The medical staffing is incredible, given this small, rural location. We have access to primary care providers as well as excellent specialists in urology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and physical therapy. Our family has experienced the services of Copper Queen Community Hospital's emergency services, inpatient care, and surgical teams. Each time we've needed CQCH, the care and concern of the doctors, nurses, and physicians assistants has been genuine and the quality of care excellent. Knowing that our primary care providers are associated with this facility gives us a great degree of comfort, knowing that we have wonderful healthcare very close to home when needed.

The funny thing is, she turned away my daughter who was new to the area because she *suspected* that she wanted pain management. (My daughter has a ruptured disc in her lower back and did need a referral to a surgeon, but she was really just looking for a GP to take care of the day-to-day stuff. You know. The occasional sinus infection. Keeping an eye on cholesterol, dietary advice, running tests for any weird stuff that pops up. Normal GP things.) If that weren't the case, there'd be no other doctor for me. Breaks my heart that I can't have a great GP for hormonal issues because I also broke my back as a child. My broken back is fixed. I have a doctor who treats my pain, so that's not an issue that the GP has to deal with. Hardly seems fair.

They never respond to messages left on the answering machine. The pharmacy never gets a response when a refill request is sent to the office. It doesn't matter whether it is faxed in or called in. We managed to deal with it until D. Patel started giving my husband dangerous advise, then we got him a new primary care doctor.

We arrived early 10:45 am, trying to be responsible and prepared, only to be told by staff that we were "too late" and needed to reschedule. Reporting we were to be there 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. appointment. This response was frustrating, to never be told to come in 30 minutes early for the appointment is unacceptable. This experience made it feel as though our loved one's pain doesn't truly matter at this facility. The staff's being dismissive was disheartening, especially considering how long we had waited for this appointment and how much pain my loved one continues to endure. Patients shouldn't feel turned away or inconvenienced due to staff's mistakes. Now my whole family has to pay for this mistake while our love one waits in pain to be rescheduled for that next appointment. This experience was very upsetting and, in my opinion, unacceptable.

Sierra Vista is not the smallest town I've lived in and it certainly is far from the largest city I've lived in. It's always hard to move and find new doctors and a team that cares for you. I have had to navigate all of this in the past. I know that if I live at a higher elevation, my condition needs more attention. Moving to SV was a decision I did not take lightly because of my health. I am actually glad I moved to Sierra Vista. It's been almost two years now and I have to say that of all the places I've lived, this where I have gotten the best care for my condition. These doctors are impressive in their knowledge. That's not all though. They listen, they care, and they say what they are going to do. Not in any other place did my doctors make sure I was connected to the two other types of specialists I need to see regularly. One of these has to be in Phoenix and they made all the arrangements. I got to Phoenix for my appointment and the doctor told me that he had received a call personally from my hematologist in Sierra Vista and he had all the relevant records to help me. I couldn't be happier. Who would have imagined that there is gem of a Practice like Southwest Cancer Care. I have never been let down here and they continue to give me the best care possible.
