and friendly service. Their arrangements are still as stunning and beautiful as ever and their delivery service is prompt and reliable. When my mom passed away a year ago, my coworkers sent a nice plant through Kinzel's flower shop. There were originally five plants in one. Before spring when I would be able to separate and replant them one died. I drove to Kinzels flower shop to see if I could purchase the plant that died. I talked to the woman at the counter and told her what happened and was advised to come back the following week after they go to the wholesalers. When I went back to the store, she had a similar plant because she couldn't find the exact one. She thought I need it. When I asked how much she said, don't worry about it you can have it!!! I was shocked and thankful needless to say. I don't send a lot of flowers and plants but needless to say if I ever need flowers or plants I will use Kinzels exclusively. Any more customer service is a lost art, this small shop still has tons of customer service and I appreciate it. I will recommend them to anyone that I know in need of flowers. read more

It's almost impossible to explain the kindness of the Midwest and businesses like the family owned Kinzel's Flower Shop unless you've been away for too long. My husband, brother in law and I came straight from the airport to pick up a Get Well flower arrangement for our 85 year old mother who was on the mend from a nasty case of COVID. We all walked in to the floral shop that sits on a quiet street. We were thrilled when greeted by the smiling face of who we believe to be the owner. We stated our needs nervously and he told us this was our lucky day because anything we need is going to be on the house. Coming from New York City, we laughed, automatically assuming he was joking. He asked us to pick from the gorgeous arrangements and as we scanned the shelves for a small bouquet, he pulls out this gigantic vase filled with colored roses. He hands it to us and says, No Charge! He continued, I'm getting ready to go on vacation with my family for two weeks, I'm closing up so they'd go to waste anyway. We were floored. He could have made an easy hundred bucks without effort but instead, he gave us this incredible story to tell and beautiful gift for our mother. I wish zero stars was an option! I called to order a funeral spray advertised on their website for $84.95. I was told by the person who answered the phone that they didn't do funeral sprays for less than $100.00. When I questioned why the website had that price, I was given to a man, who I presume was the owner. He was extremely curt and told me that funeral sprays started at $125.00. When I again questioned the advertised price, he told me that he could make one for the price I saw, but it would be "very sparse" and I "won't be happy with it." Both persons that I spoke with blamed the price difference on Teleflora. A 50% difference in price between the actual and advertised price isn't minor. Rather than being apologetic, the attitude was more one of "if you want the flowers, you can deal with the price difference." I ordered from Dick's Flowers instead and the experience was just the opposite. And, by the way, I got the same size spray arrangement for the advertised price of $85.00! Do yourself a favor and call Dick's Flowers instead of this sham of a business operation. read more

My son(lives out of town) ordered flowers for me on 05-09-2020 for Mother's day, what I received wasn't even in the same category of what was ordered. Needles to say he was not happy when I sent him the picture of what I got. This is the first time the online service has used this florist for my flowers and will be the last. No information was attached to the plant on what it was or how to take care of it. I had to call to find out what the plant was and then they didn't even know what they sent me. I had to explain the plant and the lady said it probably is a Hibiscus plant and apologized. I have been getting flowers for years and never had this issue. Any way I am not the happiest person. The one bloom fell off the same day and the one other bud and the leaves have been falling off since. I would have rather gotten the flowers another day instead of rushing to send for Mother's day and something I didn't want. If they would have called my son or me we would have told them that. 1st picture is what was ordered, 2nd picture is what I got, 3rd picture is what it looks like now. read more

Absolutely horrible! The first picture is what I had ordered and paid for and the second picture is what they actually delivered. I was embarrassed by the flowers that Kinzels actually delivered! It wasn't even close to what I ordered!This isn't the first time there has been an issue either. Today is Valentine's Day. The day where you are supposed to spend money to show someone how much you love or like them. I got a call that I had a delivery at the front desk at my workplace. I was SHOCKED, that I had flowers being delivered to me. It was a beautiful red vase with red roses, pink mums, white daisy's and baby's breathe. I have been in my office all day since and my office has a wonderful aroma coming from the arrangement. VERY NICE surprise. read more

Ordered a "tulips and pine", description says 10 white tulips, white pine, silver bow, and shows a round clear straight sided vase. What I got was yellow tulips, no white pine, a purple bow, and a curvy glass vase, with one of those cheap looking butterflies stuck in the top. Literally nothing like the picture or description. I know there is a box to check if you don't want them to use any substitutions, but nothing was the same. I also called them as soon as I placed the order to confirm it sent, and the gentleman said he would call if there were any problems putting it together. I called to let them know they delivered the wrong arrangement and they said they didn't have any white tulips, white pine, and apparently no silver ribon or clear straight vases. So I guess a phone call to inform you your entire arrangement is being substituted is too much to ask. I don't have $60 to waste, if you don't either then I would suggest spending it elsewhere. I would give them a 0 rating if I could. read more

Not going to lie.. I was kind of scared when reading reviews and seeing how the service was here but I had no other choice. All I have to say is those reviews on their service being negative and rude are completely INCORRECT. This place had to be the best service for flowers I've ever had. They were open to adding more roses to my order for a reasonable price addition. I got there to pick up and was greeted very nicely. The gentleman at the counter was so courteous. The lady that helped me with my flowers out to the car is a saint. Such a nice lady. So yes I was skeptical and I took a chance on this place. I was so pleased with the service I received from Kinzels. My sister-in-law passed away right before Thanksgiving. I live out of state and wanted to order a casket arrangement for my children for their aunt. I was told that they couldn't get the flowers due to the flower markets closed for the holiday. The owner agreed to find some flowers and come in on the day after Thanksgiving to make the arrangement. He said he couldn't guarantee the colors but would try to get pastels. I was delighted to see the final arrangement it was stunning. I couldn't have been more pleased. Very few businesses go above and beyond like this. I placed an order online early this morning because the shop did not open until after I would already be at work. The order was to be for pink carnations AND delivered in a "Pink Reflections Vase" as part of the "Teleflora's Radiant Reflections Bouquet". Nowhere on the website did it say "image may be different than product delivered". Though the flowers were very beautiful and delivered quickly, the vase, a very important part of my order, was not used. When I called I got "well, someone already had a vase out", then it changed to "we don't have that vase". Knowing I was not pleased, I was told the owner would call me back, however the call I got was from the same person and not the owner. I was then told that if I was not happy, they would go pick up the flowers they already delivered and refund me. WHAT? So they want to take back the surprise and smile on the face of who received them? Who does that? It was also mentioned it was not their website, but that of Teleflora. Teleflora should pay closer attention to whom they use to do their business. I was not notified that the order I placed was NOT going to be the order delivered. Nor was I offered any form of discount. Only that they would "go pick them up"! So not happy. read more
